The room we were given was one for people with a disability, which meant it was very spacious. The decor was nice, the beds comfortable, although a little soft. The bathroom was also spacious and had everything a disabled person would need. It didn't bother us we were staying in this room. We didn't have breakfast but had a coffee which was good. Because this room is on the ground floor just behind reception and next to the breakfast room we did experience noise. There is a 24-hour coffee and tea making facility in the breakfast room which is great. However, when we were staying, there were people in there even in the middle of the night, as we could hear the chairs being used (scraping sound which was very audible in our room). That got worse when breakfast service really started in the morning. It made sleeping a little challenging. We would stay here again, but would definitely ask for a room on a higher floor and further away from the breakfast room. Check in and out was quick and easy and staff were friendly.

Stay away from this hotel and run as far as possible away is my advice. They took my money after over 9weeks! I booked this hotel on the 25th of May for 23-26 of June which at the time was 1month away. I cancelled immediately after booking and it was free cancellation, I cancelled because I found another hotel closer the family I was visiting. All the booking were made of booking.com on the same day. Cancellation was in fact within 10min. Anyway on the 5th August, I saw €380 deducted from my account from Bastion Hotel that was already cancelled. €380 after almost 10weeks! That is fraud! Booking.com said they cannot do anything and that property process payment, property said it say non refundable on booking which was a lie, I asked how come they are taking money after 10week, the hotel did not answer any of my emails. It is either they have employed someone that specialises in fraudulent transaction or they are just thief. Just run away from this hotel. JUST SUDDENLY ON THE 5TH OF AUGUST WHICH IS 71 DAYS AFTER, I SAW €380 TAKEN OUT OF MY ACCOUNT FROM BASTION HOTEL, I CONTACTED MY BANK AND WAS TOLD THEY HAVE ACCESS BECAUSE I PUT MY BANK DETAILS FOR BOOKING BUT THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE TAKEN MONEY SINCE IT WAS CANCELLED. I CONTACTED BOOKING.COM AND WAS REDIRECTED TO THE HOTEL. THE HOTEL DID NOT RESPOND TO EMAIL NOR ANSWER MY CALLS AND BOOKING.COM SAID THEY REQUESTED A WAIVE BUT THE PROPERTY SAID NO. I ASKED WHY AFTER 71 DAYS BUT NO RESPONSE. PLS RUN 🏃‍♂️ AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL. ONCE THEY HAVE ACCESS TO UR ACCOUNT THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY WITHOUT NOTICE. PLEASE CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS TO SEE IF THEY ARE NOT TAKING UR MONEY. THEY WAITED 71 DAYS! RUN

La ubicación no está en el corazón de la atracción de Amsterdam, pero con la estación cercana, puedes ir a cualquier lugar en Amsterdam

El personal es muy amable. Llegamos a la noche del año antiguo a las 19.50 y queríamos comer, lo que en realidad podía llegar hasta las 20 horas. Después de una llamada por la recepción a la cocina, nos congratulamos. En el restaurante nos recibimos tan amablemente, a pesar de que ya habíamos terminado de trabajar. Fue un buen comienzo de nuestra estancia. ¡Estamos seguros de volver!!

Nosotros lo utilizamos para dedicar un par de días a visitar Amsterdam y otros 3 para el resto de Holanda. Para visitar Amsterdam es cómodo, ya que está al lado de una estación de tren y metro, y para visitar el resto de Holanda también, ya que si lo vas a hacer en tren tienes al lado la estación y si lo vas a hacer en coche no necesitas entrar al centro de Amsterdam y tienes muchos parkings alrededor (el hotel ofrece uno a 25 Eur la noche, pero salen mejor los parkings del Amsterdame Poorte, que están muy cerca y tienen una tarifa diaria máxima de 13,50 Eur). La zona es tranquila, las habitaciones están limpias y las camas son muy cómodas, y el desayuno es excepcional (hay que coger un ticket para seleccionar la hora a la que se quiere desayunar, por lo que conviene solicitarlo tan pronto como se pueda para poder elegir hira)
