My stay in Fez was truly memorable, thanks to the warmth and professionalism of Hager, the manager. We arrived later than planned, reaching the property at 11 p.m. instead of the expected 9 p.m., yet Hager welcomed us with kindness and patience, making us feel completely at ease despite the late hour. That first impression set the tone for the entire stay. Hager was also incredibly accommodating with breakfast. She kindly arranged breakfast earlier than the usual start time, and it was a delicious traditional Moroccan breakfast — fresh, generous, and beautifully prepared. It was one of the highlights of the stay and a perfect way to start the day. At the time of leaving Fez, I had arranged my transport independently, but the situation did not go as planned and became stressful. When Hager became aware of this, she went out of her way to help, reassured me, and kindly allowed me to stay at the property during the unexpected delay. The property is perfectly located in the heart of the medina, offering an authentic Fez experience while remaining peaceful and comfortable. The room was clean, well-maintained, and felt welcoming after long days of exploring. What truly stood out was the genuine care and hospitality throughout the stay. Hager’s calm, thoughtful, and supportive approach made a real difference and reflects the high standards of this place. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Fez — not just for the location and comfort, but for the exceptional hospitality you’ll experience here.

The experience we had at another Riad set very, very high expectations, so read this with that in mind :) I've worked and stayed in luxury hotels around the world, and if you're looking for a stunning hotel, with pleasant service this would be a top choice. However overall we were looking for more of an intimate experience. Staff were very nice; they were young, friendly, kind and caring. Travelling with my mother however, it felt very uncomfortable when I was asked 'how my wife was doing?!', this summed up the disconnection between the hotel and the experience. A beautiful hotel but short of a 4/5 star experience. It is one of the most stunning Riads you will stay at. The restaurant serves great food, and the views are amazing - if you can handle the three floors of steep steps. Overall, you won't be disappointed but it felt like when we stayed there was no manager for those extra touches you expect when paying this much.

It’s not a bad hotel, but its rooms are a bit old. I paid 1400D to ask for a normal double room and asked it to be “quite” but it’s not. The room locates right next to a main street so during the whole night you can hear endless cars, motors and police car alarms. The window fully closed yet blocked no noise. AC needs to be replaced to new one as it howling every few minutes like a diesel engine. The room is big and clean though. I had to wait for 25 minutes to check in. I don’t blame the staff as they were just too busy. They only have 3 people at the reception and they need to deal with frequent customer requirements, individual customers and tour groups at the same time! If this were just an ordinary 2–3 star hotel, I wouldn’t have much to complain about. However, for a resort charging 1,400 dirhams per night, this level of management and infrastructure really needs to be updated and improved.

No more support We were unable to reach the hotel because our Qatar Airways flight through the Middle East was cancelled due to the war. We had booked three double rooms. I contacted Trip.com for assistance, and also reached out to the hotel directly via messages and email to explain the situation. Unfortunately, we did not receive any support or response at all. In contrast, many other hotels in Morocco were understanding and offered free cancellations or flexible rescheduling. This hotel, however, was extremely rigid and showed no consideration for our circumstances. I was initially very impressed by the hotel’s décor based on previous reviews, but given this experience, it’s something we will seriously reconsider if we ever return to Morocco in the future.

Our 2 day stay was nothing short of enchanting. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, adorned with traditional Moroccan decor with modern amenities, provided a luxurious retreat after a day of exploration. The staff always attentive with insightful recommendations, made all the difference to our stay. Riad Algila truly embodies the essence of Moroccan hospitality offering a respite of calm and beauty amidst the vibrant tapestry of Fes.

La casa del siglo XIV, el edificio en sí es muy hermoso y sorprendente. El desayuno está en la parte superior del edificio, el paisaje es genial y puedes ver una gran área de la medina. Las instalaciones de las habitaciones también son buenas, básicamente tienen todo lo que deberían. Pero la casa vieja también tiene problemas. La insonorización es demasiado pobre. Hay una habitación en el segundo piso que se puede escuchar arriba y abajo por el ascensor, y el ruido en el pasillo será fuerte. Ya era de noche el día de llegada, y cuando entré a la casa, me precipité al olor a agua desinfectante. El mayor problema es que hay 4 saltos de potencia en 2 noches. Este tipo de cosas que suceden en una casa así es realmente aterrador. Cuando el personal dijo que esto nunca había sucedido antes, hizo que la gente se sintiera aún más aterradora. El tráfico es bastante conveniente, puede estacionarse cerca y no tiene que arrastrar su equipaje por mucho tiempo. Pero esta ubicación está bastante lejos del área de actividad habitual de la ciudad vieja, y los atajos en la ciudad vieja no se atreven a ir por la noche. Queríamos tomar un taxi al costado de la carretera a eso de las cuatro o las cinco. Fue difícil tomar un taxi. Parecía que los taxis estaban llenos de gente. Saliendo por la mañana, tuve que tomar un taxi hasta la estación CTM. Dado que es difícil llamar a un pequeño taxi en este lugar durante el día, le pedí a la recepción que me ayudara a reservar un automóvil privado. Tarda unos diez minutos y 100 horas. Si sabe que lo han matado, solo puede utilizar este método. La chica de la recepción es muy dedicada y se siente como si estuviera sentada allí día y noche. Si tiene alguna pregunta, pregúntele, pero la gente siente que presionar la cena y el spa es demasiado, pero no digo nada si me niego. Desperté la mañana antes de irnos y nos ayudó a empacar el desayuno.

Instalaciones: el momento es muy grande, el baño es muy dulce, en general, es relativamente antiguo, absolutamente incapaz de decir paciencia, el único defecto es que la red es realmente muy mala, básicamente igual a la falta de red...La puntualidad es que la red es muy mala. Higiene: ¡muy limpia  Ambiente: es un poco difícil encontrar la carretera en un gran paquete. Hay marroquíes en el camino para ayudar. ¡Y aún necesitan los pequeños peces, pero el dueño de la tienda los cerró fuera de la puerta, no les damos los pequeños peces! El entorno es muy claro, el jardín de la piscina también es muy bonito, muy bien fotografado! Servicio: El servicio es muy bueno, te dará un plato verde cuando te quedes, y te preguntará qué quieres al desayuno, todo el sabor marroquí puede comer!

Si vuelvo a Fes, me quedaré aquí de nuevo. A diferencia de su encanto histórico y tradicional, las habitaciones fueron increíblemente limpias y hermosas. Despertar hasta nada más que el sonido de las aves que se movían por la mañana fue un sueño. El hotel está situado en el centro de Fes, donde se encuentran los albergues de la ciudad. No obstante, tuve un poco de problemas para encontrarlo en primer lugar y desafortunadamente se engañó por un falso guía.Por favor, tenga cuidado! También, recuerde que las escaleras son bastante estrechos. Aparte de esos puntos, mi estancia fue absolutamente perfecta.

Невероятный риад! Прекрасное, удобное расположение, даже если захочешь, не сможешь потеряться по пути к риаду. Уборку производили каждый день, давали очень хорошего качества косметику для душа и тела. В номере был кондиционер, поэтому холодные ночи мы провели в тепле. Удивительно красивые окна, ставни; вид на внутренний двор очень красивый. Завтрак очень большой, сытный и вкусный. Персонал очень-очень приветливый, заботливый! На все 1000% рекомендую этот риад! Спасибо Вам огромное, мы обязательно вернемся еще 🫶🏻
