A Last-Minute Getaway That Turned Out So Well! 🥰 We booked a Deluxe King Room for 3 days 2 nights at the last minute, and honestly, we didn’t even bring any clothes or prepare anything! 😂 Luckily, there were still some malls open, so we managed to shop for everything we needed there. The best part? 🥹 When we arrived at Thistle, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a Thistle Suite! What a blessing. ❤️ This was actually our second stay at Thistle, mainly because our little one absolutely loves swimming in the pool. 🏊🏻♀️ The hotel is also great because it has easy access to the beach, making it perfect for a relaxing family getaway. The breakfast was delicious, and there are also plenty of food options around the hotel. For lunch, we tried Dapo Cikgu, and the food was really good! For dinner, we went to Dusun Pakdin. It’s a little further in, but the place was beautiful and the food was definitely worth the drive. 🌿🍽️ Overall, this turned out to be such a wonderful and spontaneous vacation. To start off, the cleanliness, location, and amenities was alright. The shops are around 10 minutes away (by car) from the resort. My main feedback is on the service. The bellman is not functional. There are two bellman (i’m assuming they work by shift) When we arrived (@1:50pm), the first bell man took a while to come out and help us with our bags. I even had to carry the heavy bags by myself. He didn’t really provide any assistance. Next, when we checked out (@7:30 am), the second bellman didn’t even help us. Instead, he watches over us at his station while we carry the heavy bags. Mind you, there were empty carts available. None of them is filled with bags or any luggages. What is the slope at the entrance even for besides to cater for wheelchair users and baby strollers??? I had to push the door with my own body while carrying the heavy bags. He doesn’t even provide assistance to open the door! How ridiculous! Funnily enough, the only time I saw him walk out of the door is to get his food delivery. I believe there was a lack of supervision. From the surroundings, I noticed there were korean writings here and there, indicating that the hotel has a bunch of travellers from korea. For a hotel with a service like this, it doesn’t really meet the international standard does it? I hope there is an improvement in terms of the service. Thank you.

The location is beautiful and peaceful. The hotel is gorgeous and very family friendly. I really appreciate how helpful and kind the staff are. The food was delicious too. Lurve! Love the kids' pool coz it’s safe and shallow, so the kids can enjoy the slide and swim on their own without parents having to carry them all the time. The only thing is the rooms and furniture could use a bit of an upgrade as they feel a bit dated. But overall, I loved my stay here. The staff really made the experience special❤️

Everything was really good during my stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made the stay very pleasant. The hotel location was convenient, and the overall environment was nice and relaxing. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful whenever I needed assistance. Check-in and check-out were smooth and easy as well. Overall, I had a great experience staying here and was happy with the service provided. Este resort es increíble y una experiencia fantástica. Es una visita obligada en Malasia. Si aún no has ido a Dubái, este lugar es una buena opción. El ambiente es ideal para parejas. El servicio es excelente y el desayuno buffet ofrece una gran variedad de opciones. Me gusta la habitación con vista al mar porque da directamente a las vistas ilimitadas.

At first because of low occupancy but they try to do buffet breakfast for us and the sauna above a year never open but finally they on for us to use and it functions well. Beside sauna have jacuzzi seem dirt on it n long time not been used.

Our family really enjoyed our stay, especially the two children, who absolutely loved the water park. We are also grateful for the warm welcome from the reception staff. The hotel room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was satisfactory. However, I would like to share some feedback regarding a few areas that could be improved. Dinner at the Restaurant The dinner service was quite slow, and unfortunately, we found the food and drinks disappointing. In our opinion, the quality did not meet the standard we would expect from a 4-star hotel. We are sorry to say that we felt the food and drinks were even below the standard of some local mamak restaurants. Considering the quality and our overall dining experience, we also found the prices rather expensive. Unfortunately, the hotel is quite far from town. As the restaurant was recommended by our tour guide, we decided to have dinner at the hotel instead of travelling elsewhere. However, the experience was quite disappointing, and we hope the hotel can improve the food quality and service in the future. Water Park Customer Service Another concern was our experience with the customer service staff at the water park. We had a total of six guests staying in the room, and five of us went to the pool. When we requested five towels, the staff refused and informed us that each room was only entitled to four towels, rather than providing towels based on the number of guests. We were quite surprised by this arrangement. We were not requesting extra towels unnecessarily; we simply hoped to have one towel per person so that everyone could dry themselves properly after swimming. It would be helpful if the hotel could reconsider this policy, as guests should not be expected to return to their rooms soaking wet. Unfortunately, the staff member's attitude also made the situation less pleasant, as she appeared impatient and unhelpful when we asked for clarification about the policy. Apart from this particular experience, the other hotel staff were very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Overall, our family enjoyed the stay, and we hope the hotel will take this feedback constructively and use it to improve the dining experience and customer service in the future.

The room was generally comfortable, but there are a few areas that could be improved. The toiletries provided were incomplete, as items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste were not available. Parking is also quite limited, especially on weekends, and some guests may end up parking in a way that blocks part of the road. Additionally, there were quite a lot of mosquitoes in the room, although the electric mosquito repellent is provided but the mosquito's spray would be more helpful. Hopefully, these issues can be addressed to improve the overall guest experience.

El personal es, en general, educado y amable. Nos sentimos muy bienvenidos desde el momento del aparcamiento hasta el registro y durante toda la estancia. La habitación es estupenda. La piscina es bonita. A los niños les encanta. La vista es relajante. La comida es buena. Sobre todo en el lugar donde se alquila una bicicleta, el personal es muy amable y atento. Mi hijo no sabe montar en bicicleta, pero el personal nos ayudó y nos guió con paciencia. ¡Buen trabajo! El paseo en buggy es muy práctico y no hay que caminar mucho. Simplemente quédate y relájate. Sin duda volveremos.

El personal de recepción entendió mi pobre inglés y malayo y me explicó todo detalladamente. Fue una pena que el restaurante no tuviera bufé los días de semana, pero todo estaba delicioso. Sin embargo, había muchos carteles de reservas en el aparcamiento, pero no sabía cómo hacer una reserva.
