This is an absolute gem among all the hotels I've stayed in over 15 years of traveling across 40 countries.
The design of the rooms, corridors, and common areas is stunning and truly unique. There’s an arcade machine in the room with Nintendo games from my childhood… It feels like the hotel owner's personal signature style - and it's the most amazing highlight of this place!
A special afternoon tea with fantastic cookies is a wonderful service.
Breakfast is usually a buffet, as far as I understand, but on the day of my stay, there was no buffet, and breakfast was served individually for each guest. Still, it was very good and filling.
The location is excellent - right next to the bus station. That means you can check in immediately after arriving from the airport by airport bus, or leave your luggage if you arrive early. Getting anywhere in the city is also easy, quick and cheap by local buses.
The room was very comfortable: quiet and very warm (I stayed during the cold season), exceptionally clean, with a great bathroom, and everything was in perfect condition. The bed was very comfortable with amazingly soft pillows worthy of a high-end hotel - and they even provide several pillows with different levels of softness!
The staff's attitude toward guests is excellent: I'm a light sleeper, and quietness is important to me, but in Asia this is often a problem even in expensive hotels. So when booking, I requested a quiet room on a high floor and away from the elevator - and my wishes were fulfilled perfectly.
And for all of this, the price is simply incredible. This hotel is worth traveling to Yantai just to stay here!
Overall, it's a masterpiece. The only places I've seen that are better are classic five-star hotels, but even they don't have such outstanding interior design and arcade machines. 😊 And if you were born in the 1980s, you absolutely have to stay at this hotel to play the games of your childhood on a real arcade machine right in your room. 😊

Está bastante bien. Me quedé allí más de uno o dos días. Esta reseña es realmente interesante. Se descuentan puntos según el número de palabras, lo cual es muy molesto. ¿Puede Ctrip no hacerlo tan problemático? ¡Incluso tengo que subir fotos! ¿Es realmente necesario hacerlo tan problemático?

The location is absolutely unbeatable! The subway station is right across from the hotel. There are many attractions and popular photo spots within walking distance nearby, which makes everything very convenient. The famous restaurant Shuangheyuan is also just a short walk away.
The hotel feels like a traditional ancient siheyuan courtyard, with a charming, classic atmosphere. We spent a very happy 4 days and 3 nights there and even got to see Qingdao’s first snowfall — incredibly romantic.

Habitaciones: Estábamos en la planta 33. Nuevas y de buen tamaño. La lavadora-secadora funcionaba bien. Hay que pedir platos, cuencos y cubiertos. Merece la pena gastar un poco más para conseguir la habitación con vistas al mar por las vistas a la bahía y el espectáculo de luces por la noche, que es genial.
Los pasillos son un poco sombríos, pero no se preocupen, las habitaciones están bien.
Solo hay tres ascensores para todo el edificio de 35 plantas, que está lleno de apartahoteles. Así que la espera puede ser larga. Es mejor estar en un piso alto para que el ascensor esté menos lleno cuando finalmente llega.
Tienes acceso al centro comercial Mix C (que es enorme) tanto desde la planta 6 como desde la planta baja.
Ubicación: Perfecta. Junto a la estación 4 de Mayo. Parada de DiDi justo afuera. A poca distancia de la plaza 4 de Mayo y del espectáculo de luces. Hay muchas tiendas y un supermercado en Mix C. Varias tiendas de conveniencia cerca.
Servicio: Bueno. Te invitan a unirte a ellos en WeChat y puedes hacer solicitudes por ahí. Resuelven las solicitudes con bastante rapidez.

located just 100m from airport bus station, huge libby, decent size room, very comfortable down pillows and duvets, i will ask for 1 more pillow next time, as they were slightly low.
I also i will bring my own light proof curtain , size 180cm x120cm, so that i don't wake up with the sun going up on 5.30 am. Breakfast was delicious but poor me i stayed in bed till 8.45, that was late already. Very calm environment despite proximity to bus and train station.

La ubicación es super buena, justo en la calle Yang, el hotel es muy especial, en cooperación con Zhang Zhen, la pared exterior es una barra de características de Zhang Zhen por cien años, y puede caminar a Taiyuan. Facilitaciones: ¡La habitación es grande, camas dobles pueden juntarse, conveniente para llevar a los bebés. ¡Hay un estacionamiento, el centro de la ciudad de oro en polvo es muy conveniente! La habitación del hotel está limpia y ordenada. La reservé al principio porque teníamos que tomar un avión temprano a la mañana siguiente, porque no era conveniente para nosotros vivir con niños. Solo quería encontrar un restaurante cerca del aeropuerto. Cuando Vi el hotel, me llamé Por lo que puedo imaginar, la recepción es muy amable, el hotel está muy limpio, el aislamiento acústico es muy bueno, los camareros son muy educados y lo más importante es que es muy conveniente para abordar el avión. 這次入住體驗超出預期！房間佈局合理，裝修簡約現代，人字拼木地板和暖光燈帶營造出温馨的氛圍。雙人床軟硬適中，床品乾淨舒適，床頭的小裝飾畫和燈光設計很有格調。特別喜歡靠窗的小圓桌區域，晚上坐着處理工作或喝杯咖啡都很愜意～ 驚喜的是酒店還配備了健身房（劃重點！）雖然器材不算多，但水阻划船機和動感單車都很新，大窗户讓運動時能看城市景觀，開放到22點對夜貓子很友好（看到洗衣房在同一區域也很方便）。 出差旅遊都會考慮再次入住！ （PS：前台服務響應很快，入住時還貼心提醒了健身房位置）

La ubicación del hotel está cerca de la estación de alta velocidad, llegó en unos minutos de coche. El servicio del personal de la recepción del hotel es bastante bueno. The hotel is pretty and I booked it for 1 night as a luxury treat so I could get a good rest for my layover stop to another destination. My room smelt like stale smoke unfortunately, though I had asked for non-smoking. I paid extra on my booking for breakfast and had to wake up at 6am, eat breakfast at 6.30am and go to the airport at 7.20am. My room had a bathtub so I took a bath before bedtime and went to bed at midnight, I got up to go switch the lamp off at 1am and found this bug crawling up the side of my bed going towards me. I think it's either a tick or a bed bug, the body was full of blood. It had 6 or 8 legs, difficult to see but I took a video which doesn't allow me to upload. I don't have any problems with normal bugs such as spiders, but if it is a tick or bedbug it is a big problem. I was really worried there were more hiding inside the bed, I called reception for help and they looked at the bug which I caught in a glass cup. They apologised deeply and changed my room, so I had to move at 1.30am. I explained I was already tired and have to wake up early. In the new room I was unable to sleep as I kept worrying about bed bugs. I got up multiple times to check my bed. And there was a noisy couple next door talking loudly until very late so I couldn't sleep. For a luxury hotel you should not need to loose a whole night's sleep because you are worried about bedbugs or ticks biting you. Nor should be able to hear noise from other guests through the wall. I was extremely exhausted the next day and did not have any appetite. I asked if they could refund the extra I paid for breakfast because I couldn't eat it, but they said it wasn't possible. So I forced myself to try eat 1 egg and some small rice porridge but couldn't finish it. Really expensive to pay for breakfast and hardly eat, it's a shame they couldn't refund the breakfast considering I had no sleep. For a 5* hotel, I would like to have good rest and peaceful sleep. But it was not like that. The staff were very kind and helpful, but it's not so easy to travel here alone. It was not easy to book a taxi for the following morning to the airport and it took 40 minutes of assistance, the man was very kind and helpful, but the hotel should make an easier system for foreign guests to book taxi. When I first arrived in Jinan airport, I had no idea how to get to the hotel. There is no ATM inside the hotel so you cannot withdraw cash, and you cannot pay with foreign card to book a taxi. The shangri-la website did not provide any details for public transport. It simply said bus transfer was available but did not say which number bus. I would give the details here but I have forgotten the route name and bus number now as it was hectic and I was very tired, sorry. I had to waste a lot of time trying to ask for help at the airport as the staff did not speak English. Luckily someone helped me. The bus will cost 20yuan and take you into the centre where you will see the intercontinental hotel and a large shopping mall on the left side of the bus, get off at that stop, it takes 1 hour. From there it's only 5 minutes walk to shangri-la. For a big hotel they should provide easy instructions on the website to guests.
The staff apologised deeply for the bug on the bed, and offered 10% reduction of the room rate. Although when I checked out no refund was given and they didn't mention anything about it, I think they just charged full price. Personally I think 10% is not enough anyway. Nobody wants to change rooms at 1.30am because of bugs crawling on the bed. I didn't get any sleep at all and felt itchy because I kept thinking about bugs and couldn't eat the breakfast. I was absolutely exhausted the following day so I was unable to do anything at my next destination and had to waste 1 day more to rest. Unfortunately not an easy experience at the shangri-la.

Two small issues: all the TV channels are in Chinese. The internet connection requires a Chinese phone number (the staff was kind enough to solve it).
The location is hard to reach by car. Once you know it, it's very convenient.

RRara MomijiLocation is great because our intention was to be in the Laoshan District. Might not be easy if most of your plans are in the touristy areas such as the Tsingtao Brewery Museum. Anyway, there is Metro (underground subway) which helped us address that in case we wanted to have a look at downtown. The hotel is a 10 min walk from either Haiyou or Haichuan stations in Line 2.
We’re not so much of a fan of Chinese food for breakfast, so the free breakfast was not fascinating for us. They did have eggs and bread.
There is an elevator to help us carry or luggage all the way to our floors. And the room was neat and clean, and they clean it every time we’re out.

From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the spotless cleanliness throughout the entire property. The lobby was bright and inviting, the hallways were pristine, and our room was immaculate. It’s clear that the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work, and it made our stay feel both safe and luxurious.
The staff deserves a special mention. Every team member we encountered, from the front desk to the dining area, was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. They greeted us with genuine smiles, were always ready with a local recommendation, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Their positive attitude really set the tone for our entire trip.
Now, let’s talk about the breakfast – it was excellent! We’ve stayed at many hotels where the complimentary breakfast is a bit of an afterthought, but not here. There was a fantastic variety of selections to choose from. We enjoyed hot items like waffles and scrambled eggs, fresh fruits, pastries, and healthy yogurts. The coffee was always fresh and piping hot, and there was a great selection of teas and chilled juices to start our day right. It’s a real game-changer to begin a day of exploring with such a satisfying and delicious meal.
What truly sealed the deal for us was the incredible value. The price was very reasonable, especially when compared to other hotels in a similar category that we've stayed at in Qingdao. You get so much more for your money here—the excellent breakfast, the modern, clean rooms, and the wonderful service make it a standout choice.
The location was another huge plus for us. The hotel is conveniently located near the metro, making it incredibly easy to get around the city without a car. Furthermore, the surrounding area is vibrant and full of life! We loved being able to step outside and find great restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance. It felt like we were in the heart of the action.
Finally, as non-smokers, we greatly appreciated that the entire hotel, including all rooms, was completely smoke-free. It made the environment so much more pleasant.
In summary, our stay at the Hampton by Hilton in Qingdao was practically perfect. It offers incredible value, combining cleanliness, exceptional service, a delicious breakfast, and a prime location. We wouldn’t hesitate to book here again and will be recommending it to all our friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful stay

CCarolZHI have stayed at this hotel twice before because it’s quite close to the train station but this time, I got a room so small that I had to roll on the bed to get to the other side of the room. The space between the foot of the bed and TV stand was too narrow to comfortably walk through.
The hotel is also in an obscure area so the Didi can’t drop /pick you at the door.
The staff is very friendly though.
Breakfast options are enjoyable but also limited.

This was a nice little hotel standing right in front of a beach. The placement can be seen as perfect as this large beach is wonderful itself and much better then the beaches at the city center. The only inconvenience to consider when choosing this or nearby hotels is lack of cafes and restorans nearby, so you'd better take breakfasts in the hotel, they were not bad, tasty and very filing, with serveral options to choose from. For other places to eat, except for a two nearby costly restorans, you'll have to wark to find one about 1-1,5 km or more. If you want to spend more time in the city center consider also the time to travel to it, about 1,5 hours on a bus, 30-50 minutes on taxi.
The service was decent, even though stuff does not speak english they were very welcome and supportive, helping me and calling taxi a couple of times when I needed it.
The hotel itself is clean. The room was cleaned daily, not perfectly as the floors in the room stayed a bit dusty all the time but that was not too much of an issue. The bedding was always clean, towels were clean as well and changed daily.
I have to say a few words about the beach and the see themselves. The beach is large and clean, there are trash bins which are cleaned daily. It have a sand of very good quality, indeed of a golden color. The beach longs for several kilometers and is from about 150 meters wide to 200+ meters wide depending on the tides. The beach is shallow but no too much, you can easily walk to a place where you can swim freely. It was August and the water was extremely warm and cozy. It was clean with little human made trash coming from the see, but due to temperature the water near the shore start blooming on a second or third day of my stay there. I had to walk 10-15 meters in a 50-80 centimeters deep water full of seaweed before I come to clear waters. I bit unpleasant but not a big deal. There were some jelly fish coming the shore, the see doesn't have dangerous ones though. The beach has some infrastructure, at least there is a place to wash your hands and legs and there are public toilets nearby the beach, but there are no safeguards on it. With an chinese specifics I would say that's a plus as they are too restrictive and protective here.

FFrom a SingaporeanThe positive attitude and service performance of the staff ranging from front desk, concierge/security to breakfast restaurant and house keeping is excellent. The classic hotel personal service with a modern twist makes the stay a memorable experience. On my check-in, Ms Xiao Jiao and Ms Xiao Cong gave me and explained briefly the leaflet on the hotel’s suggested tourist attractions in Yantai. They also enthusiastically exchanged small RMB notes with me. They also gave me a piece of mooncake of my choice (and during my check-out too). The restaurant staff is attentive, replenishing food and drinks and attending to requests promptly. Due to my lack of command of Mandarin and accent, the chef cooked the wanton instead of the mackerel dumplings for me, he immediately served me the dumplings when he realised the miscommunication. The next morning, after serving me the mackerel dumplings, he, I think, recognised me, suggested I could add soup and condiments to the dumplings. I find their fleshly cooked dumplings are even better than the dumplings from the most famous dumplings restaurant in Yantai. The concierge staff on 2 days helped me book taxi using her phone app, paying in advance on my behalf as booking via internet cannot be settled in cash. The concierge/front desk lent me umbrella without question.
After a delayed and tiring flight, Mr Xiao Gao brought me to my room and explained the mechanics of the switches in the room. There was a hand-written welcome note from Ms Liu, with 2 cups of white fungus/goji drink beside it. The drink together with the note and fruits in the room, not only soothed my dry throat but also lifted the mood. House keeping provided fruits, white fungus/goji drink and dried chrysanthemum/rose flowers (to prepare for drinking) and 4 bottles (500 ml) of water daily, with up to 14 bottles at the lift lobby on my floor, and guests can also request house keeping for more bottles. On my check out day, during my breakfast, they left at the door handle, a bag of goodies, fruits and bottles of water and souvenirs (4 key chains with various types of sea shells), together with a hand-written farewell/bon voyage note from Ms Liu. Well done The Center Hotel staff, you are a pride to the hotel, the hospitality industry and Yantai!
