Beautiful rooms, clean and comfortable. We got upgraded to a cloud room with windows all along one side. Great view of the surrounding area and we could see the city in the distance. Beautiful at night, industrial looking by day. (The windows could use a little cleaning). Breakfast buffet was really good, large selection of Chinese options. The best part was the front desk staff. So helpful with our travel-related questions even though my Chinese is limited! Especially 小嘉. She helped us find a way to travel north to 可可托海.

Urcove hardly disappoints. It’s a superb hotel with great hardware. However, location wise it’s a bit far from the east gate where the opening ceremony is (15min walk ish). Although you can use the north gate (8min walk), you land in a weird spot in the ancient city. The hotels air condition also acted kinda weird when I was there. It stopped in the middle of the night even though I set it to heating mode of 24C, it dropped to 19C by itself. The room I booked supposedly has a balcony to it. But the thing is, it’s pretty much useless cuz the BBQ smoke from nearby restaurants will overwhelm you.

Conveniently located about 20 minutes walk from Turpan Museum and under half an hour taxi ride from airport, train station and Jiaohe, the hotel was great value w very big room and bed, nice walk-in shower and very helpful front desk staff. Breakfast was disappointing being a massive restaurant and by 9.45 most of the Chinese buffet items had finished and staff were slow to top up. There was no tea or coffee available at breakfast either. The coffee shop in the lobby looked very enticing and comfortable, but this is a separate franchise and for some reason was not open all day or even at 11.00 in the morning.

La habitación que me asignaron está al lado de la sala de máquinas exterior, lo cual era un poco ruidoso. El desayuno tampoco era muy bueno. Probablemente sea un hotel para grupos de turistas. Recomiendo reservar una habitación en un restaurante cercano.

El hotel tiene un bonito diseño. El servicio fue excelente. El guardia de seguridad vino hasta aquí para recoger mi equipaje, y la camarera de pisos incluso me preparó un baño de leche para los pies por la noche, lo cual fue muy relajante. Está muy cerca de la calle Hotan Second.
