Killingworth Castle

What a great find! Lovely rooms, a**ospheric pub a**osphere with fantastic food. The staff team were welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. Our evening meal was one of the best we have had in England for a long time and breakfast was as the chef was heard to comment "no ordinary fry-up". We can vouch for that! We will definitely come back for a repeat visit.

Had the tasting menu + flight of wines . At £85 + £40 for wine was very reasonable. Food was exquiste as was the wine. Service was excellent. Location is quaint and impressive as you drive up. Ample parking with electric charging point. Would highly reccomend

We booked as a result of reading the Michelin Guide. What an excellent choice for a family meeting . Warm welcome, clear website and delighted to visit a place equal distance between family homes, Delightful weather, lovely countryside. Warm log fire in the bar, open restaurant with nicely spaced tables. Very good menu covering all our needs. Starters very nicely created and very tasty. Mains , the venison was very tasty , accompanied by lovely sauce, and a sneaky order of chips Desserts of high quality and delicious. Service friendly and professional. Altogether a great experience with a top class chef and team., thank you We will hope to return.

Very friendly reception and service. Food quality and presentation of a very high order. I am surprised there are not more reviews we certainly will eat and entertain here again. No real negatives would recommend the John Dory.

Great location for our visit to blenheim palace with ample parking. The food is superb and coeliacs catered for with no compfomise on the fine dining option Wine selection was also excellent and good value. Will return this chris**as

We needed to stay somewhere while our bathroom was being redone as well as somewhere special to mark my exit from shielding! Beautiful location, minimal stairs (I use a wheelchair) and a lovely breakfast! Really loved the sort of four poster bed, the rain head shower and how photogenic everything is! Friendly staff and good Wi-Fi. One point would be that the soap provided was a little too scented for my liking, and perhaps some lever taps? I could just about reach!

What an amazing find - stayed last weekend and was blown away by the high standard of food and excellent service. Such a beautiful, log fired pub where the staff are fantastic, food is incredible, wines are great, beds super comfy and rooms cosy. With fascinating Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds on the doorstep. Highly recommend and can't wait to return!

So looking forward to staying here after staying at your sister pub but lacking a little on this occasion and not up to the Ebrington high standards Bed very uncomfortable Room1 and black mould around the bath which was disappointing On a positive note lovely home furnishings in keeping with the place and as always excellent food and service Just a few little disappointing ******* let you down on this occasion
