We enjoyed our three night stay at the hotel over the New Years holiday. The staff at check-in was friendly as expected in Thailand. The hotel lobby furniture was slightly oversized for its space as we had to walk around it to get to the elevator. Our room was comfortable and large enough for our two moderately sized suite cases. We booked a room with breakfast, which was one of the best we have had at a hotel. We each got to order a couple dishes off the menu, which were excellently presented and tasted excellent. Additionally, there was a buffet with pastries, fruits, etc. Unfortunately, due to our early schedule two of the days we could not get the hot breakfast. On our last morning they provided a packed breakfast, which was a sandwich and other less memorable food. The hot breakfast was the most memorable thing for us about the hotel. I did also like the room design. In terms of hotel location, it is fairly central with shopping malls and restaurants a 5 – 10 minute walk away. We found traffic to be really slow around New Years with lots of Thais. This was my second time to Chiang Mai with my first trip in July over a decade ago. During both trips we had a friend who lives in Chiang Mai drive us around. I would say traffic during our first trip was not memorable, unlike at New Years. This made getting to the hotel from the main street slow and it may be better to pickup taxi/grab/ride on a main street. It may also be worth checking out when busy times are in Chiang Mai to have a more enjoyable trip.

(Me dio una habitación en el piso superior 608 para ser precisa. El tamaño de la habitación estaba bien, pero los muebles que podía ver lo sucio y tirar abajo el relleno donde. En el hotel, el hotel está cerca de una carretera y en la noche no me queda mucho sueño. El hotel está en una zona de la ciudad, donde se encuentra el centro de la ciudad.

En diciembre de 2015, vinemos allí con mi familia. La vista desde nuestra habitación era excelente (reservamos tres habitaciones) y la habitación era muy limpia. Este hotel es el mejor para relajarse porque la zona es muy tranquila. El desayuno también es delicioso, pero no escribieron el nombre de la comida (que nos hace difícil identificar la comida de la mezquita). Otro problema es que no hay hoteles cercanos o tiendas (como 7-11 tiendas de conveniencia) (el hotel más cercano tiene que caminar 10-15 minutos para llegar). Además, la experiencia global es excelente.

¡Aquí se detuvo algunas veces, principalmente porque mi ley tailandesa ama el lugar, sólo porque está tan cerca del aeropuerto. Cada visita algo estaba mal! No es exactamente el alojamiento más barato, tampoco se pondría el baño en una habitación, las tapices en el baño se volvieron con las mangas en otra habitación. El Wi-Fi no existe en una habitación.No había agua caliente en otra. Cada habitación las cubiertas de ducha llenas de agua sabosa y era muy liso; peligroso en realidad. El desayuno estaba bien para mí, nada flash. Tost, jamón, jugo, té, café, milo, todas las bases. No estoy seguro de por qué la gente estaba subiendo por la ventana para llegar aquí. Una dama que vi desapareció todo el marrón de su tost, así que eso es sólo blanco! ! ?? (Algo que tiene que ver con Tailandia creyendo que la tostadora causa cáncer me dijeron). Amo el signo junto al tostador que realmente funcionó (el otro se rompió en cada visita y estaba sentado ahí recolectando polvo). No hay cáncer de ese uno! En este sentido, las palabras: ”Por favor no pongan mantequilla y jamón en pan antes de ponerlo en tostadora”. Al menos la cerveza de la recepción 'refrigeración' fue más barata que la mayoría de las tiendas. ¡Qué lindo y frío también! Gotta lo ama!

I was pleasantly surprised and had an exceptional experience at De Chai Oriental. I had almost booked an Airbnb and only moved last minute to a Hotel to avail of daily housekeeping and the morning breakfast. While I was weary at first, I was extremely pleased with the quality of the room, the furnishing, the housekeeping, the quaint little breakfast and most importantly the staff. Big shoutout to Khun Jam and Khun Bow at the brekafast counter every morning. They are pleasant, hospitable and extremely kind even if it’s past the brekafast hour. Also, a big thank you to Khun Nack and Khun Wahn who helped me through tours and bookings of the elephant sanctuary, guidance with taxis for Doi Suthep and assistance with late checkout due to flight delay. Apologies to anyone whose name I may have forgotten from the front desk or brekafast room! This Hotel is close to every single coffee shop, famous eatery and bars. There are ample 7/11s, rooftop bars, McDonald’s and massage parlours around. The famous Why Not Italian restaurant is bang opposite to the Hotel door. I would recommend this place at a heartbeat and hopefully return for a stay during my next visit to Chiang Mai. Best

The unique Thai wooden house resort with plush garden and vegetation around the pool at center of resort is center of Nimman. All coffee shops, restaurant, walking, shopping and near Maya shopping mall. Easy to get in and out to and from there, to the old city and other places around. Nice place, cute, boutique, friendly staff, forthcoming service and all working. Very recommended.
