Our stay at this hotel during our recent Siargao trip was truly a wonderful and memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, whose friendliness, professionalism, and attentiveness made us feel comfortable throughout our entire stay. The hotel itself is newly opened, and it shows in the excellent condition and cleanliness of the property. The rooms were exceptionally clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, providing a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere after long days of exploring the island. We also appreciated the quality amenities provided, which added to the overall comfort and convenience of our stay. One of the highlights of this hotel is its stunning location. The breathtaking sea view combined with the beautiful view of Cloud 9 created a peaceful and scenic environment that truly captured the charm of Siargao. They even prepared a small suprise for me since we arrived on the day of my birthday. We booked the Rattan Villa for five people, and it was incredibly spacious. There was more than enough room for everyone to move around comfortably. We also had restful nights—the beds were so soft and comfortable that it felt like sleeping in a five-star hotel. The resort has a peaceful and relaxing ambiance. Although there was some ongoing construction during our stay, it wasn't a major issue since we were out most of the day for our island activities, and the work had already stopped by the time we returned each afternoon. We also enjoyed dining at their restaurant. The food was delicious, and we appreciated that the chef personally came over to ask how we liked our meals. My only suggestion would be to add more menu options, as the resort is quite far from restaurants and convenience stores. Having a wider selection would be especially helpful for guests staying several days. The staff were all friendly, accommodating, and approachable. They assisted us with everything we needed before, during, and even after our stay, making us feel well taken care of. Tuve una estadía increíble en Siargao Island Villas. La ubicación era perfecta, el ambiente era fantástico y el personal era realmente amable y servicial. Amy en la recepción fue absolutamente encantadora y servicial. El spa también fue genial, lo único fue que nuestro masaje comenzó a las 9:30 a pesar de que nuestra cita era para las 9:00. La habitación era muy cómoda y espaciosa, definitivamente vale la pena el dinero gastado. La única mejora sería tener sábanas que no tengan manchas. En general, tuve una estancia estupenda y me alojaré aquí de nuevo al 100%. Lo recomiendo altamente.

Beautiful hotel, but as a new hotel they are poorly unorganised and many amenities are still yet to be completed. Couldnt vook the meeting rooms. The internet in the rooms always dropped out amd very unreliable to do business meetimgs, I had to rum team calls down near reception. Inconvenient!. ,I stayed in 3 different rooms and woke up to no hot water for a shower more than twice. Poor comtrols in place to ensure a customer room is ready and functioning. The food is probably great for locals but not for westerners. Many advertised meals they simply dont have. Great poolside, but no outside bar, or aloud to have a drink in the pool area. I will be a regular business visitor to Butuan during 2025 and therefore looking for a decent place that has a variety of food and reliable internet. Didn't fins it here.

Yummy bfast..but the music is too loud during the ongoing event, we cannot sleep properly..i hope you will make the room sound proof..but other than that our stay is quite excellent

Kalipay is conveniently located along the main road, walking distance from CEV (the best ceviche in Siargao) and Happiness Bar (best happy hour deal). The resort is quiet, has a nice pool and the rooms are clean. The staff are amazing — friendly, accommodating and extra helpful. The receptionist, Kim, took really good care of us.

Pros: • hotel is new, they only opened last August • room was very spacious • beds, pillows, comforter were very comfortable • bathroom was very spacious with complimentary toothbrushes, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner • airconditioning was superb • room has a balcony (that we didn’t use) Cons • because it’s new, apparently their how shower has not been installed yet. But they provide hot water from the kitchen and will bring to the room in a pail 😂 • location is not ideal as it is a good 10-minute walk on a dirt road to get to the main tourism road • breakfast wasn’t impressive. The tapa and the tocino were tough. All in all, it’s still value for money. The entries crew were very friendly and accommodating. And I will still consider staying there next time.

Everything was great. Prime location and you can escape to the beach in just a few steps. Kudos to receptionist Jem and guard Kuya Mike fas they’re very accommodating and friendly all throughout my stay. I wish there were signages on closing the door slowly though as some foreigners dont mind their own manners when sharing quarters. Some throw their tissues in the toilet and dont tend to flush it, not sure if it’s their culture but something Mad Monkey has no control over. Bonus points on having a lot of bathroom to choose from. They also offer FREE SHOTS at the bar during night party. I booked the bunk through Trip.com for only 648 pesos. When I tried yo extend my stay, it’ll cost me more than 3 times more. So book ahead at trip.com for cheaper prices.

A great hostel for socialising! Lots of people from all over the world, large rooms and a great overall vibe. They have comedy nights, bingo, karaoke and more. We really enjoyed our stay here. They also have motorcycle rental for around 400-500 pesos a day. Would highly recommend!
