Aun no sabemos. Lo que si sabemos que no eran de los paseos de la calle, porque estamos bien y nos levantamos con ellas. Recomiendo una limpieza a fondo...

The location is superb, walkable distance to Darul Hana bridge, India Street, Carpenter Street and Borneo Cultures Museum. Plaza Merdeka is right beside the hotel, you can go to the mall through hotel lobby. I love how comfy the bed is and receptionist is very kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

Solía hospedarme en este hotel, pero lo han renovado y ahora las habitaciones son más pequeñas y sin ventana. Tienen mis datos y tarjeta de crédito, pero me piden un depósito de 100 para el registro.

This hotel is right in front of the famous Kuching landmark - the 7 cats. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The toilet also comes with bidet and shower was good. Breakfast buffet was also good with a decent selection of Sarawak food as well. Nearby Carpenter street too! Overall even though its a little dated it is still a very good choice to stay.

The children’s pool with slides requires better maintenance, as insects were present. Parking is located quite far from the main area; however, buggy services are available and helpful. All staff members were very friendly, attentive, and supportive throughout our stay.
The room was spacious. Although we did not receive a full sea view—only a partial one—the scenery was still stunning. The ambience of the resort is very refreshing, with high ceilings and a breezy environment that creates a relaxing atmosphere. There are many activities available, and the resort is within walking distance to a beautiful beach. Swimming is not very suitable due to strong tides, but the soft sand makes it ideal for children to play.
There are two large pools: one specifically designed for children with slides, and another main pool where mini kayaks and floating flamingos are available for rent. The kids’ activity area is very creative, with games such as dam ular and various board games.
The breakfast buffet offered a good range of choices, although I had a better dining experience during a previous visit for work purposes. Unfortunately, room service dining was not satisfactory—the fries were soggy, the fried rice was overly oily, and the carbonara was average. There was also some confusion regarding a 20% insider discount, as we were initially informed it was applicable, but later told that the discount was only valid at Horizon Café not in room service. They should explain better :(
Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and with some improvements—particularly in maintenance and food quality—it could be an even better experience.
We booked 3 rooms for 9 persons, but the hotel arranged for only 8. When we asked for one bed for the last person, they said they would make the extra bed at no charge. Actually, they should have arranged for 9 persons and didn't need to say one extra bed for FOC. Spacious room & good location, but they need to focus more on cleanliness, as there was hair & dust on the table.

One of the best hilton stay in malaysia.
1. Just refurbish their interior
2. Room and corridor smells new
3. View from the room is excellent
4. Breakfast for local cuisine from my rating is abv 8/10. Western cuisine not much variations (3/10)
5. Food at the river view cafe i would rate 4/10, but their petit gateaux i would give it 8-9/10
The crew at reception was friendly and welcoming, arrived early morning and they allowed us to store the luggage. Booked this location and stay to attend a two days course in the same venue. The room was spacious. the toilet seat cover looked too dated and worn out. there is a rooftop bar and terrace which I didn't get a chance to see, perhaps next trip .
Guest Status: Long-time loyal guest (4th stay)
Overall Rating: 2/5 (Disappointed)
We have returned to the City Rise Hotel three times previously, and our excellent experiences led us to leave positive reviews and recommend the hotel. Unfortunately, our fourth stay was highly disappointing and felt drastically different due to apparent overbooking and a failure in resource management, particularly during peak times.
Connectivity Issues
Our stay began with a frustrating technical glitch. While initially connected, the in-room TV lost its Wi-Fi connection. When attempting to reconnect to the guest network, the on-screen keyboard necessary to input the password did not appear. While this was a minor issue for a single night's stay, the overall Wi-Fi speed was extremely poor, which we suspect was due to the unusually high number of guests placing a strain on the network.
Chaotic and Inaccessible Breakfast (Major Concern)
The biggest issue arose during breakfast, which has always been a highlight of our previous visits. We arrived at 8:30 AM, well within the expanded serving window (6:00 AM to 10:30 AM). The dining area was beyond packed, it was chaotic. There was a significant queue just to enter, and once our room number was ticked off by the staff (meaning we were recorded as having consumed breakfast), we quickly realized there were zero available seats. Approximately 20 guests were standing, plate in hand, waiting for an empty table, and there was no crowd control, with people blatantly cutting the entry queue.
My husband approached the staff to suggest opening an adjacent hall, as we had seen done during previous busy stays. The request was denied, citing that the hall was reserved for an event. He then asked if we could, at least, take a plate back to our room given the seating crisis, but this was also denied. We questioned the difference between taking food to the room and standard room service, but the decision remained firm.
Ultimately, due to the extreme overcrowding, the stress of competing for a seat, and the lack of any proactive management of the situation, we chose to forego breakfast entirely. Despite not eating, our room was already marked as having utilized the service. This was particularly frustrating as we were checking out soon and did not have time to wait for the situation to resolve itself.
Severe Parking Congestion
The strain on the hotel's capacity was also evident in the parking area upon our return in the evening. The parking lot was full to an unprecedented degree, with cars parked illegally and inappropriately in areas like the main entrance, highlighting a clear lack of available space and regulation.
Verdict from us?
It appears the hotel management may have dramatically overbooked the premises without scaling key resources (like dining space and parking) to match the guest load. The capacity for breakfast was clearly exceeded. We highly recommend that the hotel implements stricter occupancy rules, re-evaluates its dining capacity (perhaps revisiting the policy of opening secondary halls, which worked well in the past), and verifies the number of guests receiving complimentary breakfast to prevent overcrowding.
While we have always loved the City Rise Hotel, this visit's lack of preparedness and poor handling of the breakfast situation has seriously damaged our opinion, and we will hesitate to book again during what appears to be any peak period.

PP_A_GrayVery good hotel, excellent waterfront location and close to the centre, the rooms are fantastic. Very spacious, well laid out and equipped. My only gripe is the short/late opening hours of the pool bar for food and drinks, and the fact that even during the opening hours the staff are non-existent. It’s frustrating as it could be great rather than very good.
UUsuario anónimoI booked a Standard Hill View King on Chinese New Year Eve, The overall stay is a decent one, was provided with one King size bed and one single size bed, room was equipped with one mini fridge, one kettle and some cups, tissues, TV but the satellite line was bad as TV line appears unstable, small hair dryer, you can refer to photo I posted for amenities and room view, what I showed is all I got. Breakfast wasn't many choice but good enough, they have laksa, kolomee, salad, nasi lemak, bread

JJohana binti JohariRoom with sea view was absolutely perfect. The panoramic ocean view from our room were breathtaking, green, fresh. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. Very calm pool to swim. Private beach access was ideal for relaxing vacation.
