The hotel is great for a layover as it is super close to the airport. They have a shuttle which was a great help for me. I really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner as I missed SA food. Most of the staff was really helpful (especially Lily from the kitchen) she went above and beyond to help me cause I was with a baby. She made sure I was comfortable, had my food while she was holding my baby. I really appreciate that, thank you 🙏 . I also observed her around other customers she kept the same energy. My room was cleaned daily which was nice. My suggestion is some stuff member must give the same service to everyone regardless of who they are and how they look.

Mi experiencia no fue la mejor. Primero, reservé una habitación tamaño queen. Me registré, fui a la habitación y alguien más se estaba quedando exactamente en esa misma habitación. Obtuve una nueva tarjeta para una nueva habitación y esa tarjeta de acceso no funcionó. Regresé a la recepción y dijeron que había un problema y que el personal de mantenimiento estaba tratando de solucionarlo. Dijeron que no hay habitaciones disponibles. Sólo puedo conseguir dos camas individuales, así que le dije que pagué por una habitación tamaño queen. Necesitan hacer un plan... finalmente, después de un tiempo, volvieron a mí, me dieron una tarjeta de habitación, fueron a la habitación y, literalmente, simplemente juntaron las dos camas, sacaron la mesita de noche y tuvimos que dormir así. No había hervidor para hacer café y la habitación olía mal.

The hotel smelled so good right from the entrance. The staff were very professional, kind and helpful. The shuttle driver David was extremely kind. He walked me to Nelson Mandela square and showed me also how to get back to the pick up area. He addressed me as “madam”. The check in was easy peasey. The young lady at check in was so helpful and kind. The concierge was beyond helpful too. The young man I forgot his name was so welcoming. Showed me how the elevator works. The restaurant staff especially the guys in the kitchen who cooked my eggs were very understanding and kind. Everyone I met at the hotel left a lasting impression on me. We stayed for a week. It was a decent stay. It’s apartment style you can cook your own meals in your room and also there’s a restaurant you can eat and chill at

The hotel is conveniently located near the airport. To get to the hotel from the airport, go to the arrival hall, follow the sign to Bus Terminal and walk past the car rental offices to reach the bus terminal. The shuttle to the hotel comes every 15 minutes. My room is clean and quiet. Hot water is quite fast from the hot water tap. WiFi is easily accessible in the room and is stable. The breakfast (6-10am) is excellent with English breakfast items (egg, bacon, sausages, beans, toast), continental breakfast items (cold cuts, cheese, bread), salad, fruits, cereals, yoghurt, juices, etc. Overall I had a pleasant stay.

The Nicol hotel never disappoints! The reception staff is extremely friendly and helpful! The room is a reasonable size, well equipped and clean! The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. This hotel is situated close to the airport which makes it perfect for early flights or late arrivals! They also have a shuttle service that you can book to take you to the airport. The parking is ample, safe and secure with a guard throughout the evening. Will definitely make use of this hotel again!

The staff were very friendly and they were kind to attend to my needs to make sure that it was comfortable. The breakfast was great and they even prepared it in advance when i left at 5am since my flight was early in the morning. The environment is serene and quiet for a good rest.

Superó las expectativas. Estuve muy satisfecho con el precio y el servicio. Estaba limpio y sanitario. La actitud del servicio de recepción fue muy buena. La ubicación también era buena. Fue muy conveniente salir. La zona de los alrededores era muy concurrida, pero había snacks y pequeños supermercados al lado. Había un supermercado Carrefour enfrente. Valió la pena volver a alojarse allí.
