I chose to stay at Dunyo Palace as it had positive reviews by Trip members and it had an outdoor swimming pool. It was also great value for money for solo travellers. I arrived early than expected at check in and staff were ready to greet me! Wonderful reception staff! The hotel was bigger than expected and the reception area was very modern and clean with nicely decorated interior. I was shown to my room which was on the second floor. I stayed in a single persons room 205. It was bigger than expected with a big bathroom. There were extras like a bath, comfy chairs to chill. I had a fridge, kettle and a full size mirror. I like a full size mirror. The room also had air conditioning which was very good and very quiet. I had a view of the front of the hotel from my window that was pleasant. My room smelled very pleasant and was a non smoking room. My bed was very comfortable for my back. Breakfast was a buffet with a lot of Uzbekistan food which I had never tried before. It was a very busy breakfast area. There was a big range of different foods including fruits and cheeses. I liked the spinach parcels they were very tasty. A lot of the food was homemade. I thought it was delicious. There are a range of buses that offer great service to solo travellers arriving on the train. I caught a Marshuktra from the train station number 378. The Marshuktra dropped me at the bus stop on the road for No 1 bus that stops right outside the hotel. You can also take bus 7/33 All very easy and cheaper than a taxi. I would definitely stay at this hotel again because it has a very nice swimming pool that I used in the afternoon after a long morning sight seeing. I would highly recommend visiting Sitorai Mohi Hosa which is a short distance from the hotel and you can take bus 7/33 or walk. It’s an amazing visit if you are interested in art, culture and architecture. The hotel is very convenient for solo travellers who are a bit too old for Hostels! And like a cold swim after a long day sightseeing without breaking the piggy bank! The first pictures are of my hotel room and the front on the hotel. Wasn’t a very pleasant stay. On the first day we felt like a scam. We booked the room with an open window door but when we checked in, they gave us an accessible room next to the lift. Nothing looked like the picture on trip.com nor on Mercure website. The accessible bathroom design was also a huge miss. We tried to talk to front desk but they said that’s the last room they have and there were twin beds in the room, so that’s the correct room. They in the end asked us to request for room change the next day if we don’t ‘like’ it. We waited the manager until late morning next day and explained the issue which was more than a room change request. The manager admitted there are only a few rooms that actually look like the picture on their website. They finally gave us the room that we actually booked after a long argument, and compensated us on the first night issue. Beware of what you booked. They mixed a lot of different rooms into one room category and charge the same price point. The room amenities were basic also.

The room itself was beautifully designed, blending traditional aesthetics with modern comfort. It was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with attention to detail in both décor and amenities. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after long days of sightseeing. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere despite the central location, which can often be a challenge in busy areas. One of the standout features of Boutique Old City is its charming courtyard. It provides a peaceful space to relax, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and soak in the historical ambiance. In the mornings, breakfast was served with a variety of local and international options. Everything was fresh and delicious, and it was a great way to start the day. Another aspect worth mentioning is the hotel’s authenticity. Unlike larger chain hotels, Boutique Old City offers a more intimate and culturally immersive experience. The architecture and interior design reflect the heritage of the region, allowing guests to feel more connected to the destination. Overall, my stay at Boutique Old City exceeded expectations. It combines excellent location, friendly service, and comfortable accommodation in a way that truly enhances the travel experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and authentic stay in the old city.

Rooms were big and clean. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was alright too! No complaints. They have a gym with some outdated workout equipment, not amazing but it’ll be enough to keep you going. Location is around 15-20 mins walk to the old town. But there is a coffee shop nearby and other restaurants not too far away.

Un hotelito muy bonito, justo a las afueras del casco antiguo, a unos cinco o seis minutos a pie del Castillo de Yac y la Mezquita de Bolo Kauz. Estoy especialmente agradecido a Ctrip por su proactiva asistencia a altas horas de la noche y su oferta de cambiarme a un hotel cercano. Sin embargo, como era pasada la medianoche, el sistema del hotel no pudo procesar la reserva y estaba demasiado cansado para esperar. Ctrip me condonó la mitad del precio de la habitación. Lo más importante es que quedé satisfecho con el servicio de atención al cliente online de Ctrip; fueron proactivos, rápidos y siempre estaban conectados, lo cual fue genial. Recuerda llevar el pequeño comprobante blanco al hacer el check-out: ¡esa es tu factura de impuestos!

El mejor hotel en todo el viaje de Uzbekistán, el desayuno es muy rico, las instalaciones hardware están completas, el personal es amable y el servicio es muy alto.

El hotel tiene una estancia fantástica. Nos quedamos 3 noches y se sentía tan agradable volver cada noche a un lugar que se sentía como una casa. El deco era muy moderno y tenía un agradable baño. La comida fresca y la comida fresca se han despertado en la mañana. El propietario es muy amigable y la ubicación de la propiedad está justo al lado de muchas de las principales atracciones, tanto que nos pasamos a muchas de ellas.

El desayuno fue modesto pero satisfactorio, con una sencilla selección continental que nos permitió empezar el día de forma fácil y ligera. Si bien no fue especialmente destacable, cumplió su función para una estancia corta. En general, nuestra estancia en el hotel fue agradable y cómoda. La combinación de su ubicación privilegiada, la limpieza del alojamiento y el atento servicio hicieron de la experiencia una experiencia muy agradable. Lo recomiendo sin dudarlo a quienes buscan comodidad y una cálida bienvenida en el centro histórico de la ciudad.
