Returners to The Bear,great and convenient place to stop,staff friendly and helpful
Room good size ,clean and well stocked with tea and coffee
but bit excessive on the cushions!

6 of us (plus 3 dogs) meet annually for a walking weekend. The Bear was a perfect place to stay - characterful hotel, excellent service, good food, comfortable rooms.

This is our annual trip that we like to take. The bear never disappoints. I love this time of year, sitting by the fire on a cold day. Food is always top quality, staff can never do enough for you..

Very courteous and friendly staff. Check-in easy. We were phoned a few days earlier to ask if we would like to reserve a table for dinner as they were filling up fast; this was welcome and unexpected. Good food. Beautiful hanging floral displays outside. Spacious room with its own front door. Powerful shower, good welcome pack. The only gripe is the tv had some very odd channels on it. We were very impressed with this hotel and hope to return next year. Good location for exploring.

Gorgeous place. Looks fab as you drive up to the hotel and you are not disappointed when you go inside either.
really friendly and helpful staff. great a**osphere in the bar food very varied, well presented and yummy! our double room was great too. situated in a little courtyard surrounded by stunning flowers and hanging baskets. 10 out of 10
