Had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, offering good value for money. The hotel is convenient located near the airport and connected to a shopping mall, making it easy to access food and essential. Breakfast was enjoyable with good variety of options, and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. However, there was a blackout during my stay that lasted more than 30 minutes, and it appeared that there was no backup generator available. Fortunately, it occurred in the early morning when there was some natural light. It would have been more challenging if it had happened at night. This is an area the hotel need to look into. Overall, still a comfortable stay, but improvements in this aspect would enhance the experience further.

Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Carpenter street, the waterfront, where nightly light shows (approx 15mins) are held and various historical buildings and sites are right at the doorstep of the hotel or within walking distance. There is also an excellent mall (Plaza Merdeka) is connected to the hotel which is a plus. Great service from all staff, thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable

We had a pleasant stay. The room was spacious. The food was great, and maybe for breakfast selection can add some ”kuih-muih” too. The view from the swimming pool is also nice, just that the edge of the pool, where the waters are draining down, need to be clean, seems like it's not being clean for ages...it was green .. Overall, it is a good place to stay, and just next to the shopping mall.

Had a pleasant stay here. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained, offering good value for money. The location is convenient, with plenty of food options and shops nearby. The hotel serves a simple yet delicious breakfast. I especially enjoyed the Chinese style dishes. The dining area was also comfortable and relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful, and check in was smooth. One minor issue was the room air conditioning was extremely cold and difficult to adjust, so we had to turn it off during our stay. Overall, still a good choice for a comfortable and affordable stay in Miri. Would consider staying here again.

Despite being a 50-year old hotel, it's surprisingly well maintained. Toilets are clean and well designed with top quality materials. Rooms are well arranged, good quality mattress and pillows, huge smart TV, and overlooking the river. The hotel is very near the main attraction of Kuching : Kuching Waterfront, a 5mins walking distance. Tons of old style shops and cafes across the road, good FnB selection. Staff are pleasant and professional.

La habitación era insensible, bien mantenida y muy cómoda. Había todo lo que necesitaba para una estancia relajada. habitación con vista al río. la ubicación es increíble. A poca distancia del paseo marítimo de Kuching. La habitación es modesta y bastante sencilla: decoraciones y muebles sencillos y simplemente aburridos. Decir que el lugar es un hotel de cinco estrellas es una exageración. decepcionado con el aire acondicionado, incapaz de enfriar la habitación al nivel deseable. Las comodidades proporcionadas no son adecuadas para una habitación familiar.

Localizado en el centro de la ciudad, pero lamentablemente nada alrededor nos parece atractivo. El hotel es viejo y requiere un cierto mantenimiento. La piscina es pequeña y llena. Los gimnasios están envejeciendo con ruidos amargos y necesitan lubricantes urgentes. The room is spacious and nice, the only thing is that it’s a bit old, location is good.  Housekeeping always comes early in the morning and will leave a note under your room if you put do not disturb.  Always need to ask housekeeping to come and clean the room if the paper is there, there was one day that we just put housekeeping green lights on and ignored the paper, the room was not clean when we went back at night.

This hotel is by far one of the best, given that its price is kept at resonable range and all the basic stuffs are all available. Very comfortable stay at Goldenbay, but if soundproof can be improved then it will be perfect.
