Worth the stop
Very detailed information. Quiet off the side of main road. There are several storyboards telling about the Labor Day hurricane of 1935. Very sad but church plays chimes on hour.

This is a moving monument to all the lives lost, with information boards explaining what happened. Remains of 300 victims are buried underneath the memorial.
