I recently stayed at Hotel Okura Niigata, and my experience was delightful. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm welcome and attentive staff. The hotel is located in a prime area, with easy access to local attractions, and offers a beautiful view of the Shinano River, which adds a touch of tranquility to the stay. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was cozy, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a long day of exploring the city. The amenities were top-notch, and the bathroom was well-equipped with everything I needed. I also appreciated the traditional touches in the room, giving it a refined Japanese atmosphere.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel provides a shuttle bus from Echigo Yuzawa station therefore it is very convenient via Shinkansen from Tokyo. I do like the room design, it felt showa-era Japanese with a mix of western scifi at the same time, kinda like the film space odyssey. The receptionist was very kind and gave us discounts for ski lifts. Ski lockers were included so we could keep all our gear downstairs. There are many restaurants to choose from, best meal was the steak paella with the option to add extra meat at Edelweiss. Breakfast view from Kiyotsu restaurant was majestic, got to see the early birds ski while enjoying our meal. We were at the slopes pretty much from the morning until after the sun sets because there was night ski! After a whole day of skiing, resting at the outdoor onsen overlooking the snow garden was surreal, all the pains and aches just disappeared. To end the night, we watched the fireworks display from our room. We went to Naeba to ski but received far more than I expected. Thanks to all thestaff for the wonderful experience. We will be back soon and already planning a return.

We had an amazing time at NASPA New Otani — this hotel is a fantastic choice if you’re visiting Yuzawa, especially for a winter getaway! The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay, making us feel right at home from check-in to check-out. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable — perfect for relaxing after a day of skiing. The location is ideal for winter sports lovers with ski-in/ski-out access to the slopes and easy shuttle service to Echigo-Yuzawa Station, which made getting around a breeze even in snowy weather. The onsen and bathing facilities were relaxing and just what we needed after spending time outdoors. The buffet breakfast and dinner had plenty of variety and were really enjoyable, with something for everyone. While the hotel is set a little away from town, the free shuttle made it convenient to explore the area if we wanted. Overall, it felt like a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and superb service — highly recommended!

Está situado a pocos pasos de Uonuma no Sato y dispone de un servicio de transbordo de complimentación a y desde Hatago Isen frente a la estación de Echigo Yuzawa. El baño es agradable, pero como con alojamientos tradicionales como este, puede ser bastante frío, especialmente en la zona de baño en invierno. La cena fue servida en forma bento en nuestra habitación. El bento incluye dos onigiri generosamente grandes, apetitos y cuatro artículos principales, incluyendo un pato de carne, peces grilados y wagyu brasado. El baño de los huéspedes es también muy agradable y amar el baño con el jardín de paisaje negro. Great place to get away from your busy mindset. Very good views, you can hear the waves and feel the sea breeze. Room has all the basic stuff and they even put cold water with ice for you. Onsen is pleasantly nice and quiet. Staff are attentive and will make effort for you to feel welcome. Great for families, food is very good too. Small rant, no washing machine to use. Cheers.

El hotel es muy agradable y limpio. El hotel está bien diseñado. La habitación que hemos permanecido en la parte Lodge está bien diseñada y designada. Espacial para dos personas, aunque hemos reservado una suite familiar. La opción japonesa de desayuno fue mucho mejor planificada, tranquila y organizada (no se puede conseguir su variedad de estilo de huevos de desayuno). El Onsen en Arai es muy agradable, limpio y un agradable lugar para relajarse después del esquí. El hotel está situado en el centro de la ciudad de Lotte Arai, donde se encuentran otros lugares de esquí y, como se ha dicho, no se trata de los regalos, los esquíadores y los planeadores. The place is very close to Gala Yuzawa station around 8mins walk. The place is great with attentive staff. There is an available shuttle service where you can call the hotel to fetch you. Downside is that there is no available restaurants nearby so you have to go to Echigo Yuzawa. You can avail the shuttle service. Would have been great if there’s supplementary breakfast. There’s a 300yen fee for bath.

We booked a Superior Room 25 Sq m Location is not near Niigata Station But it’s Bandai Centre, lots of shopping & eating My friend was sick, front desk was helpful finding a clinic nearby.
