Bon Villa Retreat

the rooms were quite nice specially the bathroom which had all nice amenities, just loved the stay room was quite spacious and its a busy hotel so you will have fun interacting with other people. Only drawback is the food which is on an expensive side so i suggest to have food outside within 2 km range.

Nice and Well behaved staff. They look after requirements of the Guests.Receptionist ***ager was very cordial n helpful. We extended our stay from one day to 02 days. Non fire was made for us. Services were fantastic. I would mention , stay for Kaziranga. Stay at Bon Villa.

Excellent accommodation at Bon Villa retreat. The hotel is not just a vertical tower type accommodation but one which has lot of open space around with ample car parking and a beautiful view of paddy fields. The rooms are very spacious. We were 2 adults and 2 children who visited Kaziranga on May 1st. There is no lift service which may pose slight challenge for elderly. The boys there are very helpful and prompt. They bring the luggage to the room promptly and don't expect Tips. We did tip them and the boys were contented. They arranged for an extra mattress. TV is of no use as they had not recharged it and we too were not interested in watching anything there. The linen was very clean. AC was working absolutely fine. Remotes were in place and fully functional. Bathrooms were spic and span, very clean. Geyser is small and is ok for 1 person to take bath. The next person has to wait for few minutes for the water to get heated. Room service is good. The food is slightly pricy though but of good quality and fresh. Plain rice is 105 a bowl. We ordered 2 bowls of rice, 1 brinjal fry (similar to bajji ,was excellent) and Dal fry ***** with a bowl of curd. Total was 570. 2 kinley bottles of water are kept complimentary in the room. Breakfast was good. We had planned to check put by 8 am. They made exclusive arrangement for our early breakfast. They gave ample pooris bhaji idlis sambar bread and bananas. The breakfast was filling and tasty. Idli was slightly hard but was fine, it is unfair to expect perfection everywhere. Orchids is just 4 kms away from Bon villa retreat and Kaziranga jeep safari starting point is just around 8.5 kms from here. Bon villa can arrange for a jeep safari from hotel but charge 4000. We had car as part of package tour available at our disposal. So we went to the jeep safari starting point and it costed only 3000. So if you have a vehicle your disposal please go to Jonaki Kareng and book safari from there. If you do not have a vehicle better to pay 4k and visit. The rack rate of Bon villa is 4000 per night. They do offer off season discounts. Call them to check for the price for your dates.

It is a very good property but poorly maintained. The front office staff are very good and helpful. The location is very close to National Park Kaziranga. All the electrical fittings were not working. The fan regulator was not working and a staff assisted to set it at a particular speed with the help of a cutting plier. AC was not all working. The only advantage was the coffee maker was working and chargers were working. The room was spacious and the geizer was not working. It needs a small attention to check all these electrical fittings which we have complained in the reception. However, the room was very good.

Rooms are very very unsafe (room 204), room locks not working (room 202), window grill (room 202) kept unlocked), no CCTV surveillance in 2nd floor corridor, where premium rooms are for premium customers, 1 waiter (for room service named Navjet) not at all trustworthy, theft of cash worth 10k happened on the very 1st day when we went for dinner in the restaurant. Very much disappointed, disheartened and unsatisfied. ***agers (Naresh & Govinda) refused to entertain any Solution for this incident and did not take the matter seriously. Otherwise, Suraj & Barnali of Restaurant were very good and polite. So request all of you to think twice before booking this hotel for your stay at Kaziranga. Advice to avoid this hotel. There are other good hotels & resorts available in Kaziranga - like ***du - the escape resort, IORA - the retreat, etc.

Terrible experience. Staff is very rude. They charged 4900 for rooms yet room lacked basic amenities like toiletries, hair dryer. Food is super expensive yet extremely poor quality. It’s better to eat in local Dhabas than here
