When I was about to check out, the receptionist told me that I hadn’t paid the city tax, even though I had already paid it in coins when I checked in. I was surprised at first, but it turned out that the receptionist who checked me in had forgotten to record the payment in their system. Fortunately, everything was sorted out. All good! The staff were very kind and gave me a lower bed because I can’t climb to the upper bed.

Clean room and friendly staff in a great location, however the bathroom smells of sewage and there’s no fan. There’s also no airconditioning so the room can get quite hot. If you want to leave the windows open, there’s lots of pubs below that are open until late so it might get too noisy. The pillows are condensed and way too hard and high. There’s a fridge and enough space in the room. Good but not worthy of the price, would not pay more than €80 (we paid €100).

El hotel no está cerca de la estación de tren, sino a una distancia de caminar de la antigua ciudad. Intentamos caminar por la mañana para tomar fotos y disfrutar del escenario, y no es tan lejos (pero puede ser el caso cuando tienes que coger tu gran equipaje). No hay champán gratis dado, a diferencia de las otras ramas, pero el receptor fue amable y ofreció entradas como reemplazo, que podríamos reclamar té, café o cerveza. Es bueno quedarse aquí incluso cuando no está tan cerca de la estación de tren como la Eindhoven.

Very good located hotel. Good for a short weekend trip or a city trip to Groningen. They have a parking area underneath the hotel which costs extra but generally much less than parking on the streets. The rooms are spacious and have everything thing you need. Would be nice to have a fridge though but all in all everything you need for a city hotel. The service is very friendly they have good recommendations for the city and also plan activities or restaurant reservations if you would like to. All in all 100% recommend for staying in Groningen!

The hotel is right in the centre of Veendam, and whilst it's not luxurious, it's clean and comfortable. The bar is excellent, their own beers are also very good, and there's a wide range of others available should you prefer. The food in the restaurant was also pretty good, being tasty and generous. We'll certainly be back!

Very kind people took over this place a few months back. It was the best hotel we could find in the area for travellers without a car, and it was a good choice! Honestly service and kind approach to a customer can make up for any stars. Breakfast was tasty and fresh. Coffee and tea available all day.

El hotel es muy limpio y tiene una ubicación excelente en el centro de la ciudad. La habitación es amplia y aunque hay tres camas en la habitación hay espacio para mover y colocar maletas. La habitación está tranquila con ac. El desayuno es de 18 euros por persona, por lo que decidimos pasear a Starbucks en vez de eso.

Este hotel es realmente bonito y superó mis expectativas. El ambiente del hotel es muy limpio, tanto las habitaciones como las áreas públicas están impecablemente limpias, lo que brinda a la gente una sensación de comodidad. Las instalaciones también son muy completas. No solo la decoración es lujosa, sino que todo el equipamiento es nuevo y muy sencillo de usar. En general, esta estancia fue una experiencia muy agradable y se la recomiendo a todo el mundo.

Great location to explore the city, conveniently located near big supermarket (Jumbo). Easy connectivity, bus line in front of hotel. Quick 15 min walk to the central station. Staff was helpful with storage of luggage etc.
