This hotel is located off the main road, requiring a short drive on a dirt path up a hill. On clear days, you can enjoy a stunning view of the snow-capped mountains. All the staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. Since I was traveling alone, the hotel thoughtfully adjusted the hotpot portion to suit one person — which I really appreciated — and it was absolutely delicious. Every room offers a view of the snowy mountains. The in-room amenities are of high quality, the room is cozy and comfortably warm, and the size is just right — not too big or small. My favorite part, though, was the hotel’s common area, especially during sunset when the snow mountains turn red. The staff even invited me to step outside and take photos, which was so sweet of them. The next morning, I had to leave early, but breakfast normally starts late. Still, the staff kindly prepared an early breakfast just for me. Overall, the service mindset here is truly impressive, and the hotel’s common area is stunning — a paradise for photography lovers, with countless beautiful spots for pictures.

This hotel was good except for the disappointment about the gym. We booked this hotel specifically out of others in kangding as it was written on booking that the hotel offers a gym. We are on a training program and need a gym. When we arrived and asked about the gym they said that the gym had not been opened yet. When I asked why they advertise themselves as hotel with a gym the response was “we used to have a gym, now it’s under renovation because some of the equipment is out of use”, and when I asked if I still could use what equipment that was working, the response was simply no and that I can go to an outdoor exercise area outside in the freezing cold. So rude! Except for this the hotel was totally fine, nice rooms and good breakfast. Just don’t advertise what you don’t have online, it leaves costumers dissatisfied even if the rest was good.

I booked the ”river view” room on the 13th floor and obviously, I stuck gold after cranking my head from my room window, looking down to the raging water roaring through the river in the center of the city street. When I said ”raging” water, I meant cascading flows that echo through the entire city block. I had seen such terrain in Switzerland before but this is more impressive. So ”location” is the biggest merit and I would recommend never sparing the money in exchange for the river=side room. Plus, the hotel is looking against the famous ”Love Song” Plaza of KarnDin City. For those who wonder what the big deal is about the ”KangDin Love Song”. For starters, it is a part of the Chinese growing-up song that is deeply entrenched in education, for even a person raised in Taiwan, let alone ethnical Chinese in the Mailand. It is more like a pilgrimage than touring that brought many to the city. The smaller plaza right in front of the hotel lobby begins to gather impromptu dances at about 8 pm (Beijing time, local time ~ 6 p.m.). I admire the local Tibetans of all ages whose spontaneity sways with the music. The hotel doorman told me that yes, there were Han tourists also in the troupe, but you could usually tell them apart because they were the awkward-looking ones. I have no complaints about the service, and I appreciate the enthusiasm the front desk people show when I try to gather information. One more thing before I leave: if you are tired of the summer heat, Kangdin is the city you want to come! In late June, the daily high is 12 C! The travel to the city has made extremely convenient by the recent completed Highway 42--an incredible feat of tunnel engineering in the world.

La cadena de hoteles Mushan Yingxue es definitivamente la mejor opción para viajar al oeste de Sichuan. Especialmente esta tienda insignia de Kangding tiene sus propias aguas termales geotérmicas naturales, que son realmente cómodas. The hotel is huge and welcoming. It was a rainy day when we arrived and two ladies were waiting for us with umbrellas, that was really good service! Rooms are comfortable, big bed and nice clean bathroom. On the other hand you can see that it is getting old and there is some lack of maintenance and attention: the toilet seat was very loose and the window hatch was broken, so that it couldn't be totally closed and the noise from the main road was a bit annoying, lack of cleaning. The tasty dinner was served in the beautiful bookstore, but tables are very low for having dinner and the menu is a bit pricey. Breakfast was served in the room, which is surely better (but no drinks provided). WiFi is working fine. Overall is good if you have to stop on your way down from the mountains, as it is really on the main road and you don't loose time in driving in Kangding, where parking is more problematic (here there is plenty of space).

Me sorprendió gratamente encontrar una buena tienda. El B&B está equipado con una sala de ajedrez y cartas, uso gratuito de la cocina, té de la tarde gratis y la hermosa vista del vestíbulo. Nos ascendieron a una habitación de forma gratuita. El interior de la habitación está exquisitamente diseñado, es moderno pero acogedor. Hay una sensación de satisfacción y el entusiasmo y la profesionalidad del personal de servicio también aportan mucho a toda la experiencia de la estancia.

Amazing hostel with cozy interior and a really lovely host who made the stay extra enjoyable! The location was ideal for me as the hostel is high enough up the hill that you get an stunning view but still only have to walk around 10 minutes (up/down hill) to get to the centre of the city. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the common area for relaxing is beautifully decorated in traditional ******* style. The host was really helpful and caring (always bringing us tea and snacks) and we had some great conversations with her about life in Kangding. She gave us lots of advice on what to do in the city, helped us out organizing cheap transport back to Chengdu, and even made us a super unique and delicious fusion meal of yak steak with salad. Highly recommend if you’re looking for somewhere with a traditional feel and a great view!

La habitación tenía calefacción y una manta eléctrica. Aunque no había aire acondicionado, era bastante acogedora. Además, disfrutamos de un desayuno tibetano por la mañana.
