Gostops Kasar Devi

I booked a "Deluxe Private Room with Ensuite Bathroom" at gostops kasar devi at almora for a 3 day business trip in nov. I knew it was a hostel and not a hotel and therefore carefully chose the room that I did. Upon reaching the hotel around 10 pm, after a 12 hr long road journey, I was given a room on the rooftop, which was nowhere close to what was shown and promised on the gostops website. At the outset, the room was Stinking, as if its doors hadn't been opened for months together. When I asked for an alternative, I was told there was none. At 10 pm, in a place like almora, I didn't want to go hunting for another place. I accepted another room, much below the acceptable standard to sleep for the night. There were no amenities in that room and no service in the property. I reported the matter to the on-site staff. I wrote my grievance on their website immediately. I also raised it via WhatsApp using their chatbot. I called them 2 days later because getting to them on phone was almost impossible. I was advised to write an email, which i did instantly. I requested, that my money be refunded because the property failed to give me what was promised. They have the audacity to tell me that the booking was non refundable, not realising that I cancelled because of service deficiency and not because I wanted to cancel of my own will. Gostops doesn't seem to understand the difference between the two. I am going to take them to court. If you are planning to book a trip anywhere in the country and are thinking of gostops, think twice before you do. They are just interested in making a quick buck without any care for customer service.

The location of the place is too great and you will realise it only after staying there. The host Urmi is super good and very cooperative. She helped alot and took me to places which were very beautiful. And after having such a great experience I will surely come back soon there

GoStops kasar Devi is a wonderful property with heavenly view of valley. The staff is very polite and cooperative. Also, the property has a cute Lil dog named Pushpa to play around with. My stay was great met lot of new people. Played board games, UNO, jenga etc. Met a nice volunteer 'Urmi' at Gostops who organized different activities round the clock like bone fire, movie night and all. Overall it was memorable stay.

The hotel is situated 9kms from Almora city on the way to Binsar. Free pick and drop facility available. I travelled Solo so I stayed in dormitory. It was very clean with comfortable bed. On arrival they will give you wifi password and keys of the locker. They have common area to sit and watch OTT on projector with Boat Avante sound. What an amazing experience that was. Also have common area outside where you can do bonfire and chill They have clean kitchen with crockery so you need not to carry crockery with you. Also you can do hot water in kettle or use induction top there. If you need to have local food, Desi khana then they have tie up with local dhaba person (Shiva dhaba) he delivers hot desi thali on call. Overall it was nice 1 week stay. Staff is very cooperative. Sushant Ji and Arshad was superb. They become my friends now.

First Time at Gostops, I heard about this property on Instagram and I booked dormitory for me and my 3 friends online at 9 pm, it was too late but this experience was really awesome. Price is really good, service is good, location is awesome theme also awesome.. Everything was good except wifi service, Next day was Gostops Foundation Day, staff told us to click some pics ...Really Happy with Gostops

Stay was good, the location of the property was great, and the staff Harry and arshad Was nice and supportive, the vibe was different, gives the feeling of staying in home, overall experience was unique and great

I stayed here for 2 nights. They deserve an applause for the cleanliness they have maintained throughout the property. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. And the funny part is they have put up funny little quotes almost everywhere which will definitely give you a good laugh. The ambience is amazing and you can find ***y new friends there. The staff is super courteous and helpful. About the food they only have few ready to eat food items available in house but they will provide contact info of a nearby restaurant and they deliver good home made food. There were few problems i.e, they lacked in few very basic things milk wasn't available for tea or coffee when needed also as it was almost -3 degrees there we couldn't do a bonfire ( requested by other guests too) as the new ***ager didn't paid much attention to our request. That's why only 4 star. And much love to this cute lil dog over there she was the highlight of this tour. Hope to visit you guys again. Thank you

Poor service , 1)rooms were smelly , 2)no water suppy at all ,had booked for 3 nights but checked out after one night ,staff was too rude. Property ***ager was too arrogent ,He too had no answers for the all problems we faced.0
