We recently stayed at Hotel Okura in Niigata and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautifully situated overlooking the Shinano River, providing stunning views, especially during sunset. The location is very convenient, with easy access to the JR Niigata Train Station and Niigata Airport, making it a great base for exploring the area. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. We particularly enjoyed the variety of dining options available at the hotel, including a French restaurant and a Japanese restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We appreciated their attentiveness and willingness to assist with any requests we had. Overall, Hotel Okura Niigata offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and excellent service. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Niigata.

Super happy with our first snow experience. Easy to navigate from echigo yuzawa station as there is free shuttle bus provided you have reserved a spot online. Many food to choose from, you wont go hungry. Kid friendly, my kids enjoyed their stay and had fun in the snow. Staff are friendly and can speak english, not very fluent but pretty much understandable. Bring your own AI translator if you must. Room is pretty much average. Love the location and the snow experience is 9/10. Will come back again soon.

Not the hotel’s fault but ski slope was not opened until 27 Dec due to lack of snow. Otherwise it would have been a great ski in and out. Lift pass to Gala was provided. Breakfast and buffet dinner were fantastic. Onsen was as expected with leg massage pools.

車で宿泊しました。立地について、新潟駅までは徒歩25分程度と距離ありましたが万代バスセンター周辺や西堀エリアには徒歩10分程度と新潟市内を万遍なく回ったため車の止め易さも考慮し適度な立地と思いました。建物は少し古いんでしょうが清潔で設備面十分で接客も良かったのでとても満足出来ました。

Está situado a pocos pasos de Uonuma no Sato y dispone de un servicio de transbordo de complimentación a y desde Hatago Isen frente a la estación de Echigo Yuzawa. El baño es agradable, pero como con alojamientos tradicionales como este, puede ser bastante frío, especialmente en la zona de baño en invierno. La cena fue servida en forma bento en nuestra habitación. El bento incluye dos onigiri generosamente grandes, apetitos y cuatro artículos principales, incluyendo un pato de carne, peces grilados y wagyu brasado. El baño de los huéspedes es también muy agradable y amar el baño con el jardín de paisaje negro. Great place to get away from your busy mindset. Very good views, you can hear the waves and feel the sea breeze. Room has all the basic stuff and they even put cold water with ice for you. Onsen is pleasantly nice and quiet. Staff are attentive and will make effort for you to feel welcome. Great for families, food is very good too. Small rant, no washing machine to use. Cheers.

Was given a room with 2 single beds. When I checked with the reception, they said their level 10 was under renovation and that my booking doesn't give me a choice. This is the first time I was told I don't have a choice to the bed configuration. Rooms are not sound proof. We could hear voices from next room.  Room is spacious by Japanese standard, and location is good, near to Bandai Pier and fashion shopping. We could walk to the train station in 10 minutes.  Enjoyed our stay.

魚沼のお米と源泉掛け流しで選びました。 とにかくお湯が良かったです露天で涼みながら入る温泉は格別です。お肌ももちっとなってスベスベで嬉しくなりました。 建物は古いですが内装は清潔ですしオシャレな家具でまとめてて私は好きです。程よい距離間のサービスも気に入ってます。夕食のお米は期待通りで美味しかったです。ただ定食が肉と魚が揚げ物で魚のカキフライ定食にしましたが私にはヘビーでした。でも副菜は4つ付いてどれも美味しかったです！単品に魅力的なオカズがありご飯味噌汁副菜のセットがあれば単品で自分の好みのお夕飯が組めたな〜と思いました。 稲刈り後の田んぼと秋色の山々が見晴らせる素敵なお宿でした。屋根にサギが一休みしていました。
