We stayed for 3 days in this lovely hotel, the lady running the place was really nice and helped us organising trips in the Wuyuan area. From the terrace you have a great view of the village and can take great photos. The rooms are spacious and offer everything you need. The lobby/ breakfast area has a lot of charme, since all the furniture is from another era and so the place just feels very original and homey. Even though on 2 of 3 days we were the only guests, we got a full buffet of delicious Chinese food for breakfast, including a good coffee. The organised trips with Mister Yu were such a pleasure, he showed us the best spots in the area and was a really good driver.

Our stay at the Floral Hotel in Wuyuan was lovely and unforgettable . The family that owns and manages the homestay is extremely kind and attentive. As Europeans, we were very disoriented and had lots of requests and doubts. Lily, the daughter of the family, who speaks English, helped us in any possible way and never made us feel as if we were being difficult. Her mother cooks meals with ingredients straight out of her garden and with locally farmed meat. Thanks to her, we tasted the delicious wuyuan cuisine, with homemade recipes that are far from the stereotypical dishes we eat in Europe. I can’t stress enough how beautiful the Homestay is. It is located in a small village which might not be a ticketed scenic area, but it’s extremely charming and authentic. You wake up and walk by the river where women are washing clothes by hand in the water. The village feels frozen in time. The house was built by the family’s grandfather, and is the most exquisite building we have seen throughout our trip in China. Beautifully preserved, and every corner is decorated with taste and attentiveness, even the lighting in the room is carefully curated. We stayed in December, and if you are travelling in winter we recommend the smaller room upstairs. It gets much warmer than the bigger room on the ground floor. The room is a real gem, the bed is very comfortable and the small windows overlook the characteristic roofs of the village. We will always cherish our time spent here, and we will recommend the Homestay to all our friends who will visit China, I’d say it is worth coming to Wuyuan just to stay here.

La ubicación es excelente. Está cerca de restaurantes y no muy lejos del río. Se encuentra a unos 10 minutos a pie de la parada de autobús que lleva a la estación de tren. El servicio de limpieza es excelente. Una mañana solicité la limpieza antes de tiempo y la señora vino en 20 minutos a limpiar mi habitación. El mobiliario es más que adecuado, aunque si hubiera habido una nevera pequeña, habría sido ideal, ya que hacía calor y quería tomar algo frío, pero estuvo bien. La habitación tiene muchas marcas de quemaduras de cigarrillo porque los huéspedes simplemente ignoraron el cartel de prohibido fumar, pero no es culpa del hotel. El hotel podría haber multado a los huéspedes, pero no lo hizo, por lo que probablemente el suelo seguirá dañándose o manchándose por la falta de consideración de los huéspedes. Algunos hoteles tienen una política estricta sobre fumar y un cartel de advertencia que indica que se les multará o se les cobrará una tarifa de limpieza. Este hotel aparentemente no tiene nada de eso, lo cual perjudica al propio hotel por no tener esta política. Las manchas en el suelo no me molestaron tanto, más que me pareció feo. La señora de la limpieza dijo que es común encontrar colillas de cigarrillos en el suelo. Pagué un poco más por una habitación más alejada del ascensor, ya que la más barata está prácticamente al lado.

La habitación es limpia y saneada, cerca de la calle más antigua del agua, muy cerca del centro de turistas. El entorno es muy bueno. El servicio del hotel es muy bueno, las instalaciones también son buenas, el desayuno es todavía rica, es que no hay máquina de lavar la ropa, un poco incómoda, espero que pueda mejorar.

Alguien dijo una vez: «Un buen hotel es como un encuentro breve pero ritual». Este hotel es realmente apropiado. Este edificio milenario de más de 40.000 metros cuadrados, de estilo Huizhou, de las dinastías Ming y Qing, combinado con el diseño de su jardín chino, ofrece un entorno precioso y una atmósfera pintoresca y elegante, que realza el encanto de nuestro viaje. Un agradecimiento especial a nuestra ama de llaves, Chen Yongman, por guiarnos por los jardines y los edificios antiguos. El servicio fue excepcional.

What a great hotel to stay in! The place is hygienic and lies right in the middle of the village and is right next door to the Jinsha cable car. The public terrace in the morning offers a wonderful view of the Sanqingshan. There are plenty of food options available nearby. Literally less than a minutes walk and there are some fine eateries. Service was impeccable. The individuals at the front desk including the manager were extremely polite, professional and kind. I should mention that the room I originally booked had only a skylight for a window which I was fine with. But later I decided to happily pay for an upgrade for windows. I went to the front desk and told this to the two individuals working, the manager included (see photo) and we were delightfully told that we were to be given a free upgrade to a Standard Twin Bedroom which has big windows. I can only assume it’s because the staff and manager are kind and there were not that many guests staying in the hotel at that time. Regardless, I highly recommend the place.

We had a great stay here! All the personnel was nice and attentive, we were registered pretty easily. The hotel offers a pick up service , which is quite convenient. We had a room with a skylight and a balcony, which was the best. In the morning and in the evening you can sit at the balcony and enjoy a nice view. The room is clean and the towels are changed every day. They serve Chinese style breakfast from 7 to 9, see the picture attached. Since we don't know much about local transportation, they gave us a ride to the local transportation hub where we could hop on a sightseeing bus. Once you get back from your trip in the evening, you can have a nice stroll from a busy Guling street area, it's down the hill and it takes you about 15 minutes to get back to the hotel. Overall, it was a pleasure to stay in this hotel, I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to have a real mountain view from their hotel room☺️

La habitación es fantástica, te permite experimentar el encanto de un pueblo antiguo. Desde la ventana puedes disfrutar de las hermosas vistas de Huangling sin salir. La habitación es rústica y tiene mucho encanto, y cuenta con todas las comodidades. El gran salón de abajo es perfecto para tomar té, relajarse y charlar, mientras que en la planta de arriba puedes practicar caligrafía o admirar desde la ventana las montañas lejanas, los campos en terrazas y la vista panorámica de Huangling. Cada rincón de la habitación está decorado con mucho esmero, es muy tranquila y descansamos de maravilla. Si vienes a un pueblo antiguo, alojarte en una casa tradicional con historia como esta es imprescindible. La inmersión es total, te sientes transportado a la vida cotidiana de una familia noble de hace cientos de años, y las fotos quedan espectaculares.
