El hotel en sí no es tan nuevo, pero está bien mantenido y las habitaciones están limpias. Las comodidades están ubicadas frente al ascensor y son solo lo mínimo indispensable. Hay un aparcamiento que funciona con monedas frente al hotel, donde se puede aparcar durante 24 horas por 1.300 yenes.

Great Stay, Perfect Location! A fantastic hotel with a super convenient location right on the tram line. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For the price, it's an exceptional value and the perfect base for sightseeing in Kumamoto. Highly recommended!

This is the first time in my life that I’ve received such terrible service from Japanese staff.!!! I’ve been to Japan many times and everyone has always been so nice , until I came here. I chose this hotel because it offers parking. When we arrived, we parked in front of the hotel and saw a sign next to the building that said “Grids Parking Car.” So we went inside to inform the reception that we wanted to park there. That girl staff responded in a rude and annoyed tone, without a single smile, and showed us information telling us to park somewhere else. We were really confused because she kept insisting—multiple times—that we should go park somewhere else. My partner had to keep driving in circles waiting, and we became frustrated. So I asked, “Isn’t the parking next to the hotel part of this hotel?” She snapped back, “Yes, but it costs 2,000 yen. Other places are cheaper,” in a tone that clearly implied Why would you park here? It’s expensive. We told her we still wanted to park there, but the whole attitude felt like they didn’t want hotel guests to use the hotel’s own parking at all. Is this really how they train their staff? The service was unbelievably poor. Would it hurt to just explain things politely from the beginning?

Fue muy cómodo. Nunca imaginé reservar un hotel de cinco estrellas cerca de la estación de Kumamoto por poco más de 3000. El ambiente era limpio y bonito, y el servicio excelente. Aunque la habitación no era grande, me sentí seguro, lo cual me encantó. También había una bañera grande y cómoda, perfecta para quitarme el cansancio del día. Realmente mejoró mi experiencia en Kumamoto, una ciudad tranquila. Además, al estar justo enfrente de la estación, el transporte es muy práctico. También hay un centro comercial y unos grandes almacenes abajo.

Strategic location right at the Shinshigai Shopping Street where you can literally get anything you need from food to shopping. It is also near the Kumamoto Castle within 10-20mins walking distance. This hotel chain has lived up to its expectations, clean, fully equipped with amenities and spacious room. We've been staying at this hotel chain in Osaka, Hiroshima and now Kumamoto. Highly recommended hotel for those who are visiting Kumamoto!

Good if you like old school charm hotel, room and service. Castle view room was a disappointment - have to stand at the side of the window to actually see the castle :( Location was great and parking was onsite. There’s a driveway at the front of the hotel and from there, the staff guided us to their onsite parking. It’s as advertised JPY1000 per day but on day of checkout, parking is until 11.30am. After that, cheaper to park elsewhere (JPY100 for 15mins vs JPY200 for 2hrs at Kumamoto Castle).

Lobby free drink until 12 a.m and 24 hours self bar on 4 th floor for free as well. Kind reception and nice and huge room on 11th floor. Everything was perfect that I enjoyed. Never expected Kumamoto trip, but was soool nice and could have great memory because of you. One station hotel, all the best~!!

We travelled as a family and booked three rooms in this hotel. We were at two different floors so a bit less convenient. Breakfast for two days were normal. Parking is very limited as you can expect from a busy city. Room is clean and free coffee at lobby.

La ubicación del hotel es muy conveniente. Es un edificio que combina transporte y compras. El diseño es muy novedoso. El servicio de limpieza del hotel es muy serio y cuidadoso. Nos alojamos tres noches y lo limpiaban todos los días, incluso las zapatillas se cambiaban todos los días. El desayuno es muy recomendable. Puedes ver el hermoso castillo de Kumamoto y las vistas a las montañas desde el restaurante paisajístico del piso 14.

We had a great stay at Kamenoi Hotel Aso Park. We booked a room in the South Building, which was spacious,clean, and had a large, comfortable bed. The hotel provides yukata robes in various colors, which was a lovely touch for guests to enjoy the onsen experience. ♨️ The onsen was large and relaxing — perfect after a day of exploring Aso. 🚗 Parking was very convenient, located right next to the hotel. Just across the parking area, there’s a 24-hour convenience store called Obentou Hirai offering ready-made bentos, hot meals, ramen, and udon — extremely convenient for late-night snacks or quick meals. 🍱 We chose a room-only package without meals, and in the morning, we visited the local souvenir and food center at Aso Station. It had a great selection of local foods and breakfast options, plus plenty of gifts and souvenirs to bring home. Overall, a comfortable stay with everything we needed nearby. Highly recommended if you’re exploring the Aso area!
