- Amazing building and gardens overlooking the sea (west coast), you can’t believe you’re staying somewhere so beautiful for that price. Unbelievable sunsets! - Staff are so friendly - particularly Richard (front of house), Catherine the chef, and Joel the Masai guard - Service is brilliant - they will take in your bags for you and do all they can to help you - We stayed one night after a late flight from the mainland as it was close to the airport - great location and meant we didn’t need to drive into Stone Town which is not fun to drive in - Free and secure parking - WiFi - Incredible breakfast which is included (!) - So cheap for the level of service you get - We liked it so much that we decided to come here for dinner on our last day in Zanzibar which was delicious - The car we had rented broke down outside the gates, blocking the driveway. About six staff members all came to help us push the car up the hill and out of the way, which was so kind. The manager also called our car rental company for us to ask them to come and fix our car. While we waited, they gave us a welcome juice drink and took in our bags. They are amazing. Only cons are that the bathrooms are a bit tired and could do with updating - though for the price you wouldn’t expect much better! There’s also no air con but I didn’t get too hot.

El hotel está situado en el centro de la ciudad, y me quedé en la habitación 101 (Sala Real con vistas al mar) que es una de las mejores y más grandes habitaciones de este hotel. Desafortunadamente, it’s appeared that there is no quality control in the rooms especially this room mainly bathroom, in the shower area there is no place to keep a soap (no soap holder), La casa de baño es muy agradable y se puede encontrar en el hotel, pero no es fácil. (ver las fotos) mi esposa y yo se sientan muy irritantes usandolas. I traveled to Zanzibar after climbing Kilimanjaro this past July and decided to stay at The Seyyida. I had originally booked this trip for 2020 but we all know how that story ended…The staff at The Seyyida were generous enough to move my booking to 2021, andddd then again to 2022 when my trekking group postponed the trip a second time (still due to Covid). The hotel itself is beautiful. I had a room with a ocean view and I felt like royalty. The bed was HUGE, the bathroom lovely, and the balcony (albeit small) offered a *STUNNING* view. They offer to spray mosquito repellent every night and, although I do highly recommend taking them up on this offer, it does have quite a lingering smell. So plan to be out of your room for dinner or a tour for a couple of hours. The rooftop restaurant is beautiful and offers an amazing view of the city and ocean. The hotel staff was nothing short of amazing. When my hair dryer broke, they found me another. When I needed more towels, they brought me them immediately. When my driver never showed up for a a tour I had booked, they arranged for a new tour and a driver was there in 5min. They mailed a postcard for me when I asked where the bearer post office was! They let me leave my suitcases there after I checked out because my ferry wasn’t until the afternoon—and they even helped me carry my *very* large duffel (from climbing the mountain) all the way to the ferry!!! I also had an amazing massage here on a rainy day when I wasn’t sure what to fill my day with. The front lobby is unreachable by car, but it is perfectly located, and quick/easy by foot to meet a driver on the road. Within walking distance of so much. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked lovely as well. It’s not very big, but big enough to sit and relax. Cannot speak highly enough about the wonderful front desk workers (and all other staff) and this beautiful place.

Este hotel es algo muy especial. Pequeña joya oculta en una antigua ciudad. La ubicación está directamente en la playa; se oye las ondas flamingo, mientras se sienta en la zona de comedor fuera.
