Luna

It was my second time on Capri and will definitely not be my last! Hotel Luna is a truly magical place, with a fantastically warm team to greet you. The view is stunning as you get a clear view of the Faraglioni rocks - and I could have sat on the balcony and taken it in all day. Not only that, but the staff are exceptional. I have worked in customer service before and I always notice when the service is more than above average. The head waiter at the pool restaurant, Luigi, is a credit to the hotel - he knows so much about the island, explaining the history and telling me exactly where to go to check out the best bits - and he makes the best espresso martinis! Also Francesco who runs the pool - he is the most delightful man and very efficient. Both Luigi and Francesco made our holiday special. Truly, the whole team were fantastic, and didn't drop their service the entire time I was there, even moving around the sun loungers so we could get the best of the very good weather we were having. Thank you Hotel Luna, Luigi and all the team for a fantastic time, my husband and I will be back as soon as we can.

This a beautiful quiet hotel with ocean view rooms of the Faraglioni. The pool was lovely and rooms were small but comfortable and typically European. The bathroom has a double sink. The shower is a rain-bath that can be changed to a hand held. I am not a fan but my husband loves it. The breakfast was nice with no upcharge for eggs. It’s in a quiet part of town and down the hill from the main piazza. Keep that in mind because if you can’t manage hills this is not the hotel for you. You can’t control the temperature of your AC. The pool was great but the lunch offered at the pool area is rather limited. My biggest complaint I would say is a strange one. They use some type of alcohol based cleaner to clean the rooms. With Covid I suppose a necessity and you should be happy about. But for some reason in my room - number 214 - the alcohol smell was so strong it made it hard to sleep. I felt like it was suffocating me. We could not sleep with the balcony doors open as the heat was equally as oppressive. Other members of our group did not have that problem. I could not figure out why it was so strong a smell in my room. I tried to find a source and even wiped down the tile on the floor. It was just strange but oppressive and never dissipated . I even kept the balcony doors open one afternoon during the day but that made the room hot and once the doors were shut the smell was just as strong. It was just strange. I did complain to the front desk and was told the hotel was sold out and they could not change my room. They did send a man to investigate who wore a mask so in my opinion would have impeded his sense of smell. He did not seem overly concerned and their solution was an oil based air freshener that did nothing to mask the smell. In hindsight I should have asked for the manager because it really interfered in the quality of my stay. Would have given a higher rating otherwise.

Best view on Capri. My wife and I have been traveling to Capri for 13 summers. We found Hotel Luna last year and came back again this past September. The staff is very friendly (especially at the pool). The view is a 10+. Be sure and try to book one of the two Imperial Rooms.

It’s a great location , rooftop bar is excellent, most staff is good except Michaelo (the senior staff member) who tried to pull a fast one on us saying check out is 11.30 but he can allow 30 mins extra when the other staff and the website clearly says that check out is noon. This is not nice to fool your customer who is paying a lot the stay and this attitude leaves a very bad taste and one never wants to go again

I recently traveled to Capri for a wedding, and my original plan was to stay in an Air BNB with friends, but I found the accommodation less than favorable. I was lucky enough to find a single room at the Luna Hotel during my stay, and I have nothing but positive things to say about the hotel, the grounds, the amenities, and, most of all, the staff. The staff were among the nicest people I met on the island, and they went out of their way to make my stay pleasurable. I can't thank them enough.

The hotel is lovely but tough for older folks as it is a far walk to the center square. The staff was accommodating but not overly warm and friendly. Our room had issues with the air conditioning which was an issue since temperatures were hovering near 100 degrees. We asked several times for maintenance to look at it, but were told it was fixed. It was not. I would not stay here again, they seem to cater to the wealthier clients.

Sono stato presso quest’hotel prima in viaggio di nozze e poi una settimana in ferie quest’anno: personale estremamente cortese e disponibile per qualsiasi esigenza, hotel molto bello e stanze molto pulite. Struttura veramente ottima. Vorrei ringraziare tutto lo staff per la bellissima settimana che ci hanno fatto passare

Terza volta presso l'Hotel Luna . Vacanza indimenticabile come sempre . Camera Deluxe con panorama favoloso su mare e Faraglioni . Personale estremamente gentile e preparato . Ottima soluzione il ROOFTOP sul tetto dell'hotel . Ritorneremo , spero presto .

Hotel Luna per me ha rappresentato un sogno . La struttura è immersa in un giardino fiabesco incredibilmente a pochi passi dalle vie turistiche . Tutto è molto curato , l’hotel ha un aspetto fresco ma conserva al contempo lo stile tipico e armonioso dell’isola . Il personale è attento, gentile e estremamente professionale. La camera era enorme , è stato aggiunto un terzo letto per nostra figlia ma c’era spazio a volontà, perché le dimensioni sono quelle di due camere standard.Due i bagni presenti e pulizia eccellente. Il punto forte senz’altro il balcone affacciato direttamente sui faraglioni, un panorama incredibile solo per noi , le sdraio per godersi il mare , le albe e i tramonti, non trovo le parole per descrivere tanta emozione e bellezza . La colazione ottima con ampio buffet .L’ultimo giorno abbiamo usufruito della piscina ,anch’essa magnifica con vista mare e faraglioni. Una menzione speciale alla terrazza rooftop dell’hotel . Spero di tornare altre mille volte . Grazie di tutto !
