We had two rooms booked. 1 room was with elederly parents! The room given was a fair walk and was quite far from the reception area with no assistance only verbal directions. It would've been nice to have had some assistance from staff. When we got to the room the sink plughole was blocked so I rang reception to get it fixed, didn't happen! Questioned reception duty staff and he lied and he said he had it fixed by maintenance when no one even came to look at it! This isn't the service we expected from ‘Mercure’ standard. Leaning over the bath to brush our teeth and everytime we needed to wash our hands after using the toilet we had to use the bathtub. Not sure I read anywhere but to use the swimming facilities the adults have to pay £10 fee. Other than that the hotel is near local shops/motorway as well.

En general, fue una experiencia sorprendente, además de algunos problemas menores. **Positivo: ** 1. La ubicación era buena, aunque se trataba de una corta caminata de la ciudad. El desayuno fue delicioso y ofreció una amplia variedad de opciones para elegir. 3. El ambiente del hotel es agradable, con una agradable recepción y un área de lobby. 4. La habitación incluye una caja fuerte donde puede almacenar elementos valiosos como su laptop y tableta para una protección adicional. ** negativos: ** 1. No se había vaciado el baño después de limpiar, y se olvidaron de sustituir el rollo de tejido adicional en el baño, lo que era incómodo. 2. No había pantalones ni tejidos faciales en la habitación. 3. El bar estaba muy tranquilo, y nos aburrieron tanto que no volvimos a visitar.

Nice old style grand hotel & well situated. Reception area is nice but check in was slow. I had rung & requested adjacent rooms - allocated rooms 132 & 134 presuming my request had been noted, disappointed to find that they were nowhere near one another. One room was large, bright & airy the other was small, dark & outdated 😩 Breakfast offered a good selection of food but service was chaotic. Nice hotel but could be better organised and rooms need refurbishing.

Fab place lovely lodges outside them could do with little clean but suppose it's nature the inside clean an homey all's u need is provided aswel the balcony was amazing way lead onto lake it's self so my son could b up close to ducks without being in water there is watersports shop bar restaurant playarea in an out crazy golf walking around lake is nice and central to go out exploring Windermere 30min drive and had an amazing day there also little chippy 5 min drive on north road think was called was lovely food and ok priced to

Buena ubicación, muy buen desayuno. Y hermoso personal. El único lado abajo y la culpa que tengo con el hotel, es el estacionamiento. Pagué por un espacio reservado ya que necesito 24 acceso a mi coche. Pero los espacios son absolutamente demasiado rígidos !!! ¡Una vez que se estacione, es una lucha para abrir la puerta a la ancha suficiente para salir! Sólo puedo imaginar lo que es para una persona de una construcción mayor !! Esto sería fácil de reparar si el hotel tomara 2 espacios y hacer las bayos restantes más grandes !!! Por favor, mire lo que haga!!!! Aparte de eso. Voy a estar de vuelta.

Easy to find. Parking a short distance from entrance. If you are in anyway disabled you can drop off my main entrance but cannot park. There is no lift in the hotel so if disabled you are going to need to ask for a ground floor room. I didn't know there was no lift so they had to quickly change my top floor room to ground floor room. They did this effortlessly despite being fully booked. The room smelt unpleasant so I kept window open and used air freshener. There was no remote for the TV and when they found a spare remote, the TV didn't work. They brought in a second TV and the manager was a hilarious man who made me roar with laughter as he tried to resolve the issues. The food was good. I stayed two days. I would come back.

I chose the hotel given it was next to the University that I wanted to visit. The hotel was clean, spacious and friendly staff. A special mention to Carolyn who was particularly helpful and gave me useful information about the town which I last visited 26 years ago!

Tje room jad everything we needed. Could have been perfect with bery little attention as paint and chrome peeling off of things in the bathroom, but didn't affect the cleanliness. Bed was comfy and sheets cleaned well. The hotel has a little café for the morning, but also the pub next door is great for food.

The staff were friendly and polite, rooms were spotless, excellent continental breakfast. Have stayed several times
