Well located hotel just 2-3 mins walk from Pitlochary Station exit to hotel back gate 👍🏻. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in providing/recommend places of interests. Breakfast is a must have, pretty good with traditional dining area.  Room are clean, well maintained and spacious (room facing Garden). The Dam and Fish Ladder is just 20mins walk from the hotel. What a lovely weekend stay at this most characterful resort hotel. A great vibe among the team leading to a friendly, professional and courteous guest experience from arrival and check-in, to dining, evening of drinks around the real fire and a beautiful breakfast following a comfortable restful night in a clean room and lovely freshen up shower in the morning. Very nice scenic, good for couples or family to relax, enjoy the nature and the sun. Restaurant’s food is in good quality. Good selection of drinks. Room was a bit old with old carpet and bed. Probably need renovation. Evaluator not working so we need to take the stairs with our luggage’s.

On arrival we were allocated a very small, went back to reception and this was sorted. My gripe is the now £10.00 per day parking charge. However you can park elsewhere for free. This will now make choosing the Angus hotel as not a first option as the main reason for going is the spa facilities unfortunately they are now getting tired and in need of TLC as is the hotel.

This venue is really a hidden gem up to a point , the Chef and kitchen ( paticularly the Haddock and Poached Eggs at Breakfast which is Michelin Star level ) the spa and swimming pool are kept to a good standard of hygene , however there is a serious problem with service which is evident from the staff behind the bar ( Saturday 4th May to be specific ) where it was plainly evident for all of the guests seated in the lounge to witness the grief that was being given to the Restaurant Host and other waiting staff by the two individulas behind the bar who were making their life's a misery by poor attitude and unhelpfulness when rightfully they were chasing restaurant drink orders which were painfully slow on deliverance attributed totally to the ineptness of the bar staff . Its about time that Providence Hotels boss Mr Neil Hughes and Blantyre Capital and Fairtree Alternative Real Estate were made aware of this as it is not fair on the efforts made by the other staff who are being dragged down needlessly by the bar staffs under performance , ineptness and demeanour .
