Loved this hotel. The location is great, and the staff were very helpful throughout my stay. I got a room with a view of the parking lot, which wasn’t the best, but it was still fine. You can also open the window, which I really appreciated. The room wasn’t very big, but it was clean, and the bed was large and very comfortable. The layout was also well thought out — there was plenty of space to sit and enough convenient places to put your things. My favorite part was definitely the onsen — just wow. There was one large indoor bath with an incredible city view (especially impressive since it’s on the top floor), and my absolute favorite was the smaller outdoor onsen. You could just lie back, look out over the city, and relax. What I especially loved was that even though it was cold outside, the water temperature was perfectly hot. The rooftop pool was also fantastic. The water was heated, and the view from there was just as incredible. The only downside for me was the number of people. There were a lot of tourists, so breakfast could get quite crowded, but if you go at the right time, it’s much better.  after opening time it will be ok.

Our stay has been nothing short of amazing! We were grateful for hotel shuttle service to the hotel as it saves us the trouble of climbing up slopes with our luggages. When we arrived, we were greeted by the warm welcome of the staff with free drinks provided at the lounge. The Sora Room is well equipped with amenities and comes with the private onsen, for you to enjoy any time. Recommend to get the ice (outside room) for a cool ice coke after onsen. Definitely have to give the Japanese breakfast and Kaiseiki dinner a try. Every single dish is so delicious and palatable. The hotel is located at Kanawa, within walking distances to the popular attractions such as Hells of Beppu and Onsen Museum. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Beppu!

Exit from train station, turn right, walk out of the exit and you will see the entrance of the hotel on the right of the building at AMU. Lobby at level 8 while room from 9 onwards. Level 19 is the free onsen for guests. Breakfast was good local and western style. The washer and dryer not as good I think as after wash my clothing got a smell. Managed to rewash some at Kagoshima. Overall very convenient hotel as we used their trains to travel to Peppu to visit hells and Yokosuka to visit Harmonyland

Отель оставил очень приятное впечатление — всё понравилось. Особенно интересным оказался опыт сна на татами на полу: для нас это было впервые и стало необычным и запоминающимся. Персонал доброжелательный и внимательный, что добавляет комфорта к проживанию. Отдельным плюсом стали онсэны — в отеле представлено несколько их видов, что делает отдых ещё более расслабляющим и атмосферным. В целом всё было отлично, смело рекомендую этот отель тем, кто хочет попробовать что-то новое и насладиться традиционной японской атмосферой.

Just across JR Beppu Station and make it easy to access JR/Bus. Reception is automated with some help from friendly staff. Onsen facility is a bit old but usable.  Restaurants are within walking distance. Beach is not too far away.

El propietario y el personal fueron increíblemente amables. Tardamos unos 18 minutos en caminar desde la terminal de autobuses de Yufuin hasta el alojamiento. La mayor parte del camino era llano, así que no fue difícil caminar, pero a medida que nos acercábamos al alojamiento, el último tramo se volvió sin asfaltar, lo que hacía un poco de ruido al empujar las maletas. El alojamiento tenía un ambiente limpio y acogedor en general, y el interior contaba con una tienda de antigüedades y una de ropa vintage, que fue un placer curiosear. También había un salón de té gratuito y una zona común para comidas ligeras, lo que lo convirtió en una estancia relajante. (Nos ofrecieron té de bienvenida y pasteles de arroz tradicionales japoneses como el injeolmi). Hay dos aguas termales en una misma zona. Por la noche, se pueden usar las aguas termales privadas durante unos 45 minutos cada una, mientras que por la mañana están separadas para hombres y mujeres. Tener una fuente termal privada fue especialmente práctico y agradable. La habitación estaba muy limpia y ordenada, y el aroma a madera de la arquitectura japonesa de madera era maravilloso. El espacio real se veía aún más bonito que en las fotos. Después de realizar el check-out, puede dejar su equipaje en el Centro de Información Turística, justo al lado de la estación de Yufuin. La tarifa varía según la cantidad de maletas. Cuesta unos 800 yenes dejar una maleta. El lago Kinrin está a unos 10 minutos a pie del hotel, lo que lo convierte en un lugar ideal para un paseo matutino. Se llena a la hora del almuerzo, así que recomiendo visitarlo sobre las 8 o 9 de la mañana si es posible. La niebla en la superficie del lago en las mañanas de invierno y el sendero hacia el lago, flanqueado por un pequeño templo y un bosque, creaban una atmósfera tranquila y mística. La atmósfera, inquietante pero hermosa, recordaba a la escena del túnel del comienzo de la película de Ghibli, El viaje de Chihiro. En general, el hotel tiene un ambiente tranquilo y cálido, lo que lo convierte en una excelente opción para quienes buscan una estancia relajante en Yufuin.

It felt more like a business ryokan hotel and I don’t mean it in a bad way. The onsens were very very beautiful, and I absolutely loved my stay in Kunisakisou. At night, there are hot mists surrounding the ryokan and town, which made me understand why Beppu was called the town/onsen of hell. I asked for breakfast at the last minute and it was the best meal I had throughout my whole trip in Beppu. Thank you for the lovely stay! P.S. Restaurants around the hotel close early so go to dinner around 5-6pm. Later than that, it will not be open. There’s two convenience stores within 10 minutes distance however I’m not sure if they were 24/7.

I enjoyed the ryokan. It’s quiet however the downside is it’s location - a good 30mins walk from the main attractions. You can take a cab but that will cost quite a bit despite short distance. The onsen is the bomb. Outdoor and not too crowded. Mostly i encountered only locals / Koreans. The restaurant serves food that tastes like grandma’s cooking. Not the most comprehensive to the palate but it feels like home. Overall, pleasant.

Este es nuestro 2o momento para permanecer en este hotel. La primera vez fue hace 10 años, los habitaciones han sido renovadas, lo que es bastante moderno. Amo el nuevo diseño. La vista del mar es todavía espectacular. La cama y la cocina son muy cómodas. Onsan está situado en el sótano , un destacado es que hay Basket Robins máquina de hielo está disponible 🙂 El hotel dispone de un bar de bebidas nocturnas en el lobby, vinos, café, bebidas suaves. La zona de desayuno es amplia , se sirven comida occidental y japonesa, donuts, panqueques, nueces, bebidas de vidrio, todo lo que puedes elegir.

Sekiya Resort is a masterclass in details. A gem for any archirecture enthusiasts- brutalist architecture is softened by thoughtful artistic touches, like the sculptures found at every lift landing. Upon arrival, the reception greets you with soaring glass walls that frame the entirety of Beppu below. My stay was made even more special by a high-floor corner room—the sea and city views were simply magnificent. There is nothing quite like the luxury of a private in-room onsen where you can soak and take in the sprawling city vistas in total serenity. Shuttle bus service is avaliable with advance reservation. The dinner and breakfast were an absolute delight. Good quality, well thought out menu deserves a special mention here. Highly recommended.
