Very cool statue

I saw this, one of twelve of these particular monuments, when visiting the train station. They offer lots of literature on things to do and nearby historic places, and this statue. Good read.

History at it’s finest.

Lamar has so much early history of our state. This statue has been here as a reminder of the importance of early pioneer women to this area. Lamar was on the northern route of the Santa Fe Trail.

Interesting landmark.

I went to see this after visiting the museum. Very interesting history for a small town. The old train and Amtrak station as well as the historical buildings add flair.

Admiration

A memorial to motherhood, devotion to family, hardship and the pioneering spirit of our ancestors . Have seen several of these but am always inspired by them.
