This was my second stay at a Banyan Tree property, and once again, it turned out to be a truly memorable and pleasant experience. Frank, our personal concierge, was exceptionally responsive and attentive throughout our stay. He was always quick to assist with our requests and even replied to messages after regular working hours. There was a minor housekeeping incident during our stay, but Frank handled the service recovery professionally and resolved the matter promptly. The thoughtful gesture of providing gifts and a cake was greatly appreciated, and my child absolutely loved the surprise. From start to finish, we felt genuinely well taken care of. Frank’s service was highly commendable, and he is definitely a valuable asset to the Banyan Tree Group. Our dinner experience at Baiyun was also superb. The ambience was wonderful, and the food was excellent. We also enjoyed the complimentary photoshoot session, which became one of the most memorable highlights of our trip. Our photographer was incredibly professional and patient, guiding us throughout the session and capturing many beautiful photos. In the end, I decided to purchase a photo package because the photos turned out so well and were truly worth it. The staff there were also warm, friendly, efficient, and highly responsive. There are, however, a few areas that could be improved: 1. The menu and operating schedule for Mingyue were somewhat confusing. We had planned to have dinner there one evening, only to realize that Chinese cuisine was not served on certain days and during certain hours, which required us to make alternative arrangements. 2. The soundproofing in the room could be improved, as we were able to hear our neighboring guests quite clearly even when they were speaking at normal volume. 3. The water temperature in the shower was inconsistent. Although we adjusted it to a comfortable level, the temperature would occasionally drop suddenly and become very cold. 4. Staff could perhaps be slightly more observant and proactive. On our first day, it was raining when we arrived at the room via buggy. There was no sheltered area where we alighted, so we had to stand briefly in the rain while moving our luggage. 5. The fruit platter in the room could be fresher. The apples and oranges did not seem as fresh compared to what we experienced at other hotels in Dali and Kunming. 6. Breakfast options could be expanded further. I was also hoping to find more fresh and exotic detox juices, especially ones prepared on the spot. (Similar to Bintan Banyan Tree) Despite these minor issues, our overall stay was still excellent. The scenery and views within the resort were absolutely stunning, and we especially enjoyed being able to feed the ducks and fishes. It created a very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for the family. Mingyue 的菜单及营业安排稍微有些混乱。我们原本计划某晚在那里用餐，后来才发现中餐只在特定日期和时段供应，导致我们需要临时另作安排。 2. 房间的隔音效果可以再加强一些，因为即使隔壁房客只是正常音量交谈，我们也能听得相当清楚。 3. 淋浴的水温不太稳定。虽然我们已经调到舒适温度，但水温偶尔还是会突然下降，变得非常冷。 4. 员工或许可以更主动及细心一些。我们第一天抵达房间时正好下雨，而下车的位置并没有遮雨处，因此我们在搬运行李时需要短暂淋雨。 5. 房内水果盘的新鲜度可以再提升。苹果和橙子的状态，相较于我们之前在大理及昆明入住的其他酒店，感觉没有那么新鲜。 6. 早餐选择方面可以再更加丰富一些。我也特别期待能有更多现做的新鲜排毒果汁或特色果汁。（类似Banyan Tree Bintan的安排） 尽管存在这些小问题，但整体入住体验依然非常优秀。度假村内的景色和环境真的非常漂亮，我们尤其喜欢可以喂鸭子和鱼儿的体验，让整个氛围变得格外轻松惬意，也非常适合家庭度假。未来有机会的话，我们一定还会想再次回来入住。

Best stay in Yunnan, they deserve a 10.0 rating!!! The owner has a very good taste, the rooms and common area are both well designed. Just renovated 2 years ago. None of the corners is not instagrammable. The yulong view is perfect, you can see the view from the room and common area. Never forget to mention about their service. I didn’t get the names of the receptionists (a guy and a lady), both are really friendly and helpful, love their smiles. They provide free rides to shuhe and dayan guzhen

También nos ayudó a llevar nuestro equipaje al alojamiento, ya que no se puede acceder en coche. Al estar en la ciudad antigua, solo pudimos ir andando. De regreso, nos llevaron el equipaje al punto de recogida del coche. Nos brindaron un servicio excelente. Si vuelvo a Lijiang, sin duda me alojaré aquí.

Cuando estaba investigando para mi viaje a Lijiang, me sorprendió la abrumadora oferta de B&B. Lo más importante, me sentí como en casa, y siempre podía visitar al dueño para tomar el té. El dueño recomienda restaurantes y cafeterías locales, te dice qué no comprar y dónde comprar lo que sí, e incluso te guía personalmente cuando está disponible. Una noche, incluso nos invitó a cenar (aunque luego le devolví el dinero) y me llevó a un bar de música folclórica local a las 23:00 (le ofrecí una bebida gratis). En general, alojarse en este B&B es increíblemente sencillo. Ni siquiera necesitas planificar un viaje; simplemente comenta tus ideas con el dueño y te dará sugerencias. Este B&B es una opción ideal si visitas Lijiang. Planeo quedarme un mes la próxima vez. Muy recomendable.

We enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return. Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet. Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy. Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea. Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent. Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights. Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!

Nos alojamos en este patio de una casa de huéspedes que conserva el estilo antiguo de las casas Naxi: tejas azules sobre tejas azules, ventanas de madera que reflejan las montañas lejanas y el suave tintineo de las campanillas de viento en los aleros, ligero como un sueño. Por la tarde, sacaba una silla de mimbre al patio, tomaba el sol y pelaba naranjas, viendo cómo las nubes flotaban lentamente desde las cumbres hasta los tejados. Incluso el tiempo se ralentizaba, convirtiéndose en poesía. Por la noche, me dormía arrullado por el viento de la montaña, y mis sueños se llenaban del susurro de los pinos y las estrellas. Al levantarme por la mañana y abrir la ventana, el aire fresco de la montaña nevada se mezclaba con la niebla matutina, y hasta la respiración se sentía pura. Aquí no hay bullicio, solo montañas, nubes, un patio antiguo y días que fluyen lentamente, invitándote a vivir el tiempo de forma tranquila, como un poema. ¡Un buen viaje! Lo recomiendo.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans cet hôtel et à shuhe.Le personnel est agréable. Nous tenons à remercier l'ensemble du personnel en particulier la dame qui est venue nous aider pour nos bagages . Il était tard. Nous regrettons de ne pouvoir rester plus longtemps. Merci pour le thé de l'après midi c'était beau et bon ai si que pour la soupe du soir. Quelques remarques cependant: les photos du petit déjeuner ne reflètent en rien la réalité. Il n'y avait ni fruits , ni toasts et le choix était très limité et inchangé pendant les trois jours passés. Nous n'avons donc pas pu déjeuner correctement. Pour ma part, un thé, et des morceaux de patate douce. Mon mari, des oeufs durs et un café J'ai fait remarquer la différence entre les photos du déjeuner sur le site et le vrai déjeuner. Le personnel a fait un effort et nous a apporté des gâteaux traditionnels. Merci. J'aurais espéré quelques fruits , que nous avons fini par acheter nous mêmes et du pain . Une autre remarque concernant la chambre qui était très agréable, décorée avec goût, avec un linge de lit parfaitement propre et un lit douillet. Il y a quelques traces de moisissures dans les pièces d'eau. C'est vraiment dommage. Il faudrait mettre de la faïence peut être. Autre remarque , nous aurions aimé avoir la possibilité d'utiliser une douchette dans les toilettes. Ces remarques se veulent constructives et non pas offensives. Ceci afin de permettre à l'hôtel de s'améliorer. Nous espérons que ce sera le cas pour notre prochain séjour. Merci. Bonne continuation😊.

Estabamos en Lijiang por unos días y esta era nuestra estadía por toda la duración, directamente en el centro de Oldtown en la ubicación perfecta. Desde que estuvimos allí en invierno las noches se han vuelto bastante frías, pero el calor moderno lo ha hecho caliente y acogedor.También se dan tantas comidas/tea y café. I appreciated the convenient location and service, but the misleading tour arrangements, unexpected extra charges, and poor coordination made my overall stay frustrating and disappointing. Location: The hotel is in the southern part of the Old Town, which has fewer crowds than other areas. It’s quieter, still beautiful, and easily accessible. Service: The hotel offers one complimentary train/airport pickup if arranged in advance (for 3 night stay). The staff helped carry my luggage from the South Gate (cars can’t enter the Old Town) and provided welcome fruit upon request. Breakfast was as described, though the noodles were undercooked. The staff were responsive and helped me book tickets, including a trip to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain—but this is where things went wrong. Initially, the hotel staff quoted me a reasonable price that matched my research and said the schedule was flexible, I could spend as much time as I like. When I went to book, they suddenly told me I needed to pay about 200 RMB more because I was a foreigner—something I knew wasn’t true from my experience in other cities. They also said lunch was mandatory. I was short on time and wanted convenience, so I accepted the extra charges. Although I was told that jackets, oxygen bottles, and water would be provided, the driver took me and other Chinese tourists to a store to buy additional oxygen and energy drinks at four times the normal price. There I was told the “free” oxygen bottle was too small—information the hotel hadn’t mentioned. I bought one just in case but never needed it. I booked a sunrise tour with a 5 a.m. pickup, but we didn’t actually see sunrise at the mountain—partly due to weather, partly because the schedule wasn’t designed for it. The driver took me to Blue Moon Lake first, then the cable car, and the Impression of Lijiang show last. He kept saying I was short on time, so I needed to buy an additional ticket for battery car to get around and rushed through Blue Moon Lake without knowing how long the walk should take, only to end up waiting an hour at the cable car. After the show, we were taken to lunch, which had no menu—just a very basic hot pot shared with random strangers seated at the same table. The driver texted me to hurry up because other passengers were waiting and even told me that they didn’t pay for lunch because they knew it wasn’t good. That upset me even more. Overall, I felt rushed, overcharged, and misled, and the whole experience made the trip far less enjoyable. Amenities: The amenities were as described, but there was no daily housekeeping or towel replacement.
