Wouldn't recommend the place overall. The location is very good but there are way better places in the area for these money. The bed is very uncomfortable, still have back pains. The bathroom is the smallest one we have ever seen, no place to turn around although we are quite fit. For bigger person it will not be able to use it. Breakfast is mainly junk/sweets/muffins and although it is claimed to be until 10 am, there is no chance you will see more than half of the board after 9 am. No additional plates are brought once something gets finished, barely could ask for 2 fried eggs. Spent there 8 days and will not visit the place again.

The staff of every department was well- mannered, caring and professional. The amenities and facilities exactly as described and the view from our balcony at the top floor was breathtaking. Our room was very comfortable ,clean and cozy. The private parking next to the hotel was a life- saver at reasonable prices. Finally, as far as the location is concerned, the centre of Thessaloniki is at your feet! What more could a guest want for a perfect stay?

Too hot room, air conditioning not working. Suggestion from the reception was to open the windows. Too small shower where you are always touching the shower protection (touched by thousands of other people).. a bit disgusting. Not recommended.

Location central but busy & therefore noisy. Rooms clean & functional & reasonable value. Staff know their responsibilities but don’t go the extra mile, especially on the front desk. Choose only for function, not if after a memorable stay.

Fair enough for what we paid. The room was clean and that's the most important for me. The breakfast was good and the location too. The staff was always kind and helpful during our stay. They gave us some really good recommendations. Overall a nice stay.

We really liked the hotel and our stay there. The room was very nice, new and very clean, and cleaning service was great. We really liked the breakfast in the hotel, it had various savory and sweet options, different vegetables, fruits, cheeses, pastries, juices, and everything was very tasty (especially the best rice pudding and apple-filled pastries I ever had…). The coffee they serve is very delicious too. There was also a part of food offer that is adequate for Jews (kosher) which is very nice. The location of the hotel is ideal - it’s located near the city center (Aristoteles square and the city port) but in a bit more quiet area. One can have a pleasant walk to the square, along a wide street with many shops, restaurants and cafes. In between the hotel and the square there is an area with numerous traditional restaurants with really delicious food! What I would like to point out is how kind and helpful the staff is. We had a medical problem on the last day of our stay and had to go to the hospital. Katerina, at the reception desk, helped us so much and let us use the room and leave our baggage there much past the check out time, because we couldn’t be there on time for the checkout because of the whole hospital protocol. She was there for us and prolonged our stay for one more night, when we asked, just by phone. It was the help we really needed at the moment and she was very kind and understanding, that meant a lot to us. Thank you once more! Also, that day one person from the room couldn’t come to the breakfast because of the medical problem, and the lovely staff at the restaurant gave me a plastic box and told me that I can take anything I want from the buffet and bring them to the room. I would also like to mention Julia, the other lady at the reception desk, who was also very helpful and sweet, and the gentleman at the restaurant who made me an excellent coffee and was very kind and made our stay even more pleasant! Thank you for a nice stay and all the kindness! We will for sure be returning to Astoria hotel! ☺️

I have stayed at the Astoria quite a number of times now and have always had a comfortable stay and received a good service from friendly staff. The hotel is ideally located near the seafront for walks on the promenade, Ladadika for restaurants and bars and the shopping area.
