Hotel le Central

we have a very bad experience at this hotel. we don't recommend this hotel to anyone! there was no check-in and no check-out, the room was very dated and the bed was much too small, everything smelled like fish from the fish restaurant downstairs. the hotel had forgotten to charge the tourist tax and then emailed us that we had forgotten to pay (€3.20)… we were not even asked how we liked our stay and of course we still transferred the €3.20. Unfortunately there is no mutual respect or understanding.

I chose this hotel because I love French sea/harbour front hotels. On arrival the man on reception was very welcoming and upgraded me to the next level because the hotel wasn't full. Since there is absolutely NO free parking in Trouville he persuaded me to take advantage of the hotel's private parking @ 15 euros a day. Street parking is 9 euros a day but you cannot guarantee where you'll be able to park. The hotel's parking area was a quite a walk back to the hotel, so I only took what I needed for two nights. As it turned out I only stayed one night. The room was very comfortable and clean but nothing really special. I had a side view of the harbour and street, but I wonder what my original room would have been like if this was an upgrade. Pillows were not standard size, but two small squares. Shower very underpowered. However paying 15 euros for breakfast is a rip off. Fruit juice, tea and bread with a selection of jam. I expected at least to have a choice of eggs after all the breakfast room is on top the restaurant kitchen, where substantial lunches are prepared for the hotel staff. There was a cafe around the corner that served omelettes for 8 euros but was closed. Had I had the time I would have tracked down another cafe. But as there were no tea making facilities in the room I was desperate for a cuppa. Why no tea making facilites? There are other hotels where parking and breakfast is included in the daily rate. If I travel again to Trouville I'll stay in one of those.

The room facing estuary was absolutely delightful and we had a great nights sleep the staff were also very very helpful and spoke great English although the head waiter was a bit of a character ( control freak not a good person to represent rest of hotel staff )But the hotel is like a lite up lighthouse for area and there are soo many other choices of food restaurants around to eat.

Just parked and walked in Friendly staff accommodated us to a clean big room at a decent price right above the fish market which surrounded by many great seafood places to eat Also bars in walking distance and shops as well Very nice animated area

We having been visiting Trouville and staying at Le Central for 30 years and it is our 'go to' destination for all that is good about Normandy. The staff at the hotel and brasserie are warm and friendly. The ladies on reception (Marie-Laure & Virginie) are extremely helpful and always eager to make our stay comfortable and happy. The food is extremely good and we found the latest update to the menu most welcome, as it introduced several new options (including vegetarian), but also retained some of the brasserie classics we have loved over the years. We certainly hope to carry on visiting and enjoying the delights of Trouville and Le Central.

Nous avions expressément choisi cet hôtel pour avoir 2 lits simples. Le message n’aurait pas été transmis par booking, et aucune solution n’a été trouvée. Les lit faisant 140, il y a donc eu une très forte proximité avec ma partenaire de voyage qui a fait passer 2 nuits pas au rendez-vous. De plus du à l’ancienneté du bâtiment et l’irrespect des clients : nous attendons chaque personne passer dans l’escalier, les discussions des chambres autour, les bruits de la rue même volets fermés. La deuxième nuits entre les retours de soirée dans l’hôtel, la musique dans la rue et les poubelles à 5h30 la nuit fut plus que courte. Pour finir, nous avons eu chaud, mais nous n’avons pas essayé de baisser le radiateur peut être aurions pu éviter cette problématique. Concernant le ménage : très propre, cependant, présence de moisissure sur le pommeau de douche … L’hôtel a fait le job, mais pas au niveau

Trop cher qualité nul la viande est un pavé très utile pour une manifestation le principal de repas était des frites la seul chose sur et certaine ses que je reviendrai le jour ou j’aurai envie de me casser les dent‍♀️

Nous connaissons cet hôtel depuis 3 générations et y descendons régulièrement. Le personnel est adorable, les lieux très agréables et le restaurant toujours à la hauteur (la friture un délice, le poisson toujours frais, le baba une tuerie avec son rhum à volonté… et bien d’autres plats encore !) La literie est très bonne, la décoration soignée et les suites très chouettes nichées tout en haut de l’établissement ! Le petit déjeuner apporté en chambre est aussi délicieux. C’est un sans faute en ce qui nous concerne et revenons toujours avec plaisir dans un lieu devenu familier où nos parents et grands parents descendaient déjà…

Hotel centre ville , chambre donnant sur la rue derrière, très fréquentée, mais, vu l emplacement, on se doute que ce sera un peu bruyant. Avec les volets roulants, c est très supportable. Assenceur pratique avec les bagages. Chambre simple, propre, sdb, petite mais bien agencée, avec une douche suffisamment grande, eau bien chaude. Par contre, il faut savoir que le petit déjeuner, servi au 1er étage est à 15e ! C est pareil, on nous le dit et rien ne nous oblige à le prendre. J aurai aimé un petit morceau de fromage, le monsieur à la réception m à averti que dans ce cas, il y aurait un supplément !,je me suis abstenue. Mais, le plus ...étrange, c est que en sortant, j ai vu que le petit déjeuner servi dans la salle où en terrasse... était équivalent et beaucoup moins cher ! Pensez y ! Pour finir, le personnel est aimable, poli , sauf les persponsables croisés à l étage, pas de bonjour...
