Summer Beach Hotel

The best thing was the room… lots of space, cupboards and drawers. Had a great view (in the second apartment we were moved to). Good to have a kettle and a sunny balcony. The food: not much for vegetarians!!! Very repetitive food!!! And flies over all of it. There was always a lot of choice for desserts. Dining area could be made much nicer with a bit of imagination rather than the canteen it felt like. Drinks: acceptable. The guys at the bar were serving with a smile! Honestly probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and I've done some traveling! Booked a 4 star hotel and it's realistically probably a 2 star, the other hotels in the chain are 4 star and there is a world of difference. Hotel room was large but basic, hardest mattress, couldn't get a good night sleep but run was fairly quiet. I took a bug plug in so thankfully didn't have the bug problem others have mentioned! The restaurant if you can call it that is completely separate from the hotel, every day the food was a rotation of the same cold offerings. There was several nights I just had bread and butter and an ice-cream. The last few nights of the stay the food quality was slightly improved but still not at all acceptable standard and still just "warm" I didn't manage to get a drink served correctly at all in the restaurant even when asking for basic drinks such as orange juice. At one stage I asked for a ouzo lemonade and the server just walked off to put cutlery on another table. The pool was disgusting, wasn't cleaned or even chemically treated the whole time we were there, I'm surprised no one has been seriously ill from it! Absolutely disgusting. The 'all inclusive' was an absolute farce. Never have I been to a hotel where bottled water comes at an extra fee! There was basic spirits, beer, wine and soft drinks and 3 'cocktails' gin fizz which was just gin and lemonade. Blue lagoon which was vodka, blue Curacao and sprite and sanfrancisco which was vodka banana liqueur and Fanta with grenadine, any proper cocktails were at an extra fee. The pool bar didn't open until half 10, and since you had no bottled water in your room unless you go for breakfast late you need to use the shop to get a drink to last you through. The pool bar shut at half 6 and the only option of drinks after this time at the hotel was to sit and drink in the restaurant until 11. We got told by other guests we could use the sister hotels (this wasn't made clear by staff) and have even had staff telling us we couldn't. All in all I wouldn't advise booking this hotel if you haven't already as I don't understand how anyone is giving it the good reviews they are!

First of all I would like to point out that the star ratings are different in different countries. Please don’t let the bad reviews of this place put you off. The hotel was basic, but it was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the cleaners came every day. The pool was not the cleanest, but you could still use it! You can also use the sister hotel, Mare Beach which is round the corner with a nicer pool and beds, they also share our restaurant. The only downside to our holiday was the food, which could of been a bit hotter. My only recommendation to the hotel is to find a way to heat the food better so it isn't warm/cold even when it is first put out. Other than that we had a great holiday. I was actually one of the ones who jumped in the pool (look at previous review), so what! We all had a lovely holiday, it was great fun and a laugh! If you want a quiet holiday with no young people, go to a spa retreat! Everyone was friendly and helpful and we would return for sure! Please dont let the bad reviews put you off!

Lies and awful behaviour. Came here for a week of hell. Constantly told of rule changes. Bar shuts at 1am but made to pay after 11 but no notices saying that. No hotel security and group of young ins jumping in pool after 1am. Told we could use other hotels by some staff but then no by other staff. Conflicting stories and lies and rowdy kids drinking the place dry stopping other guests ordering my 11pm after standing at the bar. Summer beach pool bar closes at 6:30pm which isn’t all inclusive. Told we could use sister hotel on-site Mare Gardens to then be stopped through holiday. Summer beach hotel pool was rotten and reported this twice and not once seen anyone clean the pool. First night in Summer Beach hotel and so far the staff have all been wonderful , so accommodating ! Musso and Alessandro the waiters were very attentive during dinner , nothing was too much trouble . And the chef even brought out a plate of beautiful feta cheese for one of our party when there was no or left on the buffet . So far so good 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This hotel was awesome. We were received with a warm welcome Tatiana at the front was welcoming and very helpful. I would give the whole experience a 10/10. Oh yeah! There was so much variety when breakfast was open! Yum Thank you for the stay !

If I come back to Georgioupolis it would only be for her. Definitely deserves recognition. I have to visit and everything was better than I planned. Our room was small but clean. Great customer service. Thank you so much Popi for your help I really appreciate.
