The hotel is new. The room is spacious and clean, with very comfortable bed. The rooftop infinity pool and the sky bar are a big plus, with magnificent sunset view. Staff are friendly and services are excellent. Currently top of my list among the city hotels in Kota Kinabalu.

Had a wonderful Christmas Eve stay here. I stayed in a golf field view room, which was incredibly peaceful and calming. Even with the golf field view, I could still see parts of the ocean, and the sunset was absolutely beautiful. I spent some time at the pool and was able to enjoy a stunning sunset from there as well, overlooking the pier by the beach — it was truly an amazing view. I ordered room service during my stay and was very impressed with how prompt and friendly the service was. The room was cozy, clean, and very comfortable, and I especially enjoyed relaxing in the bathtub after a long day. Overall, everything felt calm and well taken care of, making it a perfect stay. I would definitely choose to stay here again next time.

Magellan is a great place to stay if you are looking to go away from the bustling of the city to unwind and relax. I stayed here for 2 nights with family at the end of 2025. The hallway is large and you are greeted by an enormous Christmas tree. Concierge is friendly and helpful in giving directions and recommendations. Also a short Grab ride to the nearby Imago shopping mall. Rooms are large, but from the bathroom, you can tell it's a bit dated and was considered a luxury hotel about 20 years ago. Face towels, hand towels, and bath towels are provided. Slippers are thick and nice. Floors have a nice wooden finish. Balcony overlooks a scenic garden and pool. This is suitable for a family outing or a romantic getaway. There are lots of things to do in the area, including shops, cafes, gym, pools, and beaches. Nice to take walks in the morning or evenings. The nearby harbour is visited by lots of birds and fishes too.

The location is good, and the room was very clean. The customer service was outstanding. On the first day, there was an unpleasant odor in the bathroom and a blocked drain. After notifying customer service, they promptly addressed the issue during the next day's room service. While the odor remained somewhat, the drainage was significantly improved. The only downside is the absence of an elevator. If you have a lot of luggage, you'll need to carry it up and down the stairs yourself.

Never expecting this such great location, Just walk within 10 min to Pasar Philipin,wet market,grocery and so on . Amenities well prepared, staff was so kind. I forgot her name. Check in late evening and she really helpful and full of greeting. And one more things, i LEFT MY WALLET here, And after arriving at the airport i noticed my wallet was lost or missing. Then i call the receptionist, THEY KEPT my wallet . 😭 All staff members are so kind! From cleaning services till the front desk ! KUDOS! I will come again!! THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU! I cant thank you enough.

Había reservado una habitación con vista al mar, como se confirmó en mi reserva. Sin embargo, al registrarme, me asignaron una habitación con vista a un estanque con un gran árbol que obstruía la vista. Por suerte, la recepcionista fue muy amable y rápidamente me consiguió una habitación que coincidía con mi solicitud inicial. En general, mi estancia fue normal, con una limpieza aceptable. Estaba bastante agotada por el proceso de registro y la molestia de cambiar de habitación, así que no tengo mucho más que añadir.

This place is so strategic near to many places. Foods for breakfast is available and good too. This is my second time here and will continuously book this hotel in my next business visit.
