An excellent choice in Wellington. Plenty of restaurants down the street a block from hotel. Fruit and small grocery across the street from front door. 500 meters from Cuba street and lots of eclectic shops. Excellent value , room was large and nice. Love the staff there. IQ of staff was higher than mine.

Estaba una noche en el James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor para una conferencia en el sitio. El hotel dispone de tres bancos de ascensores distintos que sirven áreas diferentes si no conoce bien Wellington, sin duda pide al personal que explique la ruta más fácil de salida a la ciudad. El desayuno era un buffet muy grande con muchas opciones, aunque he experimentado una mejor calidad en otros lugares. El hotel es más antiguo, pero tiene huesos sólidos. Perfectamente adecuado para un trabajo durante la noche. Para viajes personales probablemente yo escogía un lugar con más atmósfera, sin embargo se sentía seguro y cómodo. Una característica extraña: algunas habitaciones tienen una terraza interior/ventana Recuerda cerrar sus cortinas ya que la gente puede ver directamente en ella. La habitación era limpia y bien construida, pero el techo muestra su edad. En general: alojamiento de conferencias fiable y práctico en lugar de una estancia de destino.

Seriously lacking in hospitality. Asked for a latte at 5:57am and was told “ we don’t  open until 6am” No newspapers available. Bellhop service virtually nonexistent. Room service was good. Front desk agent untrained and unsupervised. No greeting upon entering the hotel or restaurant. Great mixologist at the bar.  Kudos to Andreas the only friendly person we met not really sure what his position is there but he was great, helpful and kind to two old ladies with multiple bags.  No hand soap in the bathroom and towels were not changed.  $45.00 per day valet car service seems a bit much given that there really isn’t another option. We stayed in a “superior double double “ Not sure what superior meant. One of the beds was hard up against a wall. Less than a meter between end of beds and desk/tv stand. Entertainment system did not offer any pay as you go options just a bunch of sky. No Netflix type options. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone and most certainly will not be going back!

En el corazón de la ciudad central cerca de la acción si quieres salir por la noche. Nos hemos perdido el aire acondicionado porque está caliente en nuestra habitación. Teníamos una buena vista de la iglesia junto al hotel

Excellent hotel. I went here last week and was going to give it a lower rating, but having stayed in a hotel this week that was almost 3x the price with none of the amenities I have a new appreciation for it. My room at Ramada had a complete kitchen with stove, dishwasher, sink, fridge, kettle, cutlery etc. It had good A/C, and even a heater, though I didn't need to use it. Clothes iron and ironing board were very appreciated. Having a washing machine and dryer takes it over the top -- this room really has everything I would ever need during a hotel stay. The staff at the front counter were very friendly and helpful, and the room was warm with excellent soundproofing. The location is great, just a short walk to the CBD. The one downside of room was that a duvet from the closet was dirty, with a yellow stain. Which is gross, but overall I would absolutely stay here again.

Mi hija y yo pasamos cinco días y cuatro noches en Wellington, y el hotel cumplió con todas mis expectativas. Primero, está ubicado en el centro de la ciudad, lo que facilita el transporte, justo enfrente del Old Band. La parada de autobús está abajo, lo que facilita llegar al aeropuerto y a la estación de tren, y todas las atracciones están a poca distancia a pie. Segundo, era limpio, espacioso y tranquilo. Al alojarme en el piso 21, el aire y la luz del sol eran muy agradables, y dormí de maravilla. Tercero, estaba equipado con refrigerador, microondas, cafetera, hervidor de agua y vajilla básica, así que pudimos cocinar comidas sencillas. En resumen, lo recomiendo encarecidamente.

We had 1 night stay. Good facilities, like pool, Spa, Restaurant, however a few things need to improve to reach 4 star, like stated. Our room was clean and tidy but some lights up in the ceiling were out, basin in the bathroom was very cracked. We had dinner at the restaurant. I ordered pizza, where the dough was slightly undercooked, no crisp, sloppy. Filter coffee at breakfast, that was included had a colour of weak tea. But you were offered to pay extra for a coffee on top of $30, you already paid for a buffet breakfast. Previously stayed here before, but I think it needs a lot of improvements as it's gone down quite a bit.

The hotel was very close to the city centre, namely shopping shops, cable car, Te Papa National Museum, Waterfront Walk, etc! The staff were wonderful. The room was excellent. Thanks!

Overall is great, but still feel the whole hotel a little old, and one point: we asked the receptionist for shaver and toothbrush, he said all in the room, but actually there’s nothing. We need to phone service team for several times ( we only asked one thing first cause we believed there are everything except that one, then we found others were not there……), really inconvenient. The food is great, and the guy there is very friendly!
