I love Charlton house, it was really quirky. The way it has been styled is really unusual. It makes you feel like you're in a bit of a fantasy world with the little corridors and quirky little nooks and crannies. For me it fit the bill, it did the job that I needed but I understand for those people that do not get it on an offer and pay a lot of money to stay there I understand how they might say that it's a bit dirty a bit tired a bit grubby and needs a bit of TLC. There seemed to be one very sweet man that was running around doing pretty much everything and the rest of the staff were hidden behind doors or just not there. I'm not sure. There were staff present in the spa and they were lovely and helpful and kind. My little room was gorgeous and cute and cozy, and clean enough although tatty in places. For me I really had a nice day and I would definitely come back. The breakfast was extremely basic but I didn't have extremely high expectations, and I'm not really a breakfast person, so again it may not make the tick box for others but it did the job for me. The rooms were spacious and well-lit, with a simple yet elegant decor. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep without any disturbances. The hotel offered a wide range of amenities, from a fitness center to a swimming pool, from dining options to meeting rooms, all reflecting the hotel's high standards.

Had stayed there many years ago. It was still as brilliant as last time. I would highly recommend it when visiting Bath.

Friendly service; clean room and bathroom. Nothing wrong with it really except that I was expecting a HOTEL based on the pictures and certainly the price! The location is great but be aware that this an INN with rooms attached at the back. Breakfast not included (costs £15 extra). Location great right in front of the cathedral but no parking. A good, comfortable stay but overpriced fro what it was and the time of year (mid-October).

El trabajo era tan ruidoso que mis amigos y yo no pudimos dormir en medio de la noche, y la campana extractora no paró hasta las tres. en punto de la noche. Al día siguiente fuimos al hotel y pedimos cambiar de habitación. El hotel dijo que lo sentían y que harían todo lo posible para organizar un cambio. Al mediodía, efectivamente me había cambiado a una habitación en el segundo piso que daba a la calle. Era más grande y tenía una mejor vista. La clave era que ya no tenía que preocuparme por el ruido de la campana extractora. El personal del hotel también nos ayudó con entusiasmo a reservar billetes de autobús de larga distancia en el ordenador. El desayuno del hotel también es muy bueno. El desayuno inglés requiere reserva el día anterior. Además, el hotel cobrará un depósito de 50 libras por día al momento del check-in. Espero que puedas obtener un reembolso dentro de las dos semanas posteriores a tu salida del hotel. Han pasado tres días y no he recibido ningún mensaje de reembolso.

I have stayed in 100s of Hotels. I now try to avoid the chrome & glass gin palace type. I use budget hotels for a one night stay. However this was a 5 day break to celebrate my partners 60th birthday. The Hotel was wonderful, historic building but maintained well. Lovely staff who made us feel very welcome. A lovely cooked to order breakfast and the evening meal was cooked to perfection and our waiting staff were better than most restaurants. The room was perfect, cleaned when we required and the location is perfect. There is a bus to town every 15mins which is just 3 stops away. If you are visiting Bath this is the best hotel to stay in.

We booked a coach house and stayed for one night. The room decoration is so nice and music was playing when you entered the room! There were snacks like candy, ice-cream, crisps and drinks provided at the little pantry just outside our room. Our kid was so excited about this. The reception lady who helped us to check in was very sincere and helpful. The breakfast at the restaurant was also superb! We are really happy about our stay here.

We had a delightful stay at The George Hotel. The staff were exceptionally kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome. While the rooms are a little dated, they were warm, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious, served hot, and offered a great selection—even our fussy son found something to enjoy! We would be more than happy to stay here again.
