I will start my review by saying the staff were very helpful and can only work with what they have. Our check in was fine but on getting to our room it was like a fridge and the heating was very poor and even after being on for an hour or more was barely warm. We had to get a connector heater which was broken!! We had to prop it up with part of the hair dryer. The draft at the window was like a gale force wind. The room was well showing its age there was no mirror over the dressing table/desk. And the curtains were thread bare. The swimming pool was OK but the steam room and jacuzzi was not working. I was expecting a lot more from a mercury hotel. We were very disappointed.

Negative points from our stay I travelled with my 11 year old grandson, I booked us a twin room, which we got. Unfortunately, the room was an adjoining room to a double and the ”activity” noises from the other room were so bad that we checked out at 11pm as I didn't want my grandson to have to experience that. It literally sounded like they were in the room with us. I would perhaps suggest that in the future you look at your guest list and unless adjoining rooms are with the same party, where children are in a twin, look to accommodate the couple in another part of the hotel where possible. I was disappointed that we were expected to pay £5 each to use the pool as I have never stayed at an hotel where it is not included in the room price. Positive All the staff were really friendly and helped as much as they could. The night Duty Manager was especially helpful and empathetic to my room dilemma but was unable to find us an alternative twin room, only a double which was not appropriate for us. We ate in the bar and the food was exceptional although a little pricey. The location was good and the hotel was easy to find. Be careful when you leave as there are two speed bumps on the exit, and no matter how slow you are going, it feels and sounds like your cars insides are dropping out. Rooms were spotless and beds very comfortable.

Location & car park 🚗: This hotel is in a central location and can be accessed from the road that leads in and out of St Helens. There is a car park with lots of spaces. It is free for guests but make sure you register your registration using the touchscreen in the reception area. Room 🛏: The room was a decent size and had tea and coffee making facilities. The bed is comfortable although the pillows were a bit soft for me. The air conditioning worked really well which is always a positive ❄️. The room had everything you'd expect: TV, fridge, safe, iron etc. The room was totally silent and I couldn't hear any noise from outside. Restaurant 🍽: I only accessed the restaurant for breakfast which was a buffet with hot and cold choices. Not the most extensive menu options but the hot food was cooked very well, was warm and fresh and if you like a cooked breakfast is worth paying for.

Me alojé en este hotel durante tres días cuando vine a Liverpool esta vez. En cuanto a higiene, las fundas de almohadas, sábanas y toallas de baño tenían todas manchas sucias y puntos amarillos. Realmente no concordaba con ser un hotel de 5 estrellas (aunque nos las cambiaron inmediatamente cuando las solicitamos). Segundo, pasó que el camarero dejó la toalla en la habitación después de limpiar la habitación. Le devolvimos la toalla y se la llevamos sin disculparnos ni nada. Se recomienda traer sus propias sábanas y fundas de almohada cuando viaje al extranjero. La calidad de los hoteles de cinco estrellas demuestra que los estándares de limpieza o aceptación de muchos artículos no están a la altura. Pero el ambiente para cenar en el vestíbulo del hotel u1s1 es muy hermoso y el servicio y la actitud en el vestíbulo son muy buenos. Bueno

El hotel está en una ubicación excelente y está perfectamente limpio y las zonas comunes son grandes y el desayuno es grande. No obstante, pagamos un poco más por una habitación con buena vista, pero no había mini frigorífico en la habitación, no hay lugar para colgar toallas, la habitación misma era increíblemente básica para el precio. El spa no se mantuvo muy limpio, no vi a nadie alrededor haciendo nada en el propio spa y estaba muy ocupado debido a la mitad de tiempo. Todas las cajas están bien, pero por el dinero que esperamos más.

The spa was nice, but the bed had bed bugs, and I got bitten. The shower didn’t have a handheld option, and the water pressure was poor. I checked in at 11 AM, which was fine, but when we returned at 9 PM, I mentioned to the reception that we needed the beds split, but that never happened. The manager came over and started complaining. I reminded him that our request had been confirmed in the morning. He was a bit temperamental at first, but it calmed down when I asked for an extra duvet.

Beautiful location, lovely hotel. Staff were helpul and friendly. Nothing was too much of a trouble. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The spa is amazing and the treatments were reasonably priced. Food was very good. Would reccommend and would stay there again!

The room is nice, tidy and comfortable! There are Starbucks, hotel-run restaurant and pub which is very convenient to travelers!
