Everyone is nice. But staff needs to know more about the area and places that we asked they have no clue.
Linens and towels needs to be replaced when the color is almost brown instead of white. Its a very old hotel We had to call to replaced our pillows because its smells like old sweat. We were so excited that its beach front not until they told us the water is not recommended for swimming. We had to go to another island and pay. We were disappointed with that.Breakfast buffet is good.

We stayed at Crown Regency Residences for a week, and overall it was a great choice—especially for budget travelers with kids. One of the biggest highlights was the unlimited pool access until 10 PM every day, which our family really enjoyed. It made a huge difference in keeping the kids entertained without needing to go out and spend extra.
The place offers hotel-like service, and the staff were consistently helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. While the building itself does show its age and could use some updates, it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
If you’re traveling as a family and looking for something affordable with good amenities, this is definitely a place worth considering. Despite its older appearance, I would still choose to stay here again for a budget-friendly family trip.

Great hotel! Stayed for 1 night to give the hotel a try. Was pretty satisfied so we went back for another night after our island trip. Service was superb, from reception, bellboys and breakfast attendants. Breakfast tasted good, and there were various dishes to choose from.

I had a really pleasant stay at the Park Inn by Radisson. As a solo traveler, I felt safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. The room was clean, modern, and surprisingly spacious, and the bed was very comfortable after a long day out. The staff were friendly and always ready to help, and the breakfast had a nice variety. The location was convenient for getting around, which made exploring the area easy. Overall, a smooth and satisfying stay—would definitely return!

El hotel es muy limpio y hermoso. El único descenso fue que no había ascensor, así que viajar con un bebé y un caminador era difícil. Delivers in all the ways it promised. This is my third time staying here and it's quickly becoming my go to stay when I'm in Davao.
Location? Chef's kiss. It's located right in the heart of the city. It's only a couple hundred meters from Abreeza and one jeepney ride away from the other malls (GMall, SM Lanang and SM Ecoland). Check-in is convenient and quick.
The unit itself has been very clean in the three times I've been there. Guests check out regularly so the room usually gets cleaned daily. Privacy hasn't been an issue with the privacy curtains. I really appreciate the study space as well, particularly the chair. It's a very comfortable chair. Airconditioner is working perfectly. There's a balcony if you need to hang clothes out in the sun. Favorite place in the room is the bathroom. Clean bathroom with a bidet, plus heated shower and faucet.
Of course, there are trade offs in the sense that you don't have absolute privacy and you have to tread lightly for other guests which is expected for the price. Absolutely best value for money in all the places I've stayed at in the city.

JJunny LynneWe recently stayed at Discovery Samal, and overall, it was a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.
The resort itself is beautiful—clean, modern, and well-maintained. We really loved our room and the amenities; everything felt comfortable and high-quality. The beach and pool areas are also great for unwinding.
That said, there are a few things to note. It was very hot during the daytime, and even the reception area (with fans only) felt quite warm.
We first went to Malabar Lounge for drinks while waiting, and later tried the billiards to pass the time. We went back to the reception twice to follow up, but the room still wasn’t ready. We understood since check-in is at 3 PM, but we were told they would call once it was ready—and we didn’t receive any call. It might be because the signal is weak in some areas (there’s no signal inside the billiard room).
If we hadn’t gone back to the reception at 3 PM, we honestly wouldn’t know what time we would have been allowed to check in. The check-in process itself also took a bit long, and we were only settled into our room around 3:30 PM.
Also, since it’s a luxury hotel, food and drinks are expectedly on the expensive side.
Despite these, we still had a great stay. The place is perfect for relaxing, and we truly enjoyed the experience overall. We’d still love to come back—maybe next time with family.

MMs. HayleyFrom the moment we arrived at Dusit Thani Residence Davao, we felt welcomed and well-taken care of. The lobby, though modest in size, exuded a calm charm and the check-in process was smooth. We were greeted warmly by staff who treated us with genuine hospitality — their attentiveness set the tone for our entire stay. Many previous guests also praised the staff’s politeness and readiness to help. 
We stayed in a studio apartment, and it was nothing short of comfortable. The room came with a kitchenette, a coffee/tea maker, minibar, and free WiFi — extremely convenient whether you’re staying briefly or planning a longer stay.  The modern fittings and thoughtful layout made it easy to relax or be productive: there was enough space to move around, and everything was clean and well-kept. Cleanliness, indeed, stood out during our stay — a point frequently echoed by other guests. 
One of the highlights was the leisure amenities. We took full advantage of the outdoor swimming pool — a serene little oasis perfect for a morning dip or evening unwind. The fitness centre, spa, and wellness offerings added to the sense of pampering. For those traveling with kids or family, there’s even a kids’ pool and a family-friendly vibe. 
Breakfast and dining at the hotel also deserve special mention. The buffet breakfast was generous and satisfying — a great way to start a busy day in Davao. For lunch or dinner, the on-site restaurant served a mix of Thai, Asian, international, and European dishes, giving a variety that could cater to different tastes and dietary preferences.  The presence of a café and even a pastry/deli option made it easy to grab a light meal or snack without leaving the property. 
Location is another strong suit for Dusit Thani Residence. It’s conveniently located near the airport, which is a big plus if you have early flights or late arrivals.  At the same time, it’s still close enough to city amenities, shopping, and other attractions — offering both convenience and comfort. Many guests appreciated this balance of accessibility and tranquility. 
That said, no stay is perfect, and a few aspects could be improved. Some guests mentioned that certain rooms felt a bit cramped or that balcony areas were under-utilized due to cleanliness concerns.  There were occasional gripes about maintenance — for example, shower drains draining slowly or small furniture quirks — and a few found the elevator access between towers a bit awkward, especially if coming from parking.  A minority even felt the place fell short of 5-star expectations in certain respects. 
Still, for us, these were minor blemishes compared to the overall positive experience. What stood out was how the hotel blends comfort, convenience, and courteous service with enough extras to feel like more than just a “place to sleep.” The pool, spa, and kitchen-equipped rooms make it a strong choice for families, couples, business travellers — essentially anyone who values a balance of luxury and practicality.
In conclusion: if you’re looking for a stay in Davao that offers more than just four walls — a place that feels both refined and welcoming — Dusit Thani Residence Davao delivers. Its attentive staff, well-appointed rooms, great amenities, and strategic location combine into a memorable experience. For those planning a trip to Davao, whether quick or extended, this hotel is a solid bet.

UUsuario invitadoHa estado abierto durante mucho tiempo y nunca he tenido la oportunidad de venir aquí. De repente descubrí que el precio de las vacaciones es bastante bueno. Pero el muelle está demasiado lejos. Se tarda más de una hora en coche desde Davao. porque el barco es un poco caótico. No hay ningún orden. Siento quién es más rápido y quién llega allí. Pensé que era Dokdo, pero no me lo esperaba. He designado algunos hoteles en la isla, pero el La gestión de Dusit sigue siendo buena. AACVSantosLa granja Pearl es como un paraíso. Todo es agradable a los ojos y al tobillo! Lechon está disponible cada noche. El personal es muy amable, acomodable y rápido para responder a cada petición.
Mi única queja es su respuesta a los medios sociales, teléfonos y correo electrónico, que responden muy lentamente o nada.
1. He pedido una transferencia desde el Discovery Samal Welcome Center a su Marina Wharf. Dijeron que enviarán un camión a las 1:00 pero no había ningún. He seguido a través de viaje dot com mensajes, no respuesta. He llamado su número móvil, se rechazó! Nos apresuraron porque necesitamos estar en su caja antes de las 2 pm por su instrucción. Nada. Buena cosa podíamos pedir a la tripulación de Discovery Samal que nos llevara a Marina Wharf.
2. La transferencia de barco de la nave a la resort fue cancelada debido a grandes ondas. Entiendo. Se nos dijo que viajaríamos por tierra. ¡Rodeamos un camión, encajado para ser transferido por RORO (sí, la transferencia de barco) que nos llevó 2 horas de freaking justo para encajar!! La zona de la ciudad es un lugar donde se encuentran los pasajeros de la ciudad. ¿Estamos en un resort de 5 estrellas, pero no pueden hacer nada para que la espera/alineamiento en el RORO sea un poco más rápido?? Vi al conductor pagar 20/passenger por montar el RORO (no verificado). ¿No puedes pagar un poco más por una pista rápida o algo parecido? Idk! Sólo rly desilusionado bcos que viajamos con un 3 años de edad! Claro que les envié un mensaje sobre este e-mail y sí, no respondieron de nuevo.
La habitación está muy bien, pero no hay nada que pueda hacer.

UUsuario invitadoAt first check-in we had an issue with our room. The room looked very old and dated the air-conditioning wasn’t working and the Wi-Fi was non-existent. I raised a complaint to 8 am the next morning. It took two 8 pm to follow the same day for them to rectify this and move as to another room. This room was outstanding. The air-conditioning was working. It was modern better looking not as tight as the other room, there was room either side of the bed to get in as the other room you could only get in one side of the bed as the bed was against the wall so this new room was a lot better. The only issue with the Hotel was the Wi-Fi was extremely rubbish non-existent would be the better word but this was the only issue that we had in our day. Everything else was perfect from the cleanliness to the staff and the buffet breakfast was acceptable just not much choice for the Western pallet but for a Filipino it was okay

YYkhca_TravelsWe arrived a bit late on our first night and were accommodated poorly. After a long day of travel, we encountered several issues with our room arrangements. I had booked two rooms, expecting them to be close to each other, but that was not the case. As a family travelling together, we requested to have our rooms swapped to be nearer, yet we were only allowed to add an extra bed. This was not ideal, especially since my mom couldn't stay alone in a room meant for 6 to 8 people, which I had already paid for.
When I spoke to the front desk, who I believe was the manager on duty at the time, her tone was unpleasing and lacked empathy for us as guests. It was a disappointing negotiation. We also discussed issues with the internet connection, and she seemed unyielding, suggesting that nothing could be done except to pay for a data plan, for which they would provide a modem.
Having stayed at many hotels and being a hotel manager, I can clearly say that our service was inadequate.

El hotel está bien mantenido y todo se sentía organizado y acogedor. La comida también fue excelente, con una gran variedad de opciones que se ocupaban de diferentes sabores.
En general, mi experiencia fue excelente, y yo daría definitivamente un rating 5-star Acacia Hotel Davao.
