Bed and Breakfast en Split

This is an intimate 5-room establishment situated amidst the alleys of the Old Town, hence cars cannot drop passengers at the doorstep. Easy enough to catch a shuttle bus for EUR 8 from the airport to the bus station at the port, from which a Makarun staff will meet you and assist you with your luggage to the hotel, a 10-minute walk away. Breakfast is a la carte, as is to be expected for such a small establishment, comprising 3 courses - pastry/toast, eggs of your choice with cold cuts, and a dessert, complemented by tea coffee and/or juice. Food was more than adequate in terms of quantity and quality. My room was comfortable enough, though 2 issues were noticeable: * Instead of a flat cotton bed sheet, there was a fitted sheet made of what seemed like jersey, and looked more like a mattress protector.This was pilled and coarse, in contrast to the far smoother cotton quilt cover. When I brought this to the attention of the staff they explained that this is standard for the hotel. Whilst it did not affect the quality of my sleep, the coarseness of the sheet wasn't entirely pleasant * In the bathroom, the shower was mounted at waist height, hence one either had to hold the shower in one hand, or, if there was a need to use both hands to wash, then one would have to crouch under the shower while it was in its holder. Not particularly convenient. Overall a comfortable stay in a convenient location, enhanced by the friendly and solicitous Ivan and Mario.

El dueño es muy amable y entusiasta. Introducirá restaurantes y grupos de viajes deliciosos cercanos, incluso en el cuarto de tres plantas más alto, me ayudará a recoger el equipaje. La residencia está muy cerca de las atracciones, realmente está en el centro de la ciudad, basicamente se puede decir que son las atracciones abajo. Sin embargo, será relativamente suave, pero no hay gran problema para cerrar las ventanas. Las habitaciones son muy limpias y cómodas, ofrecen café y té, se puede lavar directamente con la nevera y las bebidas están disponibles. El baño también es muy amplio, hay toallas, lavabos, ventiladores, etc. La alojamiento también ofrece desayuno, a dos minutos del restaurante cercano, el desayuno ofrece tres comidas opcionales, además de té y café. En resumen, además de ir al tercer piso, es básicamente perfecto.

Tony and Antonio were the perfect hosts. The room was spacious. The ensuite was as well. The accommodations location was perfect for me. It was near the train station the bus station the ferries the restaurant the sightseeing the open markets and also pharmacies. I cannot fault the room the location nor the superbly attentive lovely ladies in the breakfast room who made me probably the yummiest omelette I’ve had in a long time. Anyone travelling this accommodation is five star at probably what I would say a three star price Tony and Antonio are the best 

Excellent location right in the centre of great restaurants and the tourism hotspots. The room and bathtub are great. Good wifi and television box for plenty of viewing options. Rooftop garden/outdoor area is amazing at sunset (see attached photos). A couple of things to prepare yourself for which are out of the control of the hotel owners: there are 90 steps to the floor where the rooms are so would not recommend if you are physically challenged, and the restaurants in the square do have music till quite late which is audible in the rooms so light sleepers may like to try ear plugs. Sound did not bother us and the walk up the stairs was good for our health! The whole of the city has bell ringing at various times during the day (7am, Midday, 8pm) No need to set an alarm to wake up in the morning!

Los hermanos de la recepción son muy bonitos. La puerta es la tienda de helados y todo tipo de tiendas de comidas. ¡Caminar al mar por cinco minutos! Split es tan pequeño, ¡está muy cerca de todos los caminos!

Pro - very close to the Golden Gate and is easy to find. Check in is straightforward. The room is on the first floor above ground so it wasn't the most difficult thing to lift our luggages up. Con - (1) the actual room looks nothing like the pictures online. The online pictures (taken with wide lens mode) show the room to be much larger and brighter, whereas the room is in fact very small and relatively poorly lit. For one, the bed is literally two footsteps away from the door, and we were struggling to find space to open our luggages. (2) One of the beds in the room is in fact a sofa bed, but the property did not declare this when we booked. We spent a lot of time trying to book places which do not use sofa beds but actual beds, and so we can't help but feel that we were misled and misrepresented to. (3) There is a bit of noise. The property is right next to the road and near a pub with some rowdy youths at times. (4) Facilities are minimal. There is only one chair, and the table is very small. Everything else is basic. Nothing luxurious about it despite its name and the photos. (5) There is no lift at the property. We would not have chosen this property if we had a second chance.

Es muy conveniente porque está cerca de las atracciones turísticas y la estación de autobús. Hay muchos restaurantes deliciosos cerca. Tengo que llamar a los propietarios para que me ayuden a hacer el ingreso, así que pedí a mi vecino que me ayudara.
