Motel 6 Ashland, VA

The lobby stunk of body odor. One wonders how, with a hotel full of rooms that have showers in them, the clerk could still stink. His dandruff was all over, too. Just gross. Then I specifically requested a ground floor room and he tried to get me to go on the second floor. When I said no, and got the first floor room, I found the whole row of at least 5 ground floor rooms empty. So why would I be offered a second floor room at all??? Just ridiculous. And to add insult to injury, the clerk helping me actually stopped helping me to redo the key card for a fellow countryman who came in AFTER me. That might fly in whatever third world country they’re from, but it does not fly here. I’ve stored that one in the back of my brain for the next time I’m looking for a place to stay. It won’t be here. Then, in the room, the sheets all had stains, some blood, some paw prints, others that I don’t want to even think about. I mean the sheets had clearly been washed but is it too much trouble to actually spot clean and get these stains out before other guests have to sleep on them? And finally, one pillow actually had MOLD in it! We always check the pillows and bed for creepy crawlies, or whatever. Gross. Just a completely disappointing stay at a hotel I’ve been to numerous times as it’s convenient along 95.

It was terrible. There were rodents the fridge and the microwave were extremely dirty. My husband and I stopped in just get some rest and a shower before continuing our trip. Unfortunately the next morning there was no hot water we were disappointed with the whole experience and felt uneasy once we saw roaches crawling on the desk.

Floor was coming up Drapes looked like they was thrower on the rod. ROACHS floor hasn’t been wash in a month.

Very dirty old rooms Ants Bedding not clean Bathroom not clean, no toilet paper holder, writing on the bathroom wall

The rooms doesn't look like the pictures on the site . They have gnats everywhere...sheets were dirty and old..the tube was dirty.. Spider webs around the room...towels and washclothes wasn't clean ..The floor hasn't been swept..

We moved out of the first room bc of the roaches, moved all the way across the hotel and not as many, but still several. When I say roaches, I mean lots of babies literally crawling in broad daylight. The lock on the inside of the room was held on by 1 screw and a paper towel. We paid for 2 queen beds, but when we moved, we were given 2 double beds with twin sheets that wouldn't stay on the bed! A sheet for a blanket. No, seriously a *****ed sheet. Microwave was peeling on the inside and there was tons of rust showing. Saw the cleaning lady- needless to say, they need a better cleaning person. She wasn't even there a couple hours. Probably a big reason for roaches. When I went to the front and was telling the young man about the pests and room issues, I kid you not, I would've assumed he was a wax figure. Had the nerve to ask me if we'd used the room yet. There's a lot more, but it probably won't do any good. I now understand why Motel 6's slogan is, "We'll leave the light on for you," just to scare off the roaches!

For a no thrills hotel, it was safe, clean, had a great check-in, and was close to a Cracker Barrel. (LoL) excellent

It was perfectly fine for one night. A little but rundown, but mostly clean and there were plenty of quick food options nearby.
