¡Una estancia increíble! La anfitriona respondió rápidamente a mis preguntas a través de Trip.com o WeChat (ambas aplicaciones tienen traductor integrado). Me recogió en la parada de autobús (autobús n.º 34 desde Tianshui) y me llevó hasta la entrada del parque natural. Tras registrarme, me acompañó hasta la taquilla de las grutas y luego subió hasta la entrada. Incluso se ofreció a recogerme de nuevo después de visitar las grutas, pero decidí volver andando a la casa de huéspedes (un agradable paseo cuesta abajo de unos 1,5 km con buen tiempo). Al día siguiente me dejó de nuevo en la parada de autobús (no muy lejos, a unos 1,2 km, se puede ir andando). La habitación es fantástica: fresca, wifi rápido, hervidor de agua, ducha con agua caliente y mantas gruesas. En resumen, fue una experiencia maravillosa alojarme allí y disfrutar de todo lo que ofrecen las Grutas de Maijishan. Sin duda, recomendaré esta casa de huéspedes a cualquier amigo que quiera visitar este parque natural.

I stayed in this hostel for a total of 5 nights, with two breaks when I went on tours outside of Lanzhou. I have put in reviews earlier, so this is my final for the hostel that had begun to feel like Home. The hostel itself is very comfortable a stay: clean, comfortable wide bed with sliding door for privacy, nice seating areas... It is run by a family who take turns staying over so that there is 24 hour reception. All are friendly and kind, especially the father. The parents don't speak English but you can easily use a translation app; other guests will probably interact with you. The location: it is situated about a 5 minute walk to the Yellow River Tower, and a further 10 minute walk to the Lanzhou Old Street area where there is an amazing array of food options. Just outside the hostel is a Halal (Muslim-run) restaurant called (Ruhua 如华）which the hostel owners say have been in operation for 20 or 30 years. The hand-pulled (手抓) mutton that I had there was fantastic, even though I am typically not a mutton eater --- the taste is a delicate and balanced mix of light spices (I could taste a hint of ginger, for example) and saltiness. And the 八宝茶 is also excellent. A 7 minute walk to the right after exiting the hostel (past the above -mentioned restaurant) to the main road where many buses ply, you will find another good mix of local food options, especially in the morning. The hostel is conveniently located near the Lanzhou West railway station. There is a bus 136 that runs just outside the hostel and gets you to the railway station in 20 minutes. Hope this helps someone deciding on where to stay in Lanzhou, since there doesn't seem such a good range of hostels. I stayed in one of the tents on the top floor of the hotel. The tents are set up quite nicely, conducive to a feeling of privacy -- they're located in a quiet, separate room with its own common area, and are remarkably spacious. The hotel owners are also incredibly friendly, and I was grateful for their help. The one substantially negative aspect of this stay was the bathroom for the tents. While the tents were located on the top (fourth) floor, their assigned bathroom was located in a closet space under the bottom of the stairs below the first floor (that is, at vertically opposite ends of the building!). Not only was this bathroom closet-sized, but it also felt like a closet inside: it was equipped with only a squat toilet and an old, stained sink with a crude plastic faucet, and various empty bottles and mechanical equipment seemed to also be stored inside. There was no shower, no hooks or places to hang up anything like a towel, and no lock on the door. Fortunately, one of the hotel owners offered that I could temporarily use the bathroom (with a shower etc.) of one of the normal hotel rooms on the third floor while it was vacant. However, it seems like the massive difference in bathroom quality between the bathroom assigned to the tents and the bathrooms for normal rooms is greater than the modest difference in price between the two room types would merit. A few small changes -- better cleaning, a door lock, some hooks, maybe a shower head -- would substantially improve the bathroom experience for the tents. Otherwise I would at least advise potential guests to be conscious before reserving a tent space.

Nos alojamos dos noches en Dunhuang. El alojamiento está muy cerca de la entrada principal de la montaña Mingsha. El B&B está en el pueblo. Aunque el camino de acceso es un poco estrecho, el patio es espacioso. Un pequeño sendero junto al B&B lleva directamente a la entrada de la zona panorámica. Las entradas para la montaña Mingsha ahora son válidas por tres días. La anfitriona fue muy amable e incluso nos regaló un melón. También hay un peral en el patio, que es muy dulce.

Awesome accommodation with amazing and welcoming hosts who are also very helpful and give good guides and tips on the region. It has a B&B style and vibe but no breakfast, although there is a fridge with some basic drinks and fruits, etc. It is a renovated house and has a very homely feel and is pretty close to the crescent lake spring with lots of restaurants and stores nearby. If you want to have an authentic local experience, I highly recommend staying here.They are also supportive and accessible via WeChat for any queries during your stay.

The hotel staff especially staff 005, 006 and 007 are very helpful. They helped us to find transport to Lianyuan Station which is 130km away from city. Really need to thanks them as we are running short of time. Overall the room is clean and bed is comfortable.
