Entorno: En la planta baja se encuentra la bulliciosa calle comercial de Áqaba, lo que la hace muy práctica para comer y beber. Instalaciones: Un poco anticuadas, pero el aparcamiento es gratuito, lo que resulta muy práctico para quienes conducen. El agua mineral de cortesía, que nos entregaron cuatro botellas diarias durante nuestra estancia de dos días, es bastante generosa para un hotel jordano. Servicio: ¡Tanto el personal de recepción como el guardia de seguridad fueron increíblemente amables y atentos! Mientras tomábamos un café en la cafetería al aire libre de la primera planta (con vistas a la calle), si un turista se nos acercaba, el guardia de seguridad intervenía cortésmente y nos ayudaba a evitar cualquier acoso o insinuación innecesaria, asegurándose de que el hombre al que nos dirigimos se marchara antes de irse. ¡Su servicio fue realmente excepcional!

We had a very bad experience during check in. Despite explaining that we were very tired & hungry (as it's already almost 8 in the evening), and we just need to check in immediately & have dinner; the staff at the reception denied our confirmed & paid reservation at trip.com. The staff knew that we were very tired, and we even offered to guarantee reservation with our credit card (just so we get the room & can have dinner); but he insisted to keep us waiting until he can get the response from trip.com. After waiting for so long, he said that still no responses from trip.com and he just asked us to wait forever. I got really upset after a long argument with him; and i have to strongly argue with him to give us room & we paid with our credit card for a new reservation. WE NEED A ROOM! I showed him the amount I paid for the Seaview Room charged in USD. (I just realised the next day that he charged me the wrong amount instead of calculating it to USD amount with the correct convertion). So i was charged a wrong amount as I was too tired to check how much he charged me. After a long argument & waiting, he finally gave me the room key; and said sorry for the waiting. They said that they will upgrade the room as an apologies. Just when we were in the room, I found out that they DID NOT upgrade the room. That's exactly the room I booked at trip.com; just I had to pay again with my credit card with a much higher rate! I was to tired to argue with the staff, so I no longer care after calling them saying they didn't upgrade us! This staff didn't even try to change the room; after we said this is not an upgrade. We PAID for this room category at trip.com. Nobody apologies for these so many mistakes from the staffs or management. When we checked out, the manager asked me how was our stay? He was not even aware that WE HAD ISSUES that they denied our paid & confirmed booking! Trip.com finally settled this issue with the hotel, and the hotel returned our overpaid credit card charged. Trip.com apologies a few times, they made many efforts to call us a few times. But the hotel & the management acting as if nothing happened! Is this really how a 5 stars hotel service? Luxury what? They treated us like a homeless person begging for room! So UNACCEPTABLE! I have never experienced staying in a 5 stars hotel with such a BAD service like this! This is the worst in our history of travel! This place must keep their act together! Learn hospitality BETTER! Overall, we were very disappointed, & this place is far from Luxury Collection, it's a CHEAP collection!

Para comparación - una botella de vino brillante en el almacén costos 12-15 dinar, en el hotel - 60! El hotel está bien, es una gran opción.

Shell Luxury Camp is an idyllic oasis set against an otherwise harsh desert landscape. Waking up to sunrise right outside the camp is genuinely breathtaking. The cosy “shell” accommodation delivers a true five-star experience, with exceptionally comfortable bed linens. Service was prompt, staff were attentive, warm, and professional. Hot water availability is limited to specific time frames and was only lukewarm during winter. To their credit, the front desk did remind guests, which helped manage expectations. Although the camp is relatively new, signs of wear and tear are already visible. Broken floor tiles and damaged toilet fixtures detract from the overall experience and should be addressed promptly to maintain the camp’s luxury positioning. The campsite would benefit from improved upkeep. Contrary to the hotel description, reaching the campsite directly by private car is not always possible, especially when roads are covered with sand. Hotel transfer is required. To avoid miscommunication, where language barriers may exist, it would be helpful for the camp to request guests’ vehicle plate number, colour, and model in advance, in addition to sharing live location. The room rate is undeniably steep, but overall, I had a memorable and luxurious desert stay at Shell Luxury Camp.

Nuestro estancia en el campamento Shaheen fue una experiencia increíble, aunque nos trasladaron al campamento Hasan Zawaideh debido a la baja temporada. Dado que los campamentos están juntos, y probablemente tienen los mismos propietarios, la transición fue sin fin, y nos congratulamos de la llegada. We really enjoyed our stay at UFO Luxotel. One thing to note is that the hotel is not within the Wadi Rum protected area, so it is about 5 minutes drive to the main gate. The hotel does have some partnership with the local bedouins who can take you on a desert or camel tour, but it is better to liaise with the local bedouin on your own. The bubble tents are really nice, made of plastic, comes with a standing shower, washbasin and a comfortable bed. There is air conditioning inside the tent. Outside the tent, there is a hammock and some chairs. At night, the weather in the desert can get quite cold so we enjoyed the special fur blanket provided in the room. There was a stargazing photography course but we did not sign up for it. The food was absolutely delicious, from the dinner with local dishes and underground baked lamb, to the breakfast buffet. Since our tent was quite far from the entrance, there was a buggy to send us to our room. But on the day of the checkout, after calling reception, the buggy took a bit longer than expected. Overall we enjoyed our stay in the desert in these luxury tents, and the price was affordable.

We stayed here as a family in a bubble tent during our trip to Wadi Rum, and overall we had a very positive experience. The owner, Eid, was genuinely attentive from the very beginning. Shortly after we made the reservation, he contacted us by email and stayed in touch throughout the process. He truly does his best at every stage to make sure his guests are comfortable and satisfied. We really appreciated that level of care and communication. The location of the camp is beautiful and peaceful. Even though the weather was partly cloudy, we were still able to see the stars at night, which was very special. Dinner was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes. The vegetable options were especially delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We also joined a jeep desert tour, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay. Our guide (I unfortunately forgot his name) was friendly and made the experience both enjoyable and comfortable. Traveling with two children, we felt safe, relaxed, and well taken care of throughout our stay. I would happily recommend this camp to other families visiting Wadi Rum.
