The hotel is located in a charming little town between breathtaking volcanic hills and the ocean. The rooms are very spacious and although a bit worn out, well designed and very clean. Our room was equipped with a little kitchen, a coffee maker, and a 40" TV. The breakfast buffet wasn't very impressive - just some basics typical for midrange hotels in Spain and Portugal - but the food was fresh and of decent quality. The rooftop pool is a nice place to spend time and chill out unless you want to swim - it's rather shallow (1,1 m). Still, a good place to cool down after sunbathing. The staff were not very friendly and outgoing but rather polite. Many of them did not speak English but I suppose they spoke German which in the area of Valle Gran Rey seems to be the mother tongue of most guests. All in all, we had a pleasant, relaxing stay there and I would recommend this hotel and it's surroundings to anyone looking for a picturesque place to unwind and relax.
