Lovely room and good ambiance, just let down by work in car park and a delivery truck running its engine outside our room early on Saturday morning.

Perfect weekend made even more special by the excellent team. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The hotel is really well located a short walk from the train station and all the sites of York. It is super comfortable, A cosy home from home. Rooms were really well appointed with super comfy bedding.
Our stay was made even more special by the amazing team. From the check in, an afternoon cup of tea and breakfast. Super professional and friendly staff.

The room was to warm even when the heating was turned off. The price you pay is a bit on the high side for it's location as it is about a 10 to15 minute walk to the city centre. The hotel parking could be free as this could help with future booking because of its location and a good gesture to anybody looking to booking this hotel. This hotel is good for some people but for some people who want to be in the city center who have difficulties in getting around there is other hotels with the same standards closer to the center of york. The bar prices are higher then some hotels i have stayed in. I have to say the room was nice, breakfast was ok the staff were helpful and polite, checking in and out was a breeze. The restaurant in the hotel was great but this can also be a bit on the expensive side for that experience for some people.
Overall the trip was good but i would look at saying near the city centre when booking York again just a bit to far out for me and i am a fit and active person also with this location on a cold wet and windy night walking back to your hotel could be interesting. Plus i have only ever seen taxis at the train station and down by York minster when out and about in the city centre.
