Ataturk Arboretum

Escaping the hustle and bustle of Istanbul's urban sprawl is just a single metro ride away - specifically, take the Yenikapi - Haciosman metro until the final stop, then use any number of buses to reach the Bachekoy stop. Then it's just a 5 minute walk until you reach the beautiful Belgrade Forest, which sprawls all over the northern side of the city facing the Black Sea. Nestled in this almost untouched forest, with multiple hiking trails, is Ataturk Arboretum which is a botanic park with species from all over the world and especially beautiful fall foliage. Beautiful in any season, Ataturk Arborteum is especially recommended in the autumn; entrance is just 2 TL but is closed on the weekends.

Este lugar es un respiro de la ciudad. Se trata de un jardín o más bien un bosque pequeño, de muy fácil acceso en auto o el metro. La entrada la cobran, es más económica en día de semana que los fines de semana, pero para mi valió la pena pagarla. Pasamos un día increíble caminando y recorriendo el lugar, nos sentamos en la orilla del lago y hasta hicimos senderismo. Un lugar hermoso que recomiendo visitar.

Una buena escapada desde Estambul, para salir del cemento y estar en contacto con la naturaleza, respirar un poco de aire puro, y despejarse es visitar Ataturk Arboretum. La entrada a este parque-bosque-videro de 300 hectáreas cuesta 15 Tl. Dato. No se puede ingresar con comida ni bebida.
