Nothing wrong with it really except that I was expecting a HOTEL based on the pictures and certainly the price! The location is great but be aware that this an INN with rooms attached at the back. Breakfast not included (costs £15 extra). Location great right in front of the cathedral but no parking. A good, comfortable stay but overpriced fro what it was and the time of year (mid-October).

La habitación doble es realmente bonita, fue renovada en una casa señorial en el siglo pasado. Muy limpio, muy tranquilo y muy seguro. No se parece en nada al albergue juvenil que imaginabas.

Me gusta mucho el estilo de decoración de este hotel y el servicio del hotel también es muy cálido. Sin embargo, la primera noche me asignaron la habitación 503 en el segundo piso. La habitación era pequeña y la vista desde la ventana no lo era. Bueno, la clave es que afuera de la ventana está la enorme campana extractora del restaurante del hotel. El trabajo era tan ruidoso que mis amigos y yo no pudimos dormir en medio de la noche, y la campana extractora no paró hasta las tres. en punto de la noche. Al día siguiente fuimos al hotel y pedimos cambiar de habitación. El hotel dijo que lo sentían y que harían todo lo posible para organizar un cambio. Al mediodía, efectivamente me había cambiado a una habitación en el segundo piso que daba a la calle. Era más grande y tenía una mejor vista. La clave era que ya no tenía que preocuparme por el ruido de la campana extractora. El personal del hotel también nos ayudó con entusiasmo a reservar billetes de autobús de larga distancia en el ordenador. El desayuno del hotel también es muy bueno. El desayuno inglés requiere reserva el día anterior. Además, el hotel cobrará un depósito de 50 libras por día al momento del check-in. Espero que puedas obtener un reembolso dentro de las dos semanas posteriores a tu salida del hotel. Han pasado tres días y no he recibido ningún mensaje de reembolso.

We loved our stay at the Landsdown hotel for New Year’s Eve. Only a short (but steep downhill) walk to the town centre and the Royal crescent which suited us very well, and the parking was perfect (apparently this is one of few hotels to have parking in the town centre although we paid £15 per night, but was allowed to stay until 4pm the next day). Breakfast was included and was delicious, the staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble and they were super knowledgeable and helpful. The room itself had a nice view of the town, and had everything we needed. The only criticism was our window didn’t open but there was a fan supplied in the cupboard. Would definitely recommend and would come here again :)

La palabra es sumptuosa para describir este hotel. De la sala de estar a la sala de estar a la sala de snacks libre, todo es sumptuoso. La habitación que reservamos es absolutamente grande con techos altos y grandes ventanas. La cama y la cama son super cómodos y nos dormimos muy bien. El baño es agradable con un gran tubo. La ubicación también es excelente, a pocos minutos del centro, el puente y los baños romanos. Esperando quedarse aquí otra vez.

We had a delightful stay at The George Hotel. The staff were exceptionally kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome. While the rooms are a little dated, they were warm, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious, served hot, and offered a great selection—even our fussy son found something to enjoy! We would be more than happy to stay here again.

I booked this hotel in Bath through trip.com. I took advantage of two promotions on the platform: a £5.99 railcard purchase and £5 off train tickets, both requiring booking a European hotel within 26 days through trip.com. Considering that the official website’s prices were quite similar, I went with the trip.com booking. I reserved a cozy room for 1 adult without breakfast for £113. Money-saving tip: I used TopCashback to access trip.com, earning $7.67 cashback for this booking. After I checked out, trip.com triggered an immediate discount of £10.46, which I applied to my next train ticket purchase.

This hotel falls under the Marriott Tribute Portfolio, embracing a boutique hotel approach. The entire establishment dates back to 1739, boasting a historic exterior. It’s conveniently situated just about 3 minutes’ walk from the Roman Baths and across from Sally Lunn’s. With my Marriott Platinum Card, even with a third-party reservation, the hotel upgraded us to a larger ground floor room facing the street after matching our account, but it’s not advisable due to potential noise. They also offered complimentary à la carte breakfast. Breakfast slots had to be reserved during check-in, and we chose a table at 10 AM. The breakfast was abundant, and the restaurant had a charming and lovely atmosphere. The experience was excellent (the best things are free!). Unfortunately, I don’t have space for more photos, but I’ll post one of the restaurant later.
The room was quite small, designed in a modern British style, with a movie-themed decor according to the posters on the wall. All the amenities were provided, with local brand toiletries available for purchase at the front desk for £25 for two bottles. They were decent, but nothing extraordinary to consider bringing back home. The minibar had coffee, various teas, semi-skimmed milk packets, and biscuits. The bottled still water was in an aesthetically pleasing canned form.
🌟 There’s an Elemis sleep kit on the bedside: temple balm/sleep mist/eye cream, placed over a hotel postcard, looking quite exquisite.
The bed was very comfortable.
❌ However, there were a few drawbacks to this place… a bit unnerving… I’m not sure if I just had bad luck. The hotel corridors were somewhat confusing, and I accidentally opened the wrong room door once using my own room card. Strangely, the next day around ten o’clock, while I was in the bathroom and my son was on the bed, despite securing the latch on our door, someone managed to open it slightly, presumably seeing my son on the bed, and then closed the door. Perhaps it was a housekeeping staff member wanting to clean the room? Regardless, it felt quite odd… a little unsettling, to be honest

LLiam and JennyAttended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful.
We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest.
The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss.
One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go.
Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109.

Despite a phone call reminder in the afternoon - before housekeeping closed for the day - the hotel failed to clean my room. We ended up spending the night with an uncleared rubbish bin. If not for the helpful staff, I would have given a one-star rating under the ”Service” category. I only wish the reception had done more in their service recovery efforts.

UUsuario invitadoIt was a very special reunion for a group of nurses celebrating 50 years since we started our course in May 1975. In those days this hotel was a nurse's home and we all lived here for around 18 months. We had booked lunch,the food was lovely and the service was amazing. We so enjoyed our stay, 5 of us stayed for one or two nights. So beautiful and peaceful, couldn't have been better. Benice organised things for us, highly recommend her if you are booking an event.

YYuan Yuan TravelerI had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. The location is excellent, just a 7-minute walk from the train station. The room was clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable also the bathroom was excellent. The reception staff and the housekeeping staff were kind and friendly. Breakfast was good and met my expectations.
Overall, this hotel is very impressive and I highly recommend it.

缺點：其實所謂的Spa只是一個熱水池，沒有香味，也沒有什麼特別，不要期望太高。另外，我所訂的是。deluxe room，應該是最便宜的房間，結果，我被編配到一間傷殘人士專用的無障礙房間，廁所和浴室做不到乾濕分離，沒有浴缸，洗澡後整個廁所的地下都充滿水，而且廁所的牆身有霉菌和生鏽的痕跡，在要求了兩次後終於能夠轉換房間，但對於這個體驗，我真心是感到不滿意，如果用接近$2000港幣去居住一個五星級的酒店，我認為這間酒店的性價比不高。最初跟酒店職員要求更換房間，他說所有房間已經全滿，他聲稱能夠以優惠價100英鎊給我升級至套房，在視察環境後，我認為根本不值得，他只出原本進行升級應該是要給450英鎊才能夠進行升級，所以已經給我提供了解決方案。在我洗澡後，廁所的地下真的是完全充滿了水，而且我亦邀請他們親自來觀看牆身的無菌和花灑支架的生鏽痕跡，最終他們才給我成功轉換房間，他們說是有訪客沒有出現和確認不會來臨才會有房間，但他們這個處理我是感到不理想的。

UUsuario invitadoThe hotel is attractive and full of charm, with a pleasant aspect facing the church, however, the surrounding area of Bridgwater is rather run down. Staff were very efficient and checked us in quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the restaurant as it was closed due to it being Father's Day. Our room was ok, and had a large bathroom with both shower and separate bath. There was plenty of hot water available, but aware that it was almost scalding when allowed to run without cold added. The bed was comfortable and the room well equipped with tea facilities, ironing board and iron and hair dryer. Due to the age of the building, there was a lot of noise from residents walking around in the rooms above ours, but it wasn't too obtrusive. Breakfast was very good with a choice of full English or continental and my gluten allergy was catered for. If you need to stay in Bridgwater, then I would recommend The Old Vicarage, but we would probably look in the villages further out of the town in future.
