Desde antes de llegar a Shangri la ya nos comunicamos con el Arro Khampa, que envió un conductor a buscarnos a la estación.(También nos transportarían al dejarlo). El edificio está integrado en el centro histórico y una vez atravesado un pasaje con columnas desemboca en un patio del que salen las habitaciones. Aunque la nuestra estaba en el primer piso, La Zheng y el recepcionista y conductor 索郎安翁：康巴藏族 (lo siento, no recuerdo su nombre) nos ayudaron con el equipaje. Al llegar, La Zheng nos recibió y, en inglés, nos explicó certeramente todo lo que debíamos saber del hotel. En el Arro Khampa funciona todo bien: agua, calefacción por suelo radiante, aseo, etc. La habitación tiene encanto y unas vistas excelentes. La cama es tan cómoda que no apetece levantarse, hay un sofá con mesa baja próxima a la ventana desde el que se ven los templos.También hay un escritorio y un armario cómodo y cuidado que crean un ambiente tranquilo y cálido. Hay agua, refrescos, café soluble, té, fruta, etc y un hervidor de agua para preparar infusiones. Gran cantidad de “amenities” en el baño así como zapatillas y hasta una máquina de oxígeno (o eso me pareció). El desayuno en su recogido comedor está bien elaborado y abierto a solicitudes fuera del buffet, aunque en nuestro caso resultó suficiente: buen zumo, café de máquina automática con leche, tostadas, huevo frito con bacon, arroz frito con verduras, etc. Resumiendo, una estancia perfecta en el hotel mejor ubicado y con la atención necesaria.

Mi estancia en Banyan Tree Lijiang fue un descanso muy necesario desde el buzz y el negocio. Enfrente del espectacular fondo de Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, el resort mezcla sin salir la arquitectura tradicional de Naxi con un lujo de confort, ofreciendo una escape tranquila del azote cotidiano. De vuelta a Dali de Kuchen Foshan, elegir estancia temporal a la isla de Jinjiang. Muchas veces vine a Dali, por primera vez en la isla, este hotel es realmente la más satisfactoria. La escena del mar es inexistente, la cama es donde puede ver el mar y la paliza, las instalaciones son muy inteligentes y la higiene es muy limpia. ¡El precio es muy alto! La desayuno en el restaurante de la vista del mar también es una pequeña sorpresa.

Best stay in Yunnan, they deserve a 10.0 rating!!! The owner has a very good taste, the rooms and common area are both well designed. Just renovated 2 years ago. None of the corners is not instagrammable. The yulong view is perfect, you can see the view from the room and common area. Never forget to mention about their service. I didn’t get the names of the receptionists (a guy and a lady), both are really friendly and helpful, love their smiles. They provide free rides to shuhe and dayan guzhen

Truly beyond my expectations This hotel genuinely exceeded every expectation I had. The service was not just good the staff went above and beyond in ways that I honestly did not expect, even from a five-star hotel. Every single staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly, attentive and meticulous. You can really feel that they care about the little details and the overall guest experience. One thing that really amazed me was the cleanliness and attention to detail in the room. The shower area was spotless every single time we returned to the hotel. Even when there were water marks and spots on the shower taps and head before we left the room, we would come back to find everything sparkling clean again. It was such a small detail, but it showed just how much effort the housekeeping team puts into maintaining the room. Honestly, this is the kind of attention to detail that you don’t even always expect from a five-star hotel. What impressed me even more was how thoughtfully they considered the needs of travellers. Knowing that guests would likely spend the entire day walking and exploring Dali, the hotel thoughtfully prepared soaking basins for guests to soak their legs after a long day. After hours of walking, coming back to the hotel and having this little comfort prepared for us was such a lovely touch. It showed that they weren’t simply providing a room, they were thinking about the entire experience of their guests. The food and drinks were another pleasant surprise. Breakfast had a wonderful variety, including their homemade yoghurt and soy milk, which were both delicious. During lunchtime, they also provided coffee and tea such a thoughtful touch when you’re out exploring for the day. And dinner was another highlight. Their homemade rose vinegar and wine were such unexpected and memorable touches. Everything felt carefully prepared and had a sense of warmth and authenticity that you don’t often find in hotels. What I appreciated most was the attention to detail throughout the entire stay. From the spotless room, thoughtful amenities and food, to the genuinely warm service, you could tell that the team truly cares about their guests. After travelling and staying in different hotels, I can honestly say this stay left a very strong impression on me. The combination of exceptional service, meticulous cleanliness, thoughtful details, wonderful food and genuinely friendly staff made this hotel stand out far beyond what I expected. If I ever return to Dali, I wouldn’t even need to think twice about where to stay. This would be my first choice, without hesitation. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so comfortable, memorable and special. Esta era mi primera vez en Lijiang, y tras investigar un poco, reservé una pensión en el casco antiguo: Fuliu Inn. El dueño, Xingdi, fue increíblemente amable y hospitalario. Me recogió en la entrada del casco antiguo y me ayudó con el equipaje, llevándome hasta la pensión. La pensión está justo enfrente del Palacio Mu, por lo que es muy fácil de encontrar y está muy bien ubicada, con fácil acceso a cualquier punto del casco antiguo. La pensión en sí es tranquila y elegante, con una decoración única y acogedora. Tiene seis habitaciones en total; nos alojamos en una sección separada en la segunda planta, lo que nos garantizó una excelente privacidad. La habitación estaba totalmente equipada e impecablemente limpia, ¡lo que hizo que la estancia fuera muy cómoda! Lijiang invita a relajarse, a pasar tiempo con la familia paseando por el casco antiguo, tomando té y charlando con el dueño. Aunque mi estancia fue corta, me dejó una huella imborrable, y espero volver a Lijiang y a Fuliu Inn.

What a pleasant surprise. This small boutique hotel checked all of our boxes. Comfortable room, nice breakfast, helpful staff and to top it all off the owner spoke very good English. It is located not too deep into the alleys of the ancient town, so it is easy to walk out to the main road. The ambiance was perfect with the quiet courtyard and the breakfast/tea house providing a nice respite from the crowds and busyness of the ancient town. We would definitely book again if we were to be in Lijiang.

Este edificio te permite experimentar plenamente la atmósfera de Lijiang. Este servicio se aplica tanto al hacer el check-in como el check-out; aunque nuestra maleta era muy grande, de 71 cm (28 pulgadas), debido a nuestro largo viaje, la llevaron como si fuera algo habitual. Una de las mayores ventajas de este lugar es la amabilidad del personal. Aunque no era posible comunicarse en inglés, pudimos comunicarnos sin problemas a través de WeChat. Incluso nos ayudaron a empacar pan, leche y fruta antes de nuestra excursión matutina y nos ayudaron a pedir comida a domicilio. Siempre que teníamos preguntas sobre Lijiang, las respondían rápidamente por WeChat. El desayuno también estaba delicioso. Comimos fideos de arroz, un sabor que cualquier persona asiática disfrutaría. Como está ubicado en una zona elevada, los alrededores de Lijiang eran campos de maíz. También servían batatas y maíz, que estaban riquísimos. Además, fue agradable que un simpático gato gris visitara la entrada del alojamiento todos los días. La desventaja es que, debido a su ubicación en una zona elevada, y a que los senderos del casco antiguo de Lijiang tienen piedras y escaleras resbaladizas, además de que el propio alojamiento tiene escaleras altas, no es adecuado para recorrer el casco antiguo, especialmente durante la temporada de lluvias, para personas con problemas de rodilla o personas mayores. Sin embargo, incluso para estos huéspedes, si les asignan una habitación en una planta baja y salen por la puerta contigua del casco antiguo de Lijiang para tomar un taxi hacia el sur, donde hay mucho que ver, no debería haber problema. Dejando de lado estos inconvenientes, este alojamiento merece una alta puntuación por su personal amable, su precio razonable, su delicioso desayuno y, sobre todo, por las vistas nocturnas. Además, si vienen, no dejen de probar las naranjas del vestíbulo. Fueron las mejores naranjas que he probado en mi vida.

II recently stayed at the Guanxin Art Hotel in Shuhe Old Town, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. Tucked away in a serene corner of this charming ancient town, the hotel’s artistic design immediately captivated me—think intricate local motifs blended with modern whimsy in every corner, from the lobby’s handcrafted murals to the thoughtfully curated room accents. It’s the kind of place that feels like stepping into a living gallery. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warming welcome tea set that set a perfectly relaxed tone after our journey. And the turndown service? A cozy surprise of warmed white fungus dessert that was both indulgent and surprisingly soothing—such a unique touch that made evenings feel special. Breakfast was a highlight, served with fresh, flavorful local ingredients and Western options that catered to every craving. Everything was excellent, from the fluffy pancakes to the vibrant fruit platters, all enjoyed in a sunlit courtyard that amplified the magic. The rooms themselves were a sanctuary: lovely, plush bedding that promised (and delivered) the deepest sleep, wrapped in an ambiance that’s equal parts elegant and inviting. What truly elevated the stay was the staff—they’re a warm, efficient bunch who went above and beyond. One team member even insisted on carrying my ridiculously heavy bags up the stairs without a second thought, all with a genuine smile. And let’s talk about the hotel’s superstar resident: a massive, fluffy husky dog who’s as photogenic as he is well-behaved. He lounged gracefully by the entrance, offering tail-wags on demand but never intrusive—pure joy! One minor note: the hotel is nestled a bit deeper into the old town, so we walked about 15-20 minutes from the pickup point. But honestly, it was a lovely stroll through lantern-lit alleys, past street vendors and hidden courtyards—part of the adventure that made arriving feel earned. If you’re seeking a boutique escape that’s artistic, attentive, and utterly memorable, Guanxin Art Hotel is it.
