La habitación era muy tranquila, y nos sorprendió gratamente encontrar una barrera de cama y fruta de bienvenida, ¡además de un pequeño detalle! El personal, tanto chicas como chicos, fue muy amable y servicial. El desayuno también estaba bien, con una buena variedad de actividades y opciones. A nuestro bebé le encantaron la piscina de bolas y el trenecito. El hotel tiene unas vistas preciosas y nos hicieron un upgrade gratuito a una habitación deluxe con dos camas. Lo único es que está un poco lejos de la playa; estaría genial si tuvieran un servicio de transporte para los huéspedes del hotel.

Inicialmente me alojé aquí durante 3 noches para la Fase 1 de la Feria de Cantón y decidí regresar para la Fase 2. Me hospedé en el Hotel Merlinhod debido al gran tamaño de las habitaciones, que eran realmente espaciosas, ordenadas y limpias. Llegué tarde, alrededor de las 2:30 a. m., y recibí un excelente servicio: me asignaron mi habitación y recogieron un par de paquetes que había pedido a mi proveedor. This has been our most memorable stay to date. The homestay is run by a warm and welcoming boss together with a team of genuinely kind staff. We were a group of 10 with both elderly and young children, so we needed quite a bit of assistance and I truly appreciate how the staff went out of their way to help us whenever they could. Their patience and kindness made our stay exceptionally comfortable. One of the highlights was having our own private hot spring tub right in our room in a cooling weather. We could enjoy it anytime we liked, and the water comes directly from the mountain, such a rare and amazing experience! We also fell in love with the beautiful, scenic environment. My parents and I enjoyed the peaceful, village-style setting, while my kids absolutely adored the little pet zoo, especially the friendly dog. Even now, back in Singapore, they still talk about how much they miss the place. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of delicious food available nearby, and the convenience of ordering through online platforms made mealtimes even easier. From the homestay, you can even see the magnificent Bai Shui Zhai Waterfall, the largest in the area which is only a 5–10 minute drive away. We managed to hike the mountain on our second day, and it was an unforgettable experience. Overall, this stay exceeded all our expectations, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again.

El B&B está en una pequeña isla, rodeado de frondosos bosques de bambú, con mucho espacio para actividades. Se puede pescar desde el balcón y admiten mascotas. Hay varios alojamientos en Yangchou Bay Garden, Nan'ao, con Hidden Villa Inn ubicado en la Unidad B del Edificio 19. Location: 5/5 – Absolutely Strategic! The biggest strength of this hotel is its unbeatable location. You’re steps away from McDonald's and Luckin Coffee for quick bites and caffeine. A well-stocked mall is right beside the hotel, making it super easy to grab daily necessities. The best part? A lively night market is directly opposite the hotel! This makes finding delicious, affordable local food incredibly convenient any time of the evening. The whole area is very 热闹 (rènào - bustling/energetic) – perfect if you want to be in the heart of the action. Cleanliness: 3/5 – Okay for the Price, Manage Expectations The general cleanliness is acceptable, if you adjust your expectations. It's definitely not a 5-star luxury experience, but for a budget/mid-range stay, it's passable and reasonably maintained. Don't expect immaculate perfection, but the basics are covered. Room & Atmosphere: 2/5 – Persistent Smoke Smell The major downside, especially in the rooms and hallways, is a strong and pervasive smoke smell. It's quite noticeable and doesn't dissipate easily. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common issue in many hotels within the region, but it's definitely present and unpleasant here if you're sensitive to it. Breakfast: 1/5 – Strongly Not Recommended / Unhygienic Avoid the breakfast option. Hygiene standards here are very poor. I personally observed small cockroaches crawling on the tables in the breakfast area. This is completely unacceptable and a major health red flag. Do yourself a favor and skip it entirely. Thankfully, with McDonald's, Luckin, the mall food court, and the fantastic night market opposite, you have plenty of much better (and cleaner) alternatives nearby. Overall: This hotel is all about the location, location, location. If being in a super convenient, vibrant area with easy access to food, coffee, and shopping is your top priority, and you're on a budget, it serves that purpose. The cleanliness is tolerable for the category. However, the strong smoke smell in the rooms and corridors is a significant drawback, and the breakfast is dangerously unhygienic (cockroach sighting confirmed). Choose this hotel for the prime spot if you can tolerate the smoke and definitely plan to eat breakfast elsewhere. Who should stay: Budget-conscious travelers prioritizing an unbeatable, lively location who aren't sensitive to smoke smells and will skip the hotel breakfast. Who should avoid: Families with young children, travelers sensitive to smoke, those prioritizing high cleanliness standards, or anyone planning to eat the hotel breakfast.

This is our second time staying at this hotel, it’s location is just perfect for us, the view is so good, the room is very clean, the front door reception staffs and the house keepers provided very good service and quickly responded to our request. And you can enjoy delicious Cantonese food at the top floor for the breakfast. My son loves this hotel so much. You can shop around in the nearby shipping center and find various delicious foods. We highly recommended it to all visitors to stay.
