Title: Alderley Edge Hotel: Victorian Elegance Meets Modern Comfort in Cheshire
Review:
Nestled in the heart of Cheshire, Alderley Edge Hotel offers a charming blend of Victorian heritage and contemporary luxury. Originally a grand 19th-century villa, the hotel has been thoughtfully transformed into a stylish 50-room retreat, maintaining its historic character while providing modern amenities.
Location & Ambience:
Situated just off Alderley Edge’s bustling high street, the hotel is perfectly positioned for guests to explore the village’s trendy boutiques, restaurants, and bars. The nearby sandstone ridge, known as “The Edge,” offers scenic woodland walks and panoramic views, adding to the area’s allure.
Accommodation:
Guests have praised the hotel for its cleanliness and comfort. Rooms are well-appointed, featuring modern furnishings and amenities such as Temple Spa toiletries, free Wi-Fi, and tea and coffee facilities. While some guests have noted that certain rooms can be on the smaller side, the overall comfort and ambiance receive high marks.
Dining Experience:
The hotel’s restaurant, set within a rebuilt conservatory, offers a bright and airy dining space. Guests have highlighted the quality of the food, particularly the grilled fish dishes and Sunday roasts. The bar and outdoor garden seating provide additional spaces to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Service & Facilities:
The staff at Alderley Edge Hotel are frequently commended for their friendliness and professionalism, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Facilities include free parking with electric charging stations, pet-friendly accommodations (with an additional charge), and well-maintained gardens. However, it’s worth noting that the hotel does not have leisure facilities or a gym.
Guest Feedback:
Overall, guests have expressed satisfaction with their stays, citing the hotel’s cleanliness, location, and service as standout features. Some have mentioned minor issues such as thin walls leading to noise disturbances and occasional maintenance concerns in the bathrooms. Despite these, the consensus remains positive, with many guests indicating a desire to return.
Conclusion:
Alderley Edge Hotel successfully marries historical charm with modern comforts, making it a delightful choice for travelers seeking a serene yet convenient base in Cheshire. Whether you’re exploring the local countryside or indulging in the village’s vibrant scene, this hotel offers a memorable and comfortable stay.

Usuario invitadoMy husband had a broken bone in his leg we where booked a room on the first floor. When he saw us he arranged for our room swap, offered us tea and coffee whilst we waited for this to be arranged. All staff were very professional and courteous offering to take our bags to the room. We will plan another trip as we were unable to use the facilities.

Usuario invitadoAbsolutely stunning accommodation which oozed in class. The room was brilliant and very spacious with fantastic air con for those summer nights which wasn't too noisy either.
The hotel is located perfectly next to the train station for easy access and the staff were pleasant and accommodating, even resulting in a free drink on the house for simply booking there. Bed was super comfortable and spacious and the shower facility was perfect too. Thoroughly recommend.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, and our choice was primarily due to its convenient location and excellent breakfast. It is very close to the airport and very quiet at night, surrounded by farms and grassland.
We love the breakfast because it is not a typical buffet. Instead, you can choose from a menu with a great variety of options, all of which taste wonderful. The restaurant's decoration is also lovely, and you will be more than satisfied with the portions. The restaurant staff are passionate, friendly, and helpful.
One point to note is that the reception area often has guests around, which is just an observation and neither positive nor negative. The receptionists always do their best and are very nice and professional. However, the room design is a bit outdated.

Checking in at the main Oddfellows hotel was smooth but it would have helped to have the exact address of the apartment in advance, so we could park more easily. There is one parking space at the apartment but it is a tight entrance!
Apartment 5 was upstairs and very spacious. The lounge/kitchen/diner was well set up and the tea and coffee available was very welcome. Bedrooms and bathrooms were large, comfy and clean (but could do with a few hooks for towels or coats). There is even a laundry room. Decof is quirky and the location is great - just off the main streets. Fabulous place to stay.

Usuario invitadoOn the first night I was out in a small room which was stuffy and unventilated, however after complaining I was put in a much nicer room for the rest of my stay. The second room had a good view and a/c.
Location is superb for Chester Centre.

First time taking grandson to Chester with an over night stay. First impression of Hotel including location was excellent and I have only one negative from our stay which was reported to reception on checking out. There is a big problem in the hotel with bedroom doors slamming shut noisily every time someone enters or leaves a room as they have no dampening which spoilt our evening and night in our room. The rest of the hotel was excellent with a good swimming pool and restaurant. The breakfast can only be described as superb with our grandson thoroughly enjoying it. The location including the car parking was ideal for walking round Chester City Centre with a 100 yd walk to the main streets and the Levels.
Overall, I would recommend the hotel for a City Break and would easily qualify for 5 stars if they could put some dampening device / closing spring on the bedroom doors.

Subbu ValliappanComfy bed and great shower - all that we need after a full day of getting drenched in The Great British Rain. Breakfast was superb and filled us up for the day. We only stayed one night but we really liked it.
