First of all the hotel rented out the rooms for individual operator. So there will be different check in counter. Upon check in, been told that the room card not functioning as they are doing upgrading, so every time u come back will need to call the house keeping to unlock the door. Most importantly they charge RM 17 per night for car parking. So a lot of car parking outside which make the entrance a bit difficult

Reservamos una habitación triple y fue perfecta. Cuenta con todas las comodidades, como sobres de café 3 en 1, hervidor de agua, secador de pelo, cepillo de dientes desechable y nevera. Por la noche dormimos bien a pesar del ruido sordo del karaoke cercano. El aparcamiento es gratuito en las plantas 1 y 2. Sin embargo, al salir del sótano, no había guardia de seguridad durante la hora del almuerzo para ayudarnos a escanear el código de barras. El escáner detecta con dificultad los códigos de barras en papel. Tuvimos que escanearlos a ciegas durante un minuto. Le quito una estrella al aparcamiento. Si el recepcionista nos pudiera enseñar a escanear, tendríamos que escanear dos códigos de barras en papel. En general, tiene una buena relación calidad-precio.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Disfruté mucho mi estancia en el SHO Hotel Penang. El hotel es limpio, moderno y está bien mantenido, con habitaciones amplias y cómodas tanto para estancias cortas como largas. Al ser un hotel recién inaugurado, las instalaciones están impecables y en excelentes condiciones, con todo lo necesario para una estancia confortable. El único inconveniente es la ubicación, que está bastante lejos de Georgetown, por lo que llegar a las principales atracciones y al centro de la ciudad puede llevar algo de tiempo. Aparte de eso, fue una estancia muy agradable y sin duda un hotel que vale la pena considerar si priorizas la limpieza, el espacio y las instalaciones modernas.

Nosotros hemos reservado una habitacion para tres, 2 adultos y 1 niño de 14, al llegar a la habitacion tenia una cama king size y un sofa pequeño, el hotel nos ayudo cobrandonos un adicional por la cama del niño por solo una noche en ves de las dos que teniamos reservadas, si viajas con niños mayores y que duerman solos realizar la reserva para tres adultos asi asegurais la cama sin pagar adicionales. We booked a room for three, 2 adults and 1 child of 14. When we arrived, the room had a king-size bed and a small sofa. The hotel helped us by charging us an additional fee for the child's bed for just one night instead of the two we had reserved. If you are traveling with older children who sleep alone, make a reservation for three adults to ensure a bed without paying additional fees.

The place it self was great, the cleanliness was very good and the service was excellent. The only downside we had was the neighbours upstairs kept making loud noises through out our stay, however credit to the agents they replied back to us promptly when we brought this up and had notified their landlord. Unfortunately this didn’t still resolve the loud noises. The building it self is nice, the pool is clean and well maintained, however the building does have a lot of regulations in place which we thought was quite excessive. Other than these minor issues we had a great time and the apartment is well kept.

The staff were friendly, polite, and generally helpful throughout our stay. The location is also a strong point, with plenty of restaurants and shopping malls nearby, and the Clan Jetties are within walking distance. Unfortunately, the check-in experience left much to be desired. Before arriving, I had emailed the hotel to enquire about an early check-in as we were travelling with elderly family members. I fully understood that this might not be possible due to the peak holiday season, which was perfectly reasonable. Upon arriving around 11am, we were advised to return after 1pm. We came back shortly after 2pm but were informed that our rooms were still not ready. We were prepared to wait until the official check-in time of 3pm, but even then, the rooms were unavailable. We were repeatedly told ”10 more minutes”, only for those 10 minutes to become 30 minutes and then even longer. In the end, we did not receive our rooms until approximately 3:40pm. What made the situation particularly frustrating was seeing guests who arrived after us being checked in ahead of us. The explanation given was that a supervisor needed to inspect the rooms before they could be released. While delays can happen, clearer communication and realistic timelines would have been far more appreciated than being repeatedly asked to wait another 10 minutes. To make matters worse, one of our rooms had pillows and blankets with an unpleasant odour, which raised questions about the room readiness that had caused such a lengthy delay. For guests driving, parking may be challenging as there are only a limited number of parallel parking spaces available. Even for those arriving by taxi or private hire, the drop-off and pick-up process can be somewhat inconvenient. There is also a Heritage Fee payable upon check-in, which was acceptable and clearly communicated. Complimentary coffee and biscuits are available, and water dispensers are conveniently located near the lifts, although bottled water is not provided in the rooms. The check-out process was also slightly unusual, as guests are required to wait for staff confirmation before leaving. Overall, the stay was comfortable and the location was convenient. However, I value hotels that provide a smooth and efficient check-in experience. Delays are understandable, especially during busy periods, but guests deserve honest communication and accurate updates rather than repeated promises of ”10 more minutes.” With better management of the arrival experience, this would have been a much more enjoyable stay.

Este es un hotel nuevo y limpio, convenientemente ubicado entre Batu Ferringhi y George Town. Llegué temprano, sobre las 11:30, pero amablemente nos permitieron registrarnos, lo cual agradecimos mucho. En Grab, se tarda unos 15 minutos en llegar a la playa de Batu Ferringhi y unos 20 minutos a George Town, aunque el tráfico puede ser bastante denso durante el día, por lo que el tiempo de viaje puede ser mayor. El sistema de inteligencia artificial no siempre respondió con fluidez, pero aun así pude usarlo para solicitar que me enviaran artículos a mi habitación. Me alojé en Nochevieja y el hotel organizó una fiesta de cuenta regresiva junto a la piscina. No hubo fuegos artificiales, pero el ambiente fue agradable. Tanto la piscina como la zona de la playa son muy bonitas, y el desayuno ofrece una buena variedad de comida. En general, es un buen hotel para alojarse. Sería aún mejor si ofrecieran un servicio de autobús de ida y vuelta a George Town y la playa de Batu Ferringhi.

El hotel es nuevo y actualmente se encuentra en su fase de prueba. La ropa de cama es de buena calidad, las habitaciones son amplias, las instalaciones son nuevas y las duchas son cómodas. El único inconveniente es que el desayuno empieza a las 7 de la mañana. Como tenía que coger un vuelo temprano, me lo perdí y pedí un desayuno para llevar, pero varios empleados pusieron excusas para retrasarlo, lo que resultó en una experiencia de servicio muy deficiente. La habitación no tenía agua embotellada; tuve que cogerla del pasillo. También me daba reparo usar las tazas y demás utensilios, ya que temía que no estuvieran limpios o fueran inseguros.

Recently returned from a 4D3N stay in Penang. Check-in was quick and efficient, with a RM200 deposit required upon arrival. The lobby is relatively small and always bustling with guests coming and going. There is a convenience store located on the ground floor, and a popular Japanese restaurant just outside where people are constantly queuing, giving the hotel a lively atmosphere. The hotel offers valet service. However, the personnel stationed at the main entrance were unable to assist with even basic questions regarding directions and nearby places, which was disappointing. Reception was consistently busy throughout our stay. While service was efficient, the team appeared overwhelmed at times, resulting in little interaction or welcoming hospitality. Rooms are located up to Level 35, while the gym and pool are on Level 36. The gym is surprisingly well-equipped and was one of the highlights of the stay. With the large number of rooms in the building and only four elevators in operation, waiting times can be quite long, especially during peak periods such as check-in, check-out, and evenings. Security was one area that concerned me. Access to guest floors requires a room key card, but I noticed there were no CCTV cameras inside the elevators, along the guest room corridors, or in the stairwells. Personally, this affected my sense of security. The room itself was spacious and offered a beautiful sea view, which I thoroughly enjoyed. There was also a filtered water dispenser in the room, a feature I appreciated. Basic amenities were provided. On the downside, the water pressure in the bathroom remained weak throughout my stay, and there was a constant sewage smell coming from the bathroom. The room also did not have a telephone or safe deposit box. To contact reception, guests need to communicate via WhatsApp. There is also no room service available, though this did not affect me personally. Check-out was effortless. I simply returned the room keys and left for my morning flight without any room inspection delays. Would I visit Penang again? Absolutely. Would I stay at this hotel again? Probably not. While the room size, view, and facilities were good, the security concerns and bathroom issues would likely lead me to explore other accommodation options on my next visit.
