This hotel was a fall back for me I’m glad I chose to go here after a disappointing hotel I arrived to originally and I should have booked here first. Hotel is located centrally and close to local bars and shopping areas. The members of staff I met were all lovely and very helpful! The room was spotless. The only issues I had was there was no shampoo just shower gel and the heating in the room didn’t get to full temp but at this time of year the heating was not a huge deal! I stayed in room 201 so it was situated close to the lift but was far enough away to not be disturbed by the sound of it. Will be staying here again

Always spotlessly clean. Reception always very nice. Rooms have all you need. Comfortable and Clean. USB sockets, reading lights and lamps, Samsung 32” Smart TV compatible with with mobile phones, tablets and pc/lap. Desk with desk lamp and luggage storage along with open wardrobe and bedside drawers/unit. Large full size mirror. The Queen size bed is comfortable and has plenty of pillows/bedding. Bathroom is one of the best I have seen In hotels with modern and clean fittings. Subway tiling with chrome finish fittings, large bath with waterfall shower and over bath shower attachment for when just your hair needs washing. Huge fitted mirror with lighting and ample space for your toiletries etc. Towel rail and door hooks all complete the better than most bathroom. Towels and toiletries/hand wash/kettle and mugs, glasses, quality hangers and the attention to details all complete a good value room. The hotel flows on to the pub/ restaurant. Being Green King the food is all good. An extensive food and drinks menu. Easy and user friendly app allows ordering from your table for food and drinks. Overall the convenience of both hotel and bar with good service and good value a highly recommendable place to stay whether your here for business, leisure or just a night or two r&r The New Inn @ Green King always hits the mark. If you have breakfast with room it's served at the restaurant with hot & cold options Continental and Full English. Both perfectly presented and quality products. Parking for guests is free and input of car registration avoids any after stay fees.

En la ciudad de Newport, el Mercure Hotel es un lugar maravilloso, y desde el momento en que llegamos, el recepcionista que nos acompañó era muy hermoso. Ella explicó todo sobre nuestro bono claramente, y incluso cuando tuvimos que ir abajo para preguntarle algo (porque no estaba prestando atención, pero mi marido era 😅), ella todavía era tan paciente y amable. La experiencia fue sorprendente. Había una noche muy buena la cama era muy cómoda, la comida y la cena en el salón eran deliciosas, y el servicio en todo era de primera calidad. El hotel era insensible, la vibración era tranquila y todo se sentía perfecto. Recomiendo realmente Mercure Newport a cualquiera que planee permanecer en la zona. Si usted está visitando o ya vive en Newport, tiene que experimentar lo limpio, lujoso y tranquilo que es. Es un ambiente tan relajante y acogedor! 🖤✨

Convenient hotel location for the the nearby ICC convention centre. Staff was helpful and rooms were clean and quiet. Air conditioning was working initially when experiencing the heatwave but that got fixed and felt cooler afterwards. Breakfast and meals in the restaurant were good with a spread of choices. Room wifi was weak and drops off frequently and could be improved upon.

A media hora de Cardiff. Acceso fácil al coche con personal amigable y un buen desayuno y aire acondicionado en una confortable habitación. Hay comida disponible en el hotel, pero un super pub en Marshfield el Mason Arms que está a 5 minutos a pie de la costa.

Nice hotel, comfy rooms, good base for Newport and Cardiff area. Homely, family vibe.  Have been before and would return. Great cooked breakfast with fried bread!

Das Hotel ist neu, sehr sauber und verfügt über äußerst freundliches Personal. Es liegt etwas außerhalb der Stadt, was für meinen Aufenthalt anlässlich des Cardiff Halbmarathons ideal war. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet, ebenso das Abendessen. Mein Zimmer war in einwandfreiem Zustand. Insgesamt absolut empfehlenswert – ich komme gerne wieder.

Some of the frontline staff charged me a different card payment than the booking agent had agreed to. This made me feel very confused. Fortunately, their senior management, Mr. Deepy, listened patiently to my explanation and understood my discounted room rate. He explained everything clearly and eased my worries. After a few days, the card was finally charged correctly.

La habitación es muy buena, el personal es muy bueno y la ubicación es muy buena en el corazón de Caerleón.
