Tasmania Village

This was are second visit to these lovely apartments, wonderful sea view from ours we stayed in Studio 10 very comfortable but air conditioning was a must as it was very hot. The hosts are fantastic and very helpful and welcoming we enjoyed our stay and will be back again for a 3rd visit

I would highly recommend Tasmania village. It is situated between Elounda and Plaka both within walking distance around 20-25 mins .We had the most beautiful view from our apartment over looking the sea and Spinalonga ,which is well worth a visit . The owner Anna is lovely, so helpful and friendly. .All in all a very memorable holiday

This is the best place I've ever stayed. Great family atmosphere, friendly owners who can't do enough for you. Helpful, friendly and always willing to help and advise on things to do. Anna and Manoli are an amazing couple and will welcome you into the Tasmania Village family. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Every room looks out onto the sea, Elounda, Plaka and Spinalonga. I can't wait to go back.

Wow... Second time in elounda in 2 years. We love it. We stayed in a different hotel last year and we loved it. The best holiday we'd ever had. Couldn't get in that same hotel this year, we were gutted but found Tasmania village as an alternative. When we got there we were met with the hill! We had seen it the year before and had read the reviews. It was steep, but when we got to the pool the next day and met Yannis, Maria and George we soon realised this was a close family run hotel. After a day or 2 we were in love, really does feel home from home. We were absolutely gutted to have to come home which is rare for our family, someone always moans about wanting to go home. Next year will be our 3rd time in elounda but I don't think we'd ever go to any other hotel. And it's definitely worth walking up the hill. We'd do it everyday if we could. Highly recommend this lovely family run hotel. We were made very welcome and it has everything on-site you would need for first a class holiday. We spent a few days at the pool and also a couple of trips. spinalonga island and train up into the mountains. My husband also fitted in a scuba dive. Many thanks for a special time. 🥂🥰xx

Fabulous place with stunning views. This family run apartment village is the nicest, warmest and friendliness place we've ever stayed at over all the years we've been holidayingvabroad. Rooms are basic but clean and spacious. The views are what keeps you going back year after year. Elounda is only a half an hour walk away and is an excellent resort with plenty of gorgeous tavernas and bars. This place is highly recommended and is excellent value for money.

Good low budget accommodation. I think that people who give an adverse review are very unfair. The views are fantastic. The rooms are basic but clean. My linen and towels were changed regularly. The pool area is super. Anna is very welcoming and will help you in any way she can. Drink and snack prices around the pool are reasonable. I suggest to those people posting adverse reviews that they stay next door at the Hilton in future and pay 3 or 4 times as much.

This is in no way against Anna and her Husband as they were wonderful and so helpful. We arrived after a late flight to get to the apartments after 2 a.m , this was our first stay and no idea where we were going, to find a nap taped to the bar area,giving our room number and having to stumble round to find it. The room was on the bottom level, and although it had a stunning view, this was spoilt by a thick electric cable, that was easily within grasping distance. The room itself was extremely basic and its obvious that repeat guests are given better accommodation. The balcony area,had to be washed down several times a day, due to it being covered in ants, the bathroom had no shower screen/curtain , but 2 small raised areas where you stood when showering, afterwards we had to mop the floor area down, with a mop and bucket that was left in the corner. There was no area to prepare food and what was the cooking area was 2 electric rings at the end of the draining board !, needless to say we didn't cook, during our stay Rhe beds only had one pillow each, so it was hard to get comfy. The pool area was nice and sunbeds plenty. Sadly , we didn't have the same glowing experience as other guests due to our apartment, they need some updating. We stayed here, as this was our third time in Elounda, which is stunning and thought we would try somewhere different, as on previous stays we had stayed elsewhere on both occasions. This was also our first holiday in 5 years, due to one thing and another, mainly the collapse of Thomas Cook and Covid, we were really looking forward to it after reading the glowing reviews , sadly our expectations were the opposite The room was nothing more than a base, we left in the morning, only returning to sleep. If you're happy with the most basic of basic and happy to stay somewhere that resembles Butlins in the 1960's, and looking at the apartments as a first time guest, then these are for you, as mentioned the better apartments are kept for returning guests, which left us,feeling disappointed, as it means we can only give a review based on our experience of the complex Like I said, this is no way aimed towards the owners, they really are lovely.

We booked on previous reviews and were a little disappointed. Nice location and wonderful views but that’s it. Self catering accommodation lacked the facilities to actually cater for your self. Cleaning was a bit cursory. Mattresses tired. Anna and the Team very helpful and always available. Pool side bar/café adequate but not much more. The whole place seems a bit needing in maintenance and upgrading. The price is good but don’t expect much for it.
