MainStay Suites Northbrook Wheeling

Everything was up to standard and it had a upbeat lively atmosphere amongst staff and patrons.

One of the worst hotel stays ever. The corridors and rooms smelled really bad, the floors were sticky, the bed linen and pillows were terrible. The staff was great, but unfortunately that did not make up for the terrible rooms. Will never stay at a Main Suites again.

I’d never stay here again, the condition of this place wasn’t good. Not clean at all, the comfort was terrible, it’s not being well maintained. Awful stay!!!

The staff are friendly, but the property appears somewhat run down. I suppose this type of hotel does not have a real concierge.

Rooms are not clean. We changed rooms but second room was also not cleaned properly. Worn out furniture and very dirty sofas will not recommend

All staff was excellent,(Bruce) The staff was very respectful and considerate of their customers.. I recommend this hotel to anyone.. thank you so much for your hospitality… Kimberly Crouch

I liked the location. I asked for an early check-in at 2PM. You would think i had asked for the moon and finally told that the foom would have to be inspected and take at least 30 minutes. I have been coming to this hotel, now has a new name and is an extended stay, for over 15 years, but i will not be returning.The hall carpet is filthy and soiled throughout. Plaster has been shoddily repaired in the lobby and is crumbling, same around the shower area in the bathroom. They only clean the rooms every 7 days and only if requested, so there is slways garbage in the hsll and stacked by the elevator. The smoke alarm went off during the middle of the day and it took about 45 minutes for them to figure out how to silence it. The ratings for this place must be faked. Their is no way on earth it should be rated anywhere near average.

The room itself wasn’t terribly dirty but outside of that the hotel was very dirty and smelled bad.
