Great place not too far from the city but still in a quiet area of town. Clean amenities. Room was slightly small but still had sufficient space. Bathroom was clean. Had access to common kitchen for meals. Will be back!

The room was huge and every care has been taken to ensure you are comfortable. The sofa bed is slatted which means it is like a normal bed. The king bediss amazing, so comfortable. Apart from being on the outskirts of Dunedin (not very far) I could not fault this motel. There is a guest kitchen where you can prepare your own food and then you can join the other guests. The owner was very helpful and could not do enough for us. Would stay again.

My recent stay at Oakridge Resort Lake Wanaka was overall a very positive experience, thanks to its fantastic amenities. After long days spent exploring the stunning surrounding landscapes, the hot pools were an absolute highlight. Soaking in the warm water under the stars was incredibly relaxing and a perfect way to unwind tired muscles. This was definitely a standout feature of the resort and something I greatly appreciated. If I were to be particularly picky, the only minor annoyance during my stay was a faint but persistent hissing sound coming from the telephone line in my room. While it wasn't overly loud, it did become a little distracting when trying to get to sleep. Despite this small issue, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Oakridge Resort.

Прекрасно провел время в этом месте, по пути в Квинстаун идеально по соотношению цена/качество. Правда за окном достаточно рано началась стройка, было слегка шумновато. Продлил на дополнительную ночь.

Communicated by email efficiently prior to trip to confirm baby amenities. No step stool, potty, baby bath, baby warmer or sterilizers but had stair baby gate, fire guard and high chairs. Location was excellent, 1.5km to the Queenstown CBD, walking along the lovely lakeside. Beautiful connected backyard peacefully overlooking the lake, away from the main road. House was very clean, appliances in order and new, kitchen well supplied with utensils, cutlery, dishwater and crockery. Need to buy all your own condiments except salt and pepper. Parking immediately outside your house. Carpeted house except kitchen area. No toilet downstairs, both toilets upstairs, which is the only downside of the house. Washing machine and dryer functioning well. Bathroom floors heated and warm. Only shampoo, body wash and conditioner supplied. No toothbrush, comb etc. Reception helpful and readily available. Lots of games to borrow and play. Gas bbq available for $20/day rental and clean, new. Overall an excellent stay by 4 adults, 1 child and 1 infant.

Great location Unit clean except soap dish in shower and extractor fan

May 2025 stay. There are no bedroom slippers and the design of the toilet doesn’t quite make sense to me, it has gaps between the doors hence it’s super cold when i get out of the shower even when i already turned off the aircon. Shower screen glass is not totally opaque which can be awkward. We also requested extra hangers 3 times as we had a long stay and only got it the third time we asked. Otherwise, i think the room is cozy. Breakfast is standard everyday. Location wise you need to walk down the hill to the central area and walk back up which can be tiring. Caught a rainbow on one of the mornings during our stay :)

This was a lovely motel for my husband and dog. Very clean, good bed, two tvs and complimentary teas, coffees and bathroom shampoos abd body wash. Shower was hot and good pressure. Had a good heater and electric blanket. Good value for money. Would definitely go back again.

Overall, I’d recommend Scenic Hotel Southern Cross for anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel in Dunedin with friendly service and all the essentials covered.
